Absolutely beautiful! Id you are looking for a small place to spend time with your family but beautiful, this place is worth checking out! I never knew about this man made beach 🏖! Our grandparents have been coming for a while now! So now we will as well! A few people but not many sand was beautiful and the water was not too cold! The kids loved it! Thank you!! A great place you made for us all to enjoy!

SunWest is a terrific place to spend the day, enjoying the great outdoors in a safe and clean environment. All day parking is only $5.00 and that is a bargain. Food trucks are their on the weekends and the shaved ice and BBQ are delicious. Go and enjoy a day or a few hours you won't be sorry you did.

This is a quick great quick go-to beach; for adults and kids. What I like most about Sun West is that it is everyone's beach. You get all types of people from all different walks of life. It is like the "Wal-Mart" of beaches-and I mean that affectionately! Every one seems to respect your space...you beach bubble. People are quick to help or answer a question. The beach is huge so enough space for everyone. The parking can be limited at times, but there is typically always a space out there. Pros; Big beach, typically clean, rinse of stations, bathrooms, changing rooms, volleyball nets, knee boarding, obstacle courses in water, food trucks for snacks, trash cans throughout. Cons; The lake is buoyed off due to a 20ft drop so you don't actually have a lot of depth for swimming unless you are kid. It goes about waist deep at most for adults. Pro/Con depending on the type of person you are; a lot of folks like to play music. Sometimes it can be annoying when you have a few groups blaring different music around you. So.etimes people blare some music that may not be appropriate for kids, but the beach is huge so if you're that type plenty of space to relocate. Parking $5.00 via debit/credit card. No dogs allowed.

$17 each to do the water course and I had 3 very happy teen boys! Great family beach with white sand and warm shallow swimming area for kids!

This is the PERFECT little beach park, great for families and very inexpensive. Parking is easy and it only costs $5; it's right on the beach so you don't have to haul your stuff very far. It has food trucks with lots of options, clean restrooms, water sports and a water park. The sand is nice and the water is shallow enough to just relax. Clean water, not cold. I absolutely loved this place and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking to spend a day at the beach.

I love this place. So very close to home. A hidden local Jewel. The sand is beach perfect. The parking is plentiful and is next to the beach. People mind their business and are polite.

GREAT PARK. We went there to Kayak. We read all about the price and hours of Kayaking. We went on a Sunday. No Kayaks. No one could tell us why. So disappointed. We enjoyed swimming and the beautiful beach instead. We also had BBQ sandwiches from the food truck. For two of us with drinks it was $21 for lunch. Delicious BBQ owner said he is there only on the weekends. His food and service was top notch.

Came to visit from NJ and was searching for a beach for a quick trip. SunWest Park was perfect! Even at 4pm on a Sunday. You have the option to a regular beach with a swimming space, or to purchase tickets to the adventure portion. Lots of families and enough room to accommodate everyone of all ages. Extremely clean. There are also volleyball areas on the beach. A huge parking lot so no parking issues like we are used to at jersey beaches. I think there may be a building with bathrooms but we had no use for going so I’m not sure about that. Also there’s a food truck or a drink truck. This makes for a perfect beach day any day.

Always love coming here! It's quiet and peaceful first thing in the mornings and the grounds are well kept. The kids have a blast! Parking is $5, definitely worth it!

My kids love coming here to play the wake board every time we come to Florida. It's best to come during the summer when water is warm..but we came during the winter this time so it was a little chilly today....the only good thing is that there are no lines and not crowded 🤗🤗🤗 like summer time.

Awesome little gem of a beach! Very family friendly with bathrooms, fresh water showers, and a food truck that serves fresh tasty hot dogs, piña colada’s, snow cones, and all types of great refreshments. The beach it’s self is small but not too small, perfect size for it not to get too over crowded. There’s lots fun water activities for family and kids to enjoy. The water is clear with a white sandy bottom. Also parking is only $5 for all day. Great place to come make memories with loved ones on a trip to FL.

Super bummed about this place. Was thinking was gonna be nice the bathroom was covered in bugs coming out of the toilet smelt of straight urine and the Changing table was broken. There was cigarette buts all over the beach and the water was littered with various things upon entering the sides of the road was litterally with beer cans etc. Was.not what I anticipated. Further the designated shallow area unless the.buoy moved because my 6 year old was in shallow water and then went near buoy and dropped underwater within seconds we had to rescue her. We went on a Monday at 12 and no life guard on duty. Just some people smelling of Marijuana cussing around out 2 year old, 6 year old and our baby. Not family friendly for us at least 😕

Lots of sandy beach to enjoy! The kids went kayaking. On Memorial Day, it was crowded, but still plenty of room on beach. Had some fun on water park bounce island.

