Would not recommend using this dealership. Our Salesman Zach was nice but beyond that I would not return or recommend anyone go there. We bought a Lincoln Navigator $64k+. They said the car was detailed however I do not believe they actually detailed this (how do you not detail a $60k+ car?)- we got home to find dried animal urine in the carpet and tracks between the seats and lots of dirt and animal hair. They tried to mask the urine smell with a very strong scented air freshener. Very poor attention to detail on simple things, which makes me wonder what else they may have overlooked. They didn’t change the oil (something simple I would think they would do?). We got home and found it to have a busted reflector light and scratched rim (perhaps why he was pressuring us so much to purchase an extended warranty on the rims?) which I don’t remember seeing when we were looking over the vehicle. We’re taking it to the Lincoln dealership for a thorough check and service since it doesn’t seem that we can trust that they did any maintenance or review of the vehicle. It may seem like a good deal but I would look for a different dealership. They charge a $1000 dealer fee and a Coast Mazda Advantage fee of about $3k even if you don’t want the advantage coverage, they won’t take it off. Just another way to make money. So whatever advertised price you see, add another 4K before the other fees. Aside from our salesman, it’s your typical sleezy dealership experience. Our finance persons entire demeanor changed when we didn’t want to purchase his extended warranty. I wish we would have driven farther and paid a little more for a better experience and a purchase I feel I could trust and be confident with. Edited to add: We brought the vehicle to Lincoln. The backup camera that Coast Mazda told us they replaced was never replaced. Lincoln had to order the camera to be replaced. Coast also did not complete the 20k mile service that was overdue on the vehicle. Coast was dishonest and flat out lied about what they did with this vehicle before listing it for sale. I would not trust buying a vehicle from this dealership.

I brought my vehicle in for a noise. Dan In service gave me A loaner and kept me up to date. They sent me a video showing the issue and it showed all recommendations. Dan was fantastic and this was the best service experience thus far.

My service experience with this Mazda dealership has been a terrible experience to say the least. I purchased my Mazda CX-9 at a dealership other than Mazda and so I brought my car there for maintenance. It was found that I had a service bulletin issue on my car and a cylinder caused leaking of coolant. The dealership (not Mazda) fixed my car under warranty however there was another issue regarding emissions I was told that it needed to go to the Mazda dealership for the factory warranty. While my car was at Mazda port Richey they informed me that they cannot honor the warranty to fix this issue. After a lot of back and forth of trying to find out why it was explained to me by Dan that basically because another person worked on it previously it’s a separate issue not covered by warranty and would be $3000 to fix. At this time they also told me that my electronic radio touch screen was out and would eventually need to be replaced at $2200. When I went to pick my car up after it only being with the Mazda dealership for 2 days my touch screen dash was damaged. Both my service advisor and manager told me the heat does this to these cars although it has no issues prior to it being there. And coincidentally it is part of the report that will need fixed. It also looks more like small cracks rather than de-lamination. After picking up my vehicle and working up the chain at previous dealership that I bought vehicle from (not Mazda) I was informed that somehow my car had been blacklisted from PR Mazda to every Mazda dealership in the state of Florida. This is so insane to me that this is how they handle something and not once could it be explained to me in a logical way as the customer. This has been a stressful experience and makes me not want to purchase Mazdas for this reason in the future. I would not have your car serviced here.

I did extensive research prior to choosing Coast (I live 30 miles away but felt this dealership was a ‘good fit’ for my needs and worth the drive.) I was greeted by Ashley, who greeted me with a smile and immediately put me at ease. She absolutely made my car-buying experience at Coast Mazda exceptional. To say she is knowledgeable is an understatement. She answered all of my questions effortlessly. She was incredibly patient. While I went in knowing what I wanted, I still managed to have a moment of indecision and started waffling. Ashley never judged, never rushed me. She let me process in my own way, in my own time. She listened. Ashley is not your ‘typical’ salesperson. She was kind and confident. I bought my car feeling she was genuinely happy for ME, not that she had sold a car. I can’t sing her praises enough and couldn’t be happier that she was my salesperson. She ensured I was 100% satisfied with my decision without any pressure. She was one of the kindest salespeople I have ever dealt with and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. The entire team went above and beyond to assist in my purchase, and I drove away in my new vehicle, knowing I made a sound choice.

