The pizza I ordered was excellent....tasted like my favorites...up in Wisconsin. I would highly recommend this place. All the employees were very nice and helpful.

Interesting place which seems to be like a Dinner, Pizza Parlor, Sandwich Shop. Called my order in and a nice person answered the phone like from Mel's Dinner. She was very nice and we had a quick short conversation because I had never ordered from there. I ordered a Chicago Beef Sandwich and Wings. Arriving at the restaurant I found it very clean. It was a little dark inside but it had a nice atmosphere. My food wasn't ready but the servers were on top of it. Chicago Beef Sandwich was very tasty. Wasn't overly salty. And the juices to dip it into or very tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The wings were very crispy and good as well. I would be ordering from them again.

Fantastic pizza. We've been looking for that down-home Chicago pizza taste. Thin crust was the best! Did not disappoint either of us. Thank you Guido's.

I work next door to Guido's. It is our go to place for the awesome sandwiches. I can make an Italian beef last 3 days! My family favorite is the antipasto salad and pizza with everything!

Their food and atmosphere makes you feel like you are in Italy! Cheese pizza and pepperoni pizzas are incredibly delicious and authentic. I definitely recommend their homemade cannolis, they are heavenly goodness! The staff is very friendly and food comes out fast! We will be back again. I love Guido's!

My second review after giving 5 stars the first time. I order here once a week. Large sausage and mushroom, cooked extra and cut in squares. 1. To go is bagged (paper) . I'm glad they aren't using cardboard. Pizza is still hot when I get home. 2. Great sausage. And plenty of it. 3. Rarely, is the cut not all the way through the pizza. My pizza cutter at home takes care of that. 4. Everybody I have had contact with in the store is sweet as pie. 5. Cooked well done?? It's perfect. Edges are crunchy instead of soft. It's the only way order IMHO. 6. Price. Reasonable 7. Online ordering could use an upgrade but still easy enough. I recommend the pizza, eat in or take out. It's a good shop in a small town without a ton of options.

If you enjoy frozen pizza then Guido's is the place for you. I did a comparison test between Guido's Pizza and Red Baron frozen pizza and they were exactly the same and texture and in taste. Btw who puts large pizzas in a bag? You can buy a frozen pizza for the same price. I never criticized your staff or family. I was born and raised in New York in Italian neighborhoods and part Italian myself, I know Pizza and I stand behind my review! I am not a hater like you suggest I just know a good product when I see one and when you boast for a hundred years of pizza making that's your opinion like this is my opinion. Disgrazia!

This was a cute little family restaurant. Had a little bar that stayed full of entire visit. Place was busy. Service was good. Pricing was reasonable. The pizza was delicious. It is thin crust pizza.

I expect an additional charge for gluten free no problem. I expect a charge per topping sure. But for 2.75 each topping? For a small pizza? And not even get my money's worth one bit?! No. No thanks. Won't order again from here. Service was great and the smell inside restaurant was delicious but this was the worst first impression when it came to quality. Utterly lacking. My toppings cost more than the actual pizzas. Plus, take a look at the pics, there were bot enough toppings for what was charged in my opinion. And the taste didn't even save it.

Okay at best. We got apps quickly but then only saw our server once in the next ~30-40 minutes while we waited for our dinners. The party that came in right before us ate their dinner and received their dessert before our dinner came. The party that came in right after us ate dinner and left before ours came. At our servers suggestion we got 2 of the most popular dishes; chopped sirloin steak and the "guido" Trio. The steak was overcooked and had to be sent back for another long wait. It was much better the second time but everyone else was already done eating. The Guido Trio (chicken parm, eggplant parm, and ravioli) was not impressive. The chicken had a slight charred taste around the edges but was otherwise okay. The eggplant and ravioli both just tasted like the marinara sauce so I couldn't even taste the difference between the two. Neither dish was very filling and we both had to eat again in a few hours. The tiramisu was good and the only thing I would recommend here. Our server was very nice but did seem very preoccupied with taking care of to-go orders (seemingly by themselves?) while the other server took care of the rest of the tables.

