While it’s a relatively nice campground (well maintained and clean) the location is very close to the highway so it was very loud (sirens constantly) and exiting the property was always difficult due to constant heavy traffic. The campsites are very small and hard to back in to and although there were probably 20 open campsites, they chose to put another camper directly across from us making it very difficult for us to pull out. Our biggest complaint was their refund policy and customer service. We had an unexpected change of plans and although we called immediately and explained the situation, and they refused to refund us 3 nights. And although the camp ground was nearly empty, they charged us a late check fee when we had a complication getting moved out. Bottom line, they want your money and don’t care if you ever return.

This is our 7th year staying at this KOA...it is our absolute favorite experience at a KOA. The staff are always so friendly, fun and helpful. They go above and beyond to help make our experience the best. Everything is immaculate, the grounds, pool, and bathrooms. It is a very family friendly place with lots of activities for the children and adults alike. This weekend it is full of families and children are riding bikes, playing at the playground, swimming. This location is close to beaches, great little towns, and all that Florida has to offer. We will continue to always stay here in this beautiful place with the best KOA staff ever!!❤❤

Honestly one of the best experiences Ive had at a KOA. My senior dog somehow got out of the cabin while we were napping. Not only did they keep him safe, they sent out a text to all campers saying that someone was 'missing an older white dog who was out enjoying this beautiful weather'. The text was so cute, my dog was walked by a staff member and they didn't make us feel bad about it. AMAZING & friendly staff. I couldn't love this place more if I tried. The cabins are almost as welcoming as the staff.

Beautiful campground very well maintained! Sites are a little tight for big rigs "44ft" and a Truck to fit in the site. We had to park in guest parking. However it's a beautiful park due to that. It would be great if they would expand parking for sites. The dog park was perfect! So many relaxing areas around the campground I highly recommend! The playground was tiny but the pool was so nice!!! Top of all the staff were ALL amazing!! Every encounter with staff was very friendly! They are welcoming and so very helpful! They always have some fun little evening planned and morning breakfast. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice campground to stay at.

There are good and bad things about this KOA Holiday site. First of all, the staff are excellent! They were friendly, attentive and truly seem to care about your stay there. The grounds are very tropical and very beautiful as well. The included breakfast and offered activities were nice options. A couple of things to keep in mind; The alleyways for the pull through sites are very narrow and make for a tough situation if your camper has any real length to it. The staff had us back in to be safe and we even saw an accident with one camper hitting another trying to get out of their spot on the narrow alley. Next, the KOA is on an 8 lane busy highway, and while convenient to tons of retail, makes for lots of road noise. Try to book a spot in the back if you can. Third, some of the spots are pretty small and ours prohibited us from using our awning since it was opening right into a tall bush and tree. Finally, the high speed internet, it was horrendous. They recently switched providers and the connection was very bad all week during our stay. That made it hard to get work done and hard to stream shows without frequent buffering. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision.

We recently stayed here and enjoyed it very much. I was super nervous after reading reviews about the spots being tight. We have a 41 ft fifth wheel with an 8 foot porch we like to open off the back and it was just fine for us. Everything is very well maintained and staff was super friendly. The pool was nice and they have a playground for kids which is a bonus if you have kiddos.

Very nice campground. Very well maintained all amenities are excellent. Landscaping is very nice and kudos to the lady that was out there everyday working hard to keep it that way. Very quiet, we were about midway through the park and couldn’t really hear the highway too bad. My only negatives: sites can be very difficult to get into if you have a larger rig and the adjacent sites are occupied. Obviously the footprint of this place isn’t going to change so just a heads up to put your patient pants on when you get there. We are in the area for 3 months on a travel nurse assignment and wanted to stay here the whole time, however, beware of the prices. As of Nov 1 they are $96/night for the lowest grade site. Yikes!!! Happy for them if they can get it. This place is a jewel. Make your prices so it’s a destination not just a stop along the way!!

THE BEST KOA WE HAVE STAYED AT THUS FAR! So clean, beautifully maintained. You can see the hard work they put in to keep it this way. Full hookups, 2.50 for a load of laundry, pool, playground, and cozy spots that give a rainforest vibe. DAVE, Dave is awesome! Thanks for everything, Dave. They allow dogs, with no breed restrictions. We took our dogs to the Honeymoon Dog Beach! The campsite also offered a dog rinsing station 😎 Check out the Greek settlement in Tarpon. So cool, and the best Greek food. I 100/100 recommend this KOA and we are 100% staying again.