Had a great purchasing experience 1/4/23 due to Chris and the team! I was in and out quickly while also saving money. There is a surplus of dealers in Tampa Bay and I can’t recommend Coast Mazda enough. Thanks again guys!

This body shop kept my vehicle for 8 months then shipped it back to me unfinished. Airbag hanging out the steering wheel, hood put on crooked, coolant leaking all over radiator with big ginormous hole, air vents all hangout out plus many other things. It was so bad the insurance company decided to go ahead and finally total the vehicle after 8 months of waiting because this body shop messed up so bad and charged double the amount they originally quoted me. Not only was my vehicle not repaired correctly the customer service was the worst. I never could get ahold of anyone or an updated about my vehicle. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BODY SHOP!

After many months of research I decided to go with Mazda. My first visit to Coast Mazda went very well. There I met Carlos Rosa (financing), who was very informative, but not too pushy. A few days later my wife and I returned and were introduced to Joel Jaca, a salesman. He was very nice to deal with and again, low pressure. We were able to come to a price that we were happy with in a reasonable amount of time. Not like some dealers who keep you there for 7 or 8 hours. A very good experience overall. I would easily recommend Coast Mazda.

Over the years I have purchased several cars, 8 within the past 8 years for myself and my family. Sometimes you feel the car sales reps pounce on you as soon as you step out of your vehicle. As soon as you make purchase they disappear. JAMES BYRD is different. He discloses everything. He is honest, trustworthy and will do more for you even after the sale to make sure you're satisfied with the transaction. If you need a Go-To person, see JAMES BYRD. Without a doubt, I recommend him and feel confident that you will be happy that you chose him to assist you. He'll make it right.

Mr. James Byrd was the salesperson that answered all of our questions and assisted in our purchase of our new Mazda CX-5. He was nothing short of fabulous! He showed us all of the features of the new vehicle and how they worked. When I had a question, no matter how dumb it seemed, he answered it completely and professionally. He was not a “high pressure” salesman. We met with salespeople from other dealerships. Most were extremely pushy and made the sales process very uncomfortable. They were so pushy that they never were as thorough in describing the features of their vehicle and answering all of our questions as Mr Byrd was. In the end, after seeing similar vehicles at other dealerships like Honda etc. we decided that the CX5 was our vehicle of choice. Mr. Byrd’s professionalisms, knowledge of the vehicle and being so pleasant to deal with made the transaction a pleasure. I was happy to be able to give the business to Mr Byrd. I really didn’t want to give it to one of the “pushy/ unfriendly “ salespeople at one of the other dealerships. I would certainly recommend the Mazda CX-5 to anyone looking to purchase such a vehicle. I would also tell them to go to Ed Morse Autoplaza in Port Richey and to ask to deal with Mr. Byrd. He is “The Best” !!

We always joke in our family that car dealers are fed bloody raw meat in their training and perhaps it is true for most.. I, personally, consider car purchase the most overwhelming process of all.. but working with James Byrd and guys at Ed Morse was by far the best experience so far. James is such a great, honest, dedicated, and hard-working guy and have made this process as easy as possible. I changed my mind about the cars 3x and he persisted throughout it, never saying a word and just going with a flow. He has a customer for life, that is for sure. Not to mention that our new Mazda CX 5 is such a sweet ride! I would highly recommend James Byrd!

I have had an opportunity to work with James Byrd on the purchase of my new car and I can only say that he has a customer for life. He is truly one of the rare ones. The detail, attention, and personal investment that he displayed is different than any other dealer I’ve seen so far. I will certainly be back for next purchase.

I just leased my first Mazda after being a long time Kia driver. The difference in cars and service is undeniable. The experience from test drive thru finance was quick and easy. The salesman James Byrd was great. He was helpful and personable and made sure we were taken care of, even reaching out afterwards to make sure there were no issues, questions, etc.The Manager on duty was very friendly and helpful as well and offered to look over my prior lease paperwork, which was above and beyond. There was ZERO good cop/bad cop mentality like I had experienced firsthand at other dealerships. My parents are long time Mazda owners and now I see why. I left there feeling unstressed and happy with the car and whole experience. That’s the first time I can say that after a car leasing or buying event! Thank you to James Byrd and everyone at Ed Morse for a smooth transaction during otherwise stressful times.

