My lovely Mother's Birthday was today and this where she wanted to eat today. It was my first time and was a very nice atmosphere and the owner was very nice and the staff. The food was excellent 😊 I will return again. Thank you Osaka!!

Osaka used to be fantastic. Now If you dine in any time after 6:30pm, you’re treated as if you’re a HUGE inconvenience to the staff. It honestly seems like they’re only concerned about how early can they close on a nightly basis - with the most recent sign posted on the door proving my point.. I arrived at 7:10pm. Restaurant is supposed to close at 9pm.

Showed up at 7:40 p.m. greeted at the door seated then left abandoned. Had to flag down a server to get water. Didn't seem like they were too concerned about taking any of our orders. Left without being served going to go down the road to someplace else. That was our first experience now reading the reviews we understand why. Since we did not stay around for the food we cannot comment on their cuisine.

I have been going to the Auburndale Osaka since they opened. I used to eat there on weekly basis and it was amazing. Unfortunately my recent experiences there have been less than stellar. We usually have had service problems as in servers not checking on us or refilling our drinks even when we were the only table in the restaurant at the time. Tonight we went for dinner and the service was acceptable but the food was not up to par. The chef seemed to be rushing which caused multiple issues with the taste/quality of the food. The rice did not have the usual flavor and sections of the rice were crunchy. He ended charring my shrimp which gave them a burnt taste. While plating rice for my wife he wasn't paying attention and threw in a piece of uncooked chicken which luckily she found before eating. I really loved this place but I can no longer recommend it to anyone unless changes are made and the quality returns.

Food was good and staff was friendly. They were able to accommodate 9 of us on a Saturday night with no wait. However, I feel that customers go to Hibachi restaurants for the show. There was no excitement, no cracking eggs with spatulas or making an onion volcano. There was no tossing food for people to catch. The cook just put his head down and cooked the food, which was delicious. I hope they make some changes in order to keep up with similar restaurants that had 75 minute waits tonight.

I had been visiting the one in Kissimmee for over 18 years and it was always amazing. Since they closed we have been craving their food and decided to travel all the way to the only location that still open. It was amazing to see my favorite sever and cook. Always happy with the food flavor and the service as always great. I 100% will always recommend this place. Never close I always need me some Osaka.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch for my grandsons birthday. The service was on point and very friendly, even with the extra care needed for the cake. Our chef was excellent. He didn't do any tricks, but prepared a lovely, delicious, nicely priced meal. Thank you Osakas for offering lunch prices on Sunday!!

Food was absolutely terrible! Rice was burnt veggies were burnt. Definitely the worst experience. Wife and daughter couldn’t eat their food cause how much soy sauce was used. No garlic butter no teriyaki sauce was used to cook. Been to a lot of hibachi restaurants and this is a sad excuse for one. Sushi was terrible. If I could give it a zero star I would. Absolutely a waste.

The portion size of rice put on plate is more than enough for a family of 4. I watched the cook burn the little boy's hand with the rice. The flavors leave alot to be desired. Chicken teriyaki I ordered tasted like pure salt, and I don't use soy sauce or extra salt. I expected it to be better than that, especially when you pay $100.00 for 3 people. Not worth the money.

Stoped in for Dinner on this Friday afternoon , It was there busy time .We was seated not long after arriving. The restaurant was clean and for most part folks was friendly .The only thing was ,none of the cooks did any of the fun stuff , No egg tricks No onion valcano ,No tricks what so ever ..Thats what makes coming here entertaining. This was our first time eating here .The food was good , just wish the cooks would put more life into what there doing .Would we come back ya maybe .

Holy cross contamination nightmare. This place is absolutely disgusting. The chef who doesn't speak at all literally throws everything on the grill at the same time. Vegetables touching raw chicken and then put on your plate. The health department seriously needs to come in here and see this disgusting place. The floor is sticky, the tables are sticky. Just look at the hanging light right at the front desk, an inch thick of dust on it.

We went to celebrate our anniversary. It is family style so you get to meet new people. The food is cooked in front of you. There were lots of choices, and it was delicious !