We camped this past weekend for a baseball tournament. What was meant to be just somewhere to stay quickly turned into one of our new favorite spots. I will start with the camping spots-they are all a good size and well maintained. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Throughout the day you would see the staff around the property always staying busy but would take a minute to ask how you are, how is your stay going or simply smile and say hello. ALL of the common areas were immaculate. I normally do not use the shower houses but theirs had large clean showers and was air conditioned. Lastly, this weekend was packed with events for all ages. I have never stayed at a KOA like this one and can’t wait to return.

We just left this Campground, and WOW! This is one of the nicest KOA we have been to! Staff was so friendly and helpful! The pool was very pleasant, the chairs at the pool were so very comfortable, I probably could have slept in one. The bathrooms and laundry area were some of the cleanest I have ever seen at a campground. The complementary breakfast every morning from 8:30am-9:30am was a very nice touch as I have never been to a campground that has offered this! And the best part is the text you and let you know what is on the menu! They also have daily activities that they also keep you informed though text messaging. My parents stayed in a cabin which was beautiful and super clean! The boardwalk to the cabin was also beautiful! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! If we come to the area again, we definitely will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. It's convenient to so many places. They have a pool and activities. It's small but has enough amenities to keep you busy. The staff is outstanding; especially Dan. He is certainly an asset to the park.

Nice campground, very clean, good sites. Staff is wonderful. Has activities and breakfast. Okay to sightseeing you do have to do a lot of u-turns though. Only complaint is you are right off boulevard and hear all the street traffic. A little pricey compared to other KOA’s I’ve stayed at In Florida. Overall a decent campground.

This was our Christmas break spot for 4 nights. With all of the turning locations on U.S. 19, we actually picked the wrong one, and had to make back- to- back U-turns. Luckily it happened at a convenient time of the day with low traffic around. Inside of the campground, the roadway was legit single lane, not enough room to pass. Most spots had adequate space, ours was a little tight, but still enough. There wasn't trash pickup, so you had to take it to the dumpster. We were in the 400s, which was farther back away from the roadway and relatively quiet. With the traffic and sirens I wouldn't have wanted to be any closer to 19. Our spot was level, but several others were not. I didn't see a hot tub, but the pool was open. The water was a little cool for my taste, but several kids used it daily. The grounds were well maintained. All in all, not a bad experience.

We recently stayed here with our converted cargo trailer, and it was a great stay! The campground was clean and facilities well maintained. We don't have a restroom in our camper, so we used the bathroom and showers on site. They were cleaned daily and even had a lock code. They had daily events, but since we were busy sightseeing we didn't get to attend any. The playground was small but clean. Check in process was easy, and they helped accomodate the fact we needed to be able to walk to restrooms but also had a young child so needed further space from highway. We used a white noise machine in our camper, so the road noise didn't bother us much. Traffic is busy on road in front, but we just waited and we were able to easily pull out each time. They had a staff member guide us to our spot, and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend! Was about 45 minute drive to zoo area and 30 minutes to Honeymoon Island State Park. Will definitely be back!

Things to know: -You have to rent a fire ring for $5 per day. We understand this allows for nice upkeep of the grounds but when we went to reserve one there were none available. -There are SEVERAL campers parked for extended stays we assume. And with that, campers just sit. With no one there. And we were expected to move our camper with one day left of our stay. So if campers are just sitting with no one there, why should we have to wait for a fire ring or even move our camper? -Clean area and nice showers. -Friendly neighborhood (since it seems more like a community rather than a campground). -You cannot set off any boom-booms. So if you buy the very small package of sparklers and such, it’s a no go.

I stayed in the Flora cabin. The staff at this KOA are so nice and helpful! Best KOA I’ve ever been to. This is such a quiet retreat, there weren’t any loud campers at night either. It was a great choice to stay here.

Awesome! is the only word for this KOA. The staff is very friendly. They have a variety of events nightly from movies to bingo. The grounds are well maintained and they are always working to keep it that way. The staff goes out if their way to help with anything you need. They even pickup and deliver the propane tanks to you space after fill-up. Thanks to John for his help. We are so impressed that we already booked our stay for 2024.

Nice camp ground. Friendly people. Beautiful facilities. Easy drive to tarpon, clearwater and honeymoon island. It is right on the highway so it is easy to find and get to. There is some traffic noise but not too bad. I don't know how they could avoid that because it is a pretty busy area of florida.

Great KOA, nice heated pool, spots are good sized and shaded with trees amd well maintained. Didn't have very many issues with bugs either. Everyone was very friendly. Only suggestions would be the single dog park was pretty small and only had 4 washers and 3 working dryers, could have used a few more, were almost always full. One of the better KOA's we've stayed at!