Let me just say as a previous Illinoian it is very hard to find good Chicago Style pizza. The pizza is top notch. Add that to the service and you get 5 stars for sure. I told the hostess I was from Illinois and she made a point to come to my table to see what I thought. I approve. Our server Dawn was very sweet. I had to take an emergency phone call and she asked my mom if she could put some pizza aside and cover it for me. She also stopped to make sure I was okay when I came back. She is definitely a people person and that showed today. Thank you so much!!!

BE AWARE OF OVERCHARGES!!! I had three tickets to pay for because we were not asked whether everything was going to be on one ticket or not. After reviewing the tickets I handed them over to the waitress. The waitress said that she could not combine them and that she would have to ring them up separately....no big deal to me it's all going to come out the same one way or another. The first two tickets were paid seamlessly with no delay... The last ticket however the waitress was taking longer as she was tapping on her screen prior to ringing up my credit card. She placed the receipts of the last transaction on the counter and walked off to work on some more tables. When I glance down I noticed she added a drink to my ticket even though $2.50 is not going to make or break the bank the fact that she modified my ticket at all is very unnerving. I waited for her to return to the counter so that I can point out that she overcharged me she pulled out $2.50 put it on the counter and then threw another quarter on top of it and said for taxes. No apologies no explanation of any sort to how the ticket got changed. I still give the place three stars because the food is fresh the portions are great. All of my previous visits were spectacular. This experience honestly left me questioning whether or not I should ever return. To lose a patron over $2.50 is very sad.

This was our second time here. 1st time, I would have given it a 2 star review because of the service. We had lunch there (subs) and the waitress was rude and the food was okay at best... soggy, untoasted bread for chicken parm that turned the bread to mush before it was served. This time we took the family and ordered two large pizzas. It had a weird sour taste to it, to the point that 4 people only finished half of 1 pie. Only my 9 year old liked it who thought it tasted like the school pizza. We mentioned it to the waitress who said she loves it, but couldn't tell us what type of cheese they used... " mozzarella i think". Not sure why we asked for a box, but apparently they don't use boxes. They gave us a Styrofoam box and tin foil sheets to box up one and a half pizzas in. Will definitely not go back.

40 bucks and it's pretty much totinos before it's frozen. And the bonus was the fact both "pies" were burnt. Shoe leather with toppings. Should of got Chinese food.

Very sad that Guidos pizza has gone downhill since we’ve been coming here for a few years now. Removed my previous 5 star review I posted 3 years ago because I don’t feel like it’s the same quality/ value as it used to be. We used to pay $12.50 for a plain large cheese pizza, price increase (like everything else) now it’s up to $15.50 for a large with no toppings. Pizza was burnt, dry, hard to chew and smaller than normal. Very sad that Guidos quality and value isn’t there anymore

We ordered a cheese and sausage pizza which was excellent and decided to take 2 home to bake later. Hard to find a good pizza, let alone sausage with fennel in FLA. The pizza is absolutely delicious. Totally enjoyed our experience. We froze the pizzas that we bought home and covered them in heavy duty aluminum foil. Defrosted in the fridge overnight and then followed the supplied directions. Very, very good! I will be back…

We were a group of seven people on Saturday 7/10/2022 and had a waitress named Matilda. She was very rude and forgot a the salad that we had to remind her, then she for got the meal and forgot the bread. She did not pay much attention to our table. we had to keep asking for fresh drink refills and she had a attitude when being asked. She would not comp the forgotten meal and blamed new management. The food was not that great and the crust was burnt and the salad was ok. We will not return and not recommend to anybody.

The pizza was fine but only beer and wine? Not a fan. The fried calamari was TERRIBLE, it was frozen prepackaged rings. Please get rid of them!! Made my stomach upset. The place is dull and dingy. Really outdated. Staff was nice though.

Been coming here for years- food was always good, customer service was always warm and welcoming & tonight it all changed for us when my husband went in to get our pizza. The woman checking him out was very rude and dismissive to him as she told him to hold on several times for several minutes as she was flirting with someone at the bar. We live across the street not even 3 minutes away… when my husband got home he told me what had happened and I opened the pizza to it being ice cold. I called to speak to the manager and told him how our experience was not usually like this & he just kept repeating okay… okay… okay… with no care in the world & asked if he wanted to make a fresh one… no sir… if you made it correct the first time and your employees would do their job we wouldn’t be on this situation. Unfortunately the pizza doesn’t even taste how it used to and we found an eyelash or bread hair in our pizza. Sadly this place seems to be going downhill after reading all the newest reviews. Hope it finds its way back.