Was a hectic experience overall and will most likely never go back. They just want to rush you to sign papers and not focus on the needs of the customers. They just want to sell cars and not provide good customer service. There’s no cool down period so after trading vehicles that’s it. Even if it’s a couple hours, you can’t undo the deal. This should be changed and not really a complaint on Mazda but I wish I could have changed my mind on the sale. They sold my mom and I 2 suv type of vehicles (cx30 and cx5) and no one thought to say, are you sure you want 2 vehicles about the same? So they had me quickly trade the cx5 for Mazda 3, a car for my mom because she couldn’t trade hers in for some reason. So I’m driving cx30 and my mom is driving mazda3 even though each vehicle is registered in different names because they can’t change it. Also, car was damaged when I bought it and had to use a loaner vehicle to get to work while they fixed it and they made my mom and I feel like we did it. No, we did not. Disappointed it wasn’t smooth experience

Avoid! Definite stealer-ship. Went to several dealerships to get an appraisal on my vehicle (Which is a Mazda). Coast Mazda was the worst low ball by several THOUSANDS of dollars. Shamelessly low offer which I could not even take seriously, other than as an insult. I also had to listen to somebody else who they tried to take advantage of on a new lease with a ridiculously bad offer which they had to haggle back and forth on forever. Save your time buying or selling, and just go anywhere else.

Ed Morse Mazda Port Richey. Today I pull in to the Ed Morse Mazda Port Richey In Florida Mazda dealers ship. To get my 2020 Mazda6 sport oil change because I have been in Florida helping the health care worker that have been working short handed I drove from Houston Texas about 4 weeks ago. I did not know anything about some program that Mazda has going on offering free oil change and to Vacuum and clean out your car . This woman named Catherine Metzkes was the first person I had contact with from the dealership. She asks me how can I help you. I explained that I am on my way back to Houston that I was here in Florida helping hospital that needed help with the COVID-19. She tell that she had heard this from others trying out get free oil change and free vacuum cleaning . I information her that I had no idea what she was talking about that I own a Mazda and only use Mazda to preform and work on my car because it is still under warranty and I do not want to do anything that could cause me to void my warranty. That I was not looking for anything for free . She then in form me that she would need to see some form of proof that I worked in the medical field? I ask her to have my oil changed and a oil filter changed And my air filter changed. I told her that I did not want anything for free that I do not know anything about any so called free oil change for health care workers. She was so rude and unprofessional. That I got in my car and just drove back to Houston to dealership that I got my car from in Houston Jeff Haas Mazda 16711 Katy frwy Tx 77094 .I still had some miles left before I really needed to change my oil but I felt that I had been driving in Florida just short stop and go trips to the little house the hospital had set up for people that came to help . I had never even been treating this was by a person that worked in the service department. I had been in Florida helping the people that had gotten sick. I was very tired and just wanted to get my oil changed before I headed back to Houston the next morning. I been ask to come back to Florida to relive some of the wonderful people that I got the pleasure of working with. I will never step foot on Ed Morse Mazda Port Richey in Florida. This was the thank you I got for helping the people in Florida. I will just remember the wonderful people that got well and was so thankful for my help . Please take my advice if you are looking for a new car or need one worked on GO SOME PLACES OUTHER THAN Ed Morse Mazda Port Richey. Florida

First time going to Ed Morse. Went to look at a CX-5. Sal was the salesman. So, Sal did not wear a mask the entire time we were with him (my wife and I both wore one). Never offered, never made an effort. Sales Manager came over - no mask either. They did a write up on the vehicle - which was listed on line at 21,900. When we got the offer, it was written at 22,900. They tried to add an extra thousand, then when caught feigned innocent mistake - like a dealer would make that one....$1000 service fee. Almost 450 bucks in other fees. This on top of the profit on the vehicle. I understand they need to make money - but they are greedy. Worse, poor Sal tried to claim they make nothing and only survive because of volume. They were losing money on this. This is why I hate shopping for vehicles. This kind of dealer - they aren't honest. They can't be trusted. Will not be buying a vehicle from them. Go elsewhere and look. There is a lot of cars out there and they need you more than you need them. Updated 1/6/21 - Ed Morse contacted us approximately 1 month after this review to discuss the comments. They stated they would be addressed. While I won't be back to use them, I do appreciate they took the time to get with us about the service we received. Upgrading to 3 stars because of that.