Food was delicious. We both had the Hibachi, Steak and Teriyaki Chicken. Great flavor. Love the veggies, Squash, Zucchini with Onions.. Been coming here for years and its pretty much the same with Atmosphere and Service. Its satisfactory, but clean.

When it comes to the hibachi, I prefer them to the others in the area. Other places all taste the same. Very bland in my opinion. I like my food to have flavor and I've rarely been disappointed here. Only 2 things I have to complain about is we went for lunch and I guess they don't have a sushi chef during lunch hours? and that they closed the Winter Haven location so we don't get to go as often now. Used to go 2-3 times a month, now I'm lucky to go twice in a year.

This was my first time going in over 2 years. To start they are using the same faded plastic bowls and plates. I figured I would still give them a try because I remembered how good the food was. Well I wasn't disappointed with the food. The only issues were the ginger salad dressing was a little watery. And the star of the show (yum yum sauce) had too much mayo in it. Even these things were still edible. I would just say Osaka, stop being so cheap and get new dishes. You might see your crowds pick up again.

Very basic hibachi. The only seasoning used was soy sauce. I asked for garlic and salt /pepper to be added to the fried rice and was told "we don't do that." My pre chopped medium rare filet was cooked through with no visible pink, and again nothing but soy sauce for flavor. Also, don't expect any finesse or show. No volcano, egg "roll" or choo Choo train dispite there being small children at the table. The best I can say is I didn't have to cook.

Sticky eating counter almost like the varnish was breaking down because wiping it didn't help at all. Overly salty and no fanfare display of cooking the food. The eggs came already broken and in the bowl, so pretty much watched them throw everything on the grill to cook. Not what you expect from a typical hibachi.

The food is delicious and well priced. The cook was good and made some jokes but no flare like in other steakhouses. I would come back for sure but probably not for special occasions or if it's out of the way.

My shrimp and scallops were over cooked. They weren't very busy so I don't know why our waitress wasn't more attentive. Vegetables were cooked to my speciation. Their hot saki is amazing. Will I go back? Maybe, to give them another chance.

My first time going and I thought it was going to be totally different than what it was. The soup, salad, and water were the only good things. I had the chicken and filet Mignon. The chicken was burnt on the outside and rubbery inside. The filet mignon was good till it cooled off and it was hard and super dry. The rice had hard pieces. We also ordered salmon and shrimp. Got 4 shrimp and half the size of a regular salmon filet. Both the shrimp and salmon were over cooked. Literally every hibachi place I’ve been to they will at least do a fire trick. There was no entertainment or interaction. We went hoping for a wonderful meal and was highly disappointed.

I couldn't wait to come to Osaka's bc we missed them since the Kissimmee restaurant has closed. Unfortunately, this visit wasn't like before. We had four people at our station and then the cook had six to go boxes he was working on. The to go boxes got most of the attention as our rice was done and sitting on our plates waiting for the cook to complete our meals. Instead he was more worried about completing the to go orders than how cold our rice was getting. One at a time the food entered our plate while the cook kept preparing the to go orders. I wanted to say stop and just do those or do ours, but don't do both, i want my food warm. The to go orders got most of the rice and veggies while our plates got what was left. I barely had a spatula of rice and maybe a half a spatula of veggies. We ordered sushi as well, but the whole time we were waiting for our meal the sushi never came. Finally, after we asked about our sushi the rolls then came out one by one as well. When we were leaving they asked if we got all our rolls. Shouldn't they know and have made sure prior to us walking out the door. Someone needs to manage this place bc it seemed nobody knew much or could read the frustration on our faces from waiting for the cook to focus on our meals or when we were eating cold food. Hopefully, things get better bc we really loved Osaka's.

They were short staffed so the owner cooked our meal, she was burning the food and we told her, but she continued and put it on our plates we tasted it and told her it was burnt, she walked away, we told our waitress and the waitress came back and said she talked to her but she said nothing in return, when we went to pay, almost 200.00 the owner came by we told her to go look we couldn't eat our burnt food and she walked away. Sad I've been eating there for 25 plus years, never again 😢

Food was good but a little scorched, told server, who was super nice but said she has been telling the cook for 3 years and he doesn't listen. It was still good, just on the verge of being scorched in parts. (Previous customer said the same thing). Owners, please ask him to turn it down just a bit.