I’ve stayed at a lot of campgrounds and Rv parks and this by far is one of the best. Not only clean there staff is some of the nicest people I’ve ever met and thanks to Patricia, Ron, and any of the landscaping crew that I have not mentioned I’m sorry we did not get your names. But they are amazing making the KOA seriously a beautiful stay for me and my family we will be back for sure. This KOA is very comforting and I rarely do reviews. PS sorry fort desk crew I didn’t get all of your names but Jessica thank you for all your Tetris playing with our campsite😉 love the Dixon family

Very nicely maintained & landscaped campground. Centrally located in Palm Harbor that’s a 30 minute drive to most locations nearby. Plenty of restaurant choices located nearby off Hwy 19. Nice deep pool. Nice and quiet spot with plenty of pretty trees surrounding the premises. My only complaint is the location choice for the utility hookups. They are too far near the center of the sight, and the sewer pipe connection is elevated causing more problems for drainage over such a long run. Hook-ups should be located near the rear of the sites so that when you’re outside your camper, you’re not staring at your neighbors sewer pipe, and watching them dump it. That’s my only complaint. Other then that, this is a nice campground to stay at.

Old reviews are useless as this KOA surpassed our expectations and prior “outdated reviews”. Very well manicured & cared for. The owners passion clearly reflects through their quality staff. We’ve added this place to our re-visit list for sure! Now after reading this review, don’t plug the place up where we can’t get a spot!! 🙃😂 Nika & her staff as well as Cathy & Frank were a pleasure to associate with ❤️❤️ Thank you and see you soon!! the place is beautiful nice and comfortable I like that It haves sewer line connection I've been in other places and I have had to use a portable tank which is not bad either the importance is to have the service employees were helpful very kind only one small detail the neighbors that have their pets should have their leash a little shorter because the dogs will get underneath other people's campers and do their thing and the smell is everywhere and is not being picked up by the Pet's owner I know this is something that can be addressed over all everything beautiful.

U MUST READ!!!I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent experience my family and I had at Koa campground. the owner called us, stating that he couldn't accommodate us any longer and required us to move. Regrettably, I was in a meeting in Tampa at the time, and my wife was informed by the owner that we had to vacate the site by 1 o'clock if we couldn't move our mobile home. Despite my ongoing meeting, I had to leave abruptly because it seemed the owner was unwilling to assist us properly. My wife and my two-year-old were in our camper, and this gentleman literally told her to leave there is something wrong with that man and I strongly suggest you never stay there and KOA should get rid of him as an odor. He is a very dangerous man.!!

  • 2/5 David E. 11 months ago on Google
Right on the main strip of Tarpon Springs so even in the rear constantly sirens, loud trucks and cars. Rains and everyone's lots were at least 3 inches under water. Coquita shells instead of Gravel and it follows you inside. Groups reserve entire place certain times of the year and staff doesn't tell you when you make your reservation which costs as much as a 4 star hotel but in the heat and humidity. Limited lots if you have a motorhome with a toad. People look down on dog people. Clientele are quick to call the front desk and complain frivoulously instead of being polite. Shower house, laundry, and pool are a distance and it's hotter inside then out. It cost us over $900 to stay here from Virginia to see family. Wifi is sketchy, one way in other way out. It's convenient to everything if you want to be in the middle of the city but RVing is supposed to be about relaxing, friendly atmosphere, and not disrespect to neighbors. We didn't renew our Koa membership after this being the second we visited. Not warm and accepting rather monetary and corporate

The campground is a gorgeous one. The landscape is the best part, all the greenery, the plants, the trees, the front area where the games, the firepit, and the Pavilion are located. The staff is so cordial, helpful and happy. When you talk to them you can tell they are happy to be working there. All the activities that they have, it makes it so hard to leave the campground. There is so much to do. It's always such a fun time!

Really enjoyed our stay here at Clearwater/ Lake Tarpon Springs KOA Holiday❤ i posted alot of pics, as you can see its so nice! The staff here are helpful and friendly! Mary at the front desk is great and Dave is always around for whatever you may need. Patrice does a great job with all the landscaping. The location is the best! It is mins away from anything you need!! The only one complaint, we're in here pretty tight! Sites are very narrow. Up close and personal! But no problem! We made some wonderful friends here and recommend this KOA! Happy Camping!