I had been car shopping for close to a year. Stopped by Coast Mazda just to see what they had on their lot as I had already stopped at several other car dealerships along the way. As we were looking around at the cars we were met by Ashley and told her we were only looking she told us to take our time and if she could help to come on inside . We decided we were interested in the Mazda CX-5 she showed us what was available and we test drove 2 cars We decided this was the car for us as we have owned Mazda in the past. We worked out the details and the entire experience was pleasant and there was never any pressure to purchase . Thumbs up to Ashley for her professional and personal attention to our needs. The entire experience was very easy and the entire team from the sales manager to finance officer made us feel very comfortable and we would highly recommend Coast Mazda Port Richey FL.

Been in the market for a new car well new to me for a few months now . I went to several dealers in the Port Richey area and I just felt the best when I went and saw Austin at Mazda. He truly cared about my needs. He knew I had a budget And he stuck to it while getting me the most features possible for my money. I definitely recommend asking for Austin when you come to the store.

Found a vehicle we were interested in online. Our salesman James Byrd was awesome. He processed all the paperwork in advance so all we had to do was show up and sign documents. He also drove to Tampa and picked us up at the airport and gave us great tips on places to visit during our vacation. Especially on some fantastic eateries that we never would have known about. Cant recommend the dealership or James enough. We would definitely buy there again.

Today I accompanied my dad Coast Mazda to purchase a vehicle. We Had a wonderful experience. I’m from Sarasota and the search for the vehicle started on the internet where I was in contact with Ms. Megan Meyer. She was great. She provided me with all pertinent information and answered all my questions and concerns. Upon arrival at the dealership, I came into contact with Daniel Hadsall who was the ultimate professional. He was very knowledgeable and took care of all our needs and was courteous and attentive. Mr. Brian Marinelli, assisted us with the completion of the sale. He too was very professional and did an outstanding job explaining all the pertinent information pertaining to the various warranties available and really looked out for our best interest. I can’t say enough about these 3 Coast Mazda employees. They are truly an asset to your organization. Thanks for a great car buying experience.

My 2017 Mazda CX-9 had multi warning lights so I sent it for diagnostics. Travis gave me price $175 for it, to which I agreed. Two days later I was notified via phone by Travis (service specialist) that the issues that my car has will be covered by emision coverage part of Mazda powertrain warranty. And I patiently waited to find out 10 days later (by Cathy - another service specialist; Travis - nowhere to be found) that Ed Morse Mazda of Port Richey was unable to find the reason why there are multi warning lights and she demanded additional $1500 for diagnostics because the master mechanic is very expensive. I reach out to Mazda HQ and was told to move my car to another dealer because the Ed Morse Mazda is not willing to cooperate with them. So Ed Morse Mazda held my car for two weeks and couldn't find what's wrong with it. Therefore, I moved my car to another dealer and my car was fixed for $747. Not me or any of my friends and family will do any business with this dealer. (they should hire some mechanics who actually know what they doing)