Very good food. Pretty casual. Nice staff. The lasagna is excellent - although it is a very large portion. Enough for two easily. Decent salad, however, no red wine vinegar - only balsamic. Can't figure that one out.

  • 5/5 Amanda C. 1 year ago on Google
I am rating 5 stars because I love the lasagna, chicken parm, and Chicago style pizza. The chicken pastina soup was good, but the chicken had the consistency of canned chicken. I also ordered Mozzarella sticks tonight and got the equivalent of what I can buy at my child’s ball game. Please consider a homemade Mozzarella square instead. $8.95 for frozen Mozzarella sticks? That’s not cool.

This place is wonderful! The pizza is very good! But if you're from up North, (Ma) you're used to having your pizza cut like a pie, & Guidos cuts it like chicago-style- into little squares, which I'm not particularly fond of, BUT.... I ask for a pie cut, & I get it! I'm extremely happy! Also, The girls that work there are AWESOME, the service is excellent! My husband and I try to eat there once a week!😋🍕❤️

First timer. I'm a native Chicagoan, and it really is the wonderful taste of home. I love this pizza and am a Guido's devotee. Thank you. Update/01-21. Had to try the Italian Beef, the Chicago speciality. It was wonderful...with all the right stuff/great meat/great au jus/sweet peppers. I brought friends to dinner there who know Chicago Pizza only as thick crust. What a surprise to learn the pizza is thin crust and...I quote..."best Pizza we've eaten". Guido's is a special place for insane food.

Second time here and it was fantastic! Long wait both times, but was well worth it. My server was absolutely fantastic even tho he’s a Kentucky chief’s fan, I’ll let him slide this once. I recommend for anyone who likes thin crust quality pizza! I will definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

The pizza tastes great but it's real thin and very hard to eat with your fingers you need a knife and fork

  • 5/5 Sue H. 3 years ago on Google
Pizza is great and they listen when you ask them to cook it a certain way. Service is good on most days but if dine in is busy, the quality sometimes slips. Hard to get refills on drinks and, at times, depending on which waitress you get, you will only see her to take your order, deliver it to the table when the kitchen has it ready, and then again when the check is delivered. Take out is very popular. Prices are reasonable and portions are adaquate.

I've never really cared for Chicago style pizzas but Guido's makes an exceptional pie. I was a little put off when I picked up my pizza and they handed it to me in a bag. The lady kindly explained that the bag helps keep the thin crust crispy by not trapping the steam in a box with it. When I got home and started eating, I was very happy to discover that she was very right. The pizza itself was pretty damn good (I scarfed a quarter of a large pie in one sitting). I didn't sit in the restaurant but the inside looks very warm and welcoming. I will definitely be making this one of my regular food spots from here out.

We ordered a large thin round pizza, it was cut in squares. Not my favorite way. The pizza had a decent amount of toppings but the sauce was a bit bland. The cheese was good. All in All just average. The pictures on the menu didn't make the entree's look favorable.

Excellent go to “family” owned small Italian restaurant with that old school Italian flair!!! Their pizza is super thin and when order well done, is soooo crispy and just the most delicious pizza by far!!! Come all the way from New England for their pizza!!! Keep it simple.. their pepperoni pizza is to die for, and their sausage is always on point! Guido’s will never let you down!

Worth the wait... We were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy. Service was good and pleasant. There was a lengthy wait for our food, but this can be explained with the pandemic taking an effect in staffing and the restaurant being busy. Once the food arrived it was hot, plentiful and had that great homemade taste. Ordered for our table the linguini and clam sauce and a pizza. We could not finish our meals and brought home the extra. An item that I would like to see would be better take home containers. They have a ‘one size for all’ regardless of what you are taking with you. If you are wondering if the take home containers is the only reason I gave 4 stars, that is not so. While the wait can be explained as stated above, other tables were served ahead of us and we were not checked on with updates on our food. Yes, I will return 😊

Had the take and bake pizza for home. Nice having the pizza piping hot out of your own oven rather than pick up and gets cold driving home. Also, their individual pizza with the antipasto salad in store is excellent.