Love this place! Right around the corner for me and can spend hours here enjoying the sun, water and beach in general. They have done a great job building this place up. They have several activities including water skiing and a water park. The water itself is very shallow, but it's still a fun place to go to

Cute park great for kids especially little ones. Sandy Beach kept clean. However, not much swimming area just deep enough to reach waist I'm only 5.2 but there is a bunch of activities for the kids such as a water jungle gym and a zip line if you want to try water boarding. You can also rent kayaks but not far to go if you do. Pricing unknown

Beautiful local beach, we've been going every weekend. It's clean, it's relatively quiet. Lifeguards. The amusement center is great and the wakeboarding line is neat. We love it here.

Fantastic Experience! What a jewel in Pasco County! It’s a perfect beach for young kids as well as elderly people that can’t walk long distances. Very family friendly. Inexpensive parking and food trucks. My mom was able to walk to the water because the distance was not long. Thank you!

Great place to bring the family! Very clean beach and shallow enough water for them to play. Or a quick jump in and then lay out and get some sun. Inexpensive to park, restrooms and showers

Great place to go if you don't want to travel to the coast. Very family friendly with kayaking, water skiing, and inflatable course on the water. Food trucks show up for food and drink option.

Pretty cool place. The beach it has a wake board pull. It pulls you around this man made lake. There are jumps and there is an area for water activities. The good thing is it monitors for bacteria in the water but the bad thing is the signs telling you this are confusing as to if the water is safe or not. I am assuming that the off all water activities are going on the water is safe.

Beautiful little beach, salt water, very clean, including the bathrooms and the grounds are well kept! $5 daily parking, or $30 yearly pass. We chose the pass since we are so close. There are food options from a couple trucks but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Pack a bag and cooler, you'll be good to go!

We enjoyed the scenery but the water itself was not desirable. It smelled of well water. However the children had a good time and so did I. If the water was better our experience would have been. It is a good out door experience with a lot to do.

A very different park with a range of activities. Clean and fun. We felt compelled to kayak in the canal out to the gulf. We did it, but the park isn't yet set up to make this easy. For example you need to drag the boats over coral boulders that've been covered by carpet. Kayaking is a future for this park. But the sand is fine and fun.

  • 5/5 Casey G. 3 years ago on Google
Oh it's so awesome....beautiful and the sand is so soft . Although we played in the water only they do have buoys that block the area so you are aware of where the 20ft drop off is for the water skiing and other activities on the left side. Right side has kayak rental area and farther right is the blow up water course ! Perfect for birthdays, adults, children, kayaking, water fun or just laying out in the sun with a book. Great place. 5$ parking.

Nice little beach. Great for kids to play. Next time when its open for season i will be trying their zip lining and obstacle course. Not a fan of all the sand nats but thats unavoidable. Very clean and nice park though. All my kids had a blast there.

We enjoy it here, when we don’t feel like going to Clearwater, this beach is great, the food trucks are very good, bathrooms are convenient. $5 to park, very good price. There are things to do, or you just catch some rays and relax. We love it, a better choice over Hudson beach if you want to stay local

  • 4/5 Zepu C. 1 year ago on Google
The sand is very beautiful. The beach is not very big. It is ideal for swimming with children because the limit is set before it gets too deep. It is very enjoyable to watch people doing water sports. An ideal place for water sports. parking is not a problem. It has adequate toilets and showers. It is very romantic and beautiful to visit at sunset and watch the sunset calmly.

Great place to hangout twitch the family. Obstacle course is great and fun. There's kayak rentals there and a line surfing right in the middle, that's huge. Shallow water to swim and play in. Plenty of area to go.

You would never know this place existed if you weren't looking for it! This entire complex is sweet! The blow up could have had more air because on the higher stations it didn't keep you up as expected. My daughter said the algae on the bottom could have been cleaned a bit but its still fun. Next time we will try the ski/board pull, im not sure what you call it. It does look fun. Also, the sand felt great in between the toes.

  • 5/5 Gage G. 3 years ago on Google
A great place to spend a couple hours. Being from MI I can't not not explain how much more I prefer Freshwater. Even though the water dosnt get super deep, at least not where you can swim, it just a nice place to hang out and enjoy the sun and sand.

  • 4/5 Kalva F. 3 years ago on Google
Nice little beach and lake. But I was unaware that the activities were for older kids only, little ones would feel left out.

  • 5/5 Margaret Jackson- Keller Williams R. 3 years ago on Google
So, we visited on the coldest day of the year so far (Those clouds though ☂💧!) and the water activities were closed (as expected!) We had chance to cycle around and check it out! Parking is $5 per car for the day, (or buy a seasonal pass) no exceptions and no idling. There is soft sandy beach around the lake, which is spring fed and on the site of a former limestone mine. Other than the parking lot, which is well sized, there are a couple of shower/bathroom areas and a concession area, and the water activities. Passes for these are sold online, so you can plan and budget ahead. We will definitely be back! Note- NO PETS allowed, so leave the furry guys home!