I have a disability called cerebral palsy and only have one vehicle that I'm able to drive. I'm am a VERY independent woman and if I could fix my car myself I would have but I can not because I use my hands to stand/ balance. I have a 2008 mazda cx-7, my car alarm randomly started going off. I figured it was the key fob battery so I got it changed at least 3 times all new batteries were put in within a period of time. Well at least two weeks ago it goes off and won't stop until I turn the car on. Okay so I got fed up and made an appointment at the Ed Morse Mazda Port Richey in Pasco County, FL. I met with a lady name Catherine Metzkes. She states that "she has to keep my car overnight due to figuring out what was going on with the alarm". I asked her if I could rent a car because I have portable hand controls but from them she states no that would be illegal for them to do that. I have never been deny before this situation happen. So she gets lyfe to pick me up. Mind you I told her I thought it was the fob and that it could be the car battery because it had corrosion around the terminals. So that in itself cost over $125. Two days later she calls me stating that there were multiple issues with my car that I need to get done. I said can you fix the first problem first then we'll do the next problem. She comes back with well the "computer said that my hood sensor was bad" and thats why the alarm is going off. They order the hood sensor and put it in and ends being $336. Okay so couple days later I get in my car and my car is completely immobilized. Call AAA they says it's because of the battery corrosion, which I thought I paid for to be cleaned. The manager of the service department Tim came to my house to clean the terminals and the alarm started going off. He says it's the fob as well okay. So Catherine finally order the fob on Friday. I texted her on Saturday and asked if they have received the fob. No reply. Yesterday she texts me stating that she has the parts and that she wants to schedule me to come in on Wednesday. I'm like oh hell no so I take my car back up there because during this whole time my horn fuse has been out because of how much it goes off. So I get there and it's a different person named Hector Collard I explained to him what has happened and said he could fix it himself. Not even 2 minutes later it was working like normal. God bless him I asked to talk to Tim and see how we can handle this situation because of discrimination. Also Catherine said I denied services which is false. Basically taking advantage of a disabled woman. Supposably gave me a discount which was only reduced $20 so this time I had to pay another $160. So if you are need of service work I would advise you not to go to there. Ed Morse Mazda Port Richey in Pasco County, FL hwy 19. Also, the only handicap stall in the bathroom was out of order.

I just love hector collazo. I won’t have my car serviced with anybody but him. He goes above and beyond being helpful. He should get a raise. I had wiper blades installed last minute and he went out his way to clean the windshield without even being asked to! That’s excellent customer service.

By far the worst experience ever. Purchased a Mazda CX9 and have had nothing but trouble with it is since that they will honor to be repaired..It started with no headlights when we first purchased teh car, we should have known then! Since then it has been a broken seat belt that they so called fixed but broke again within a week and passenger side door handle. Total rip off.

I had a dead battery and took it to Ed Morse Mazda the Saturday after Christmas. I only anticipated a new battery and didn't think it would take that long. They discovered that the drained battery was caused by a defective sensor that had caused a recent recall to be issued. They were closing early because of the holidays and couldnt promise the work could be done before closing. I was heading out of town on Sunday morning and they said they would do their best, but it could be Monday before they could get to it. Hector lined up a ride home, a ride back and they WERE able to get it completed. Thankful it was done in time and it didn't mess up my trip home. Cant thank Hector enough for his professionalism and honesty and the mechanics for getting it done in a short period of time. I have a new go-to shop for my Mazda!!

The salesman Daniel Hadsall was absolutely wonderful! He made us feel comfortable and at home in our visit. Here is Truly a scholar, funny and all around great person. I recommend asking for him if you want an honest experience from a dealer.

My husband & I just bought the 2022 CX-5 Mazda from Coast. This shop was a breath of fresh air after a week of car shopping all over florida & salesman pushing garbage on us. We got Dan “Buck” Hadsall as a sale associate, and he was ideal for our experience. From start to finish we are happy we made the trip up to Port Richey.

The best dealer experience we've had. No pressure, super friendly staff. No hidden fees. Straight forward honest pricing. Even in this crazy market! Didn't think a dealer like this existed anymore. Thanks for the great deal!

This was the first time I brought my Mazda 3 Sport to Coast Mazda. Had a great experience. I was told by my regualr repair shop that my PCM module was damaged and it had to be taken to a dealer. Replacing a Powertrain Control Module is a $1300 expenditure. Hector, from Coast Mazda performed a thorough diagnostic. They video the entire diagnostic check and then send you the video. Very cool! Bottom line was I had 2 blown fuses. What a relief. Their honesty and professionalism was excellent and I felt my car was in great hands with Hector. They will be my go to repair shop from now on.

Saleswoman was great. But this Dealership is a total scam . They added 3 extra protection plans to my loan that I adamantly said no too !! Finance department said this would lower my payment and I could cancel after 2 payments. Per reviews I’m not the only one . There will have to be a stop to this underhanded approach. PLEASE DONT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP ‼️