This campground is one of the best in the area. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the entire park is immaculately clean at all times. Their sites have easy access and great hook up locations for any type of RV. Tons of amenities for kids and adults from the pool to the ping-pong table to cornhole to tetherball - the list goes on and on. On top of that they are also a pet friendly campground with a very nicely maintain off leash area for your furry family members. They also always have organized activities going on to help you connect with your fellow campers. Highly recommend stopping in and checking them out!

Hard to say enough good about this park… great campsites, attentive staff, lots of trees and flowers. Came in planning to stay two nights, extended to five. Enjoy the pool, the cool (lots of trees), and all of the neat things in Tarpon Springs, Saint Petersburg, and Tampa. Great water pressure, great cable, clean/spacious showers, but most importantly, staff who go out of their way to make sure everything is good. We will definitely be back.

One of the best mentions of this resort - especially when traveling with a 9 y/o girl, is their gift shop. Many fun finds for sure. We spent a week here and enjoyed every minute. Traveling and towing with a Class A, we are just big. Our GPS told us to go left once we pulled in and it was close, but we didn’t take out the mailbox. 🙊 Once you turn in, despite what GPS says, go right! There is a parking area. With regard to our lot, we were a little closer to the highway initially, but we switched lots halfway through our stay and absolutely loved our second site tucked way back away from the highway with a patio and furniture. We played bingo and our family won like five rounds. It’s really hard to complain about this place! Highly recommend having learned the ropes!

Sites are small, campground is small, playground is not for kids over 4 - hard to get our camper in the site. Wouldn't stay again for the reasoning of it being small/size of sites, value for the money spent, noisy location. I felt disappointed when leaving on what we got vs what we paid for **edit in response to owner** We stayed right next to a site with a patio, site was no larger, just had a patio instead of gravel. And I'm not sure what review said sites were small (previous KOA in Sugarloaf the sites were not small, the campground was, just like this one) but I review lots of places I stay/go for years now so people know the truth previous to making a decision. Your response sounds hasty as well as immature, which makes me feel exactly like I did before, wouldn't stay again with the addition of wouldn't recommend either. It took us an hour to get a 35ft camper into our site only for it to be completely lop-sided anyways because the site was very uneven, the big rig next to us on the paved site was crammed in there as well. No I do not feel like it was worth $100+/night to stay there. This was no more than a road side campground, resort it a far cry from the truth.. At least your staff was kinder than you

This KOA is absolutely WONDERFUL! That's because the people there really care about the campers and also the facilities and activities. They provide so much more than other KOA's- so many activities, and complimentary breakfast, and helpful employees. The facilities are spotless, too. It's located centrally to many fun towns, too. We spent 2 great days in Denedin with our 2 dogs. Fortunately, there are many parking lots, and our RV is an easy-to-park 22-footer. You could also contact a ride share service. We will definitely be back to this lovely KOA!

Nice clean place! Staff is super helpful! I only have one small complaint, it's very hot in the restrooms. But we had a really good time!

Perhaps for RVing this place is wonderful but unless you want roach infested cabins and want to wake up at 3 am with one crawling on you, I would highly discourage you from booking here. It is literally 4:22am and my husband and I just left after me waking up to the feeling of a roach on my chest and then tossing it to the floor where we were able to confirm my worst nightmare after turning on the light. We saw an additional one near the night stand and on the ceiling. Completely disgusting.

Nice people, Great park and location! Very well maintained, the docks are 7 minutes away and beaches are 20! The road it's on is a racetrack tho so bring the lead foot. 🏁🌞 🌴 🤙

Very nice KOA in the Clearwater area. Well-kept, clean grounds, friendly staff, and nice sites. It is tight for large rigs, but definitely doable. I have a 43-fifth wheel and maneuvered it. It is expensive, but I guess that is too be expected during the winter months in FL.

Wish I could give this place more stars because it's really nicely maintained and managed. Unfortunately our site was about 100 feet from Hwy19 which is 8 lanes of 55 mph havoc. I only slept from total exhaustion, but was awaken multiple times each night from modified pipes of motorcycles, cars, and the sound of semi trucks. If you are luck, you might get a site in the back area of KOA.

Do not waste your precious time staying at this poorly run establishment. One of the WORST CAMPGROUNDS IN THE COUNTRY. Starting with the rude, ignorant Manager that will speak to you in a disrespectful manner. He is not capable of accommodating guests even if he wanted too. Also it is located on an eight lane highway with nonstop heavy traffic right across from a strip club. KOA should look into this because they are poorly representing their brand. Do not bother responding back, use the time wisely and learn how to use a computer and speak to someone in a respectful manner.
