It was clean, beautiful and affordable but what made it exceptional was the staff. They had the friendliest, most helpful employees I’ve ever dealt with at any hotel. The view was amazing. It’s a short 5 min drive to the beach and the little things like water and cake in the lobby were a nice bonus too. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very nice and well located. The rooms are very cozy although could use some maintenance. The door to our room was broken and didn’t close properly and the pool area has a constant smell of trash. But the reason I am giving this location one star is because of certain behaviors we encountered from the staff. As a Cuban American I have never believed to have dealt with any form of prejudice but during our stay we were approached in many occasions and asked what our room number was. I noticed not everyone was being asked the same question. In one occasion we were asked and a black couple near us were also asked for the room number but no one else was asked in the pool area. On the last day of our stay we wanted to order food and we’re asked a series of questions to ensure we were hotel guests prior to placing the order. This experience made my family and I very uncomfortable. Therefore we probably will not be returning to this location.

Our family of 5 loved this resort! It was family friendly and had a delicious hot breakfast included with our stay. The pool was beautiful with fresh towels provided and access to lunch and dinner at a tiki bar and restaurant. We loved being a short, 5 minute drive to the beach. The room was spacious and included a beautiful view of the bay with a gorgeous sunset. Our favorite was the fresh coffee in the lobby in the mornings and fresh, filtered water infused with fruit in the afternoons/evenings. We inhaled your fresh baked cookies too! We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful hotel at face value but there’s “cracks” as you get closer. The rooms have cheap flooring (laminate) that is all messed up from luggage wheels. There’s NO SAFES in the rooms….unbelievable. The bartender lady that works at the lobby bar looks angry and has no clue how to please customers. They won’t let you take your drink back to the room because they claim customers don’t return the glasses back to the bar. How about using housekeeping to return those glasses back?? The hallways are warm. You really need a hospitality company to review this hotel and put corrective actions fast. It has great potential but the staff is terrible and needs to go. I have 30+ years in hospitality and giving you my warning!

Beautiful and very clean resort. I just got back from my one week. Stay at the compass. I stayed with my husband and 16 year old daughter. We stayed in the king suite that had a corner view of the pool and harbor. Absolutely wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The on-site pool and restaurants were amazing! There were a few things with our room, that were a bit odd. We had a table in the room that the chairs could barely fit under. There’s no light over the table and it seems like the dresser should be in with the bed room, not out in another room, also, the shower does not offer much room for toiletries. But other than that it was perfect! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

We didn't stay the night. we had a day resort pass to utilize the pool. The only issue was the smell of trash that you could smell in the pool area. And lots of stuff floating in the pool like hair, bugs, and what looked like big pieces of skin. There was one guy taking orders and making drinks for half the day. Another lady did show up to take pool side orders. A band showed up and played for 3 hours.

My husband and I discovered an invaluable gem that exceeded our expectations in every way. Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound was a perfect place to spend holidays. Upon entering the lobby, we were greeted by the warm and friendly smiles of the hotel staff, who showcased remarkable professionalism and efficiency. Speaking of the room, -a haven of tranquility, comfort, and style. Everything was clean and pretty good decorated, spacious bathroom and good view. Definitely stay here. Our experience was 5 star from the moment we walked in. The rooms are extremely clean. The beds are very comfortable. And the breakfast buffet was delicious. We will absolutely be back.

We LOVE this hotel, and my family and I have stayed here a couple of times now, We can not say enough good stuff about this hotel. The manager is very nice and talks to those who are staying,always ask how everything is. Chris,at the front desk is just awesome,he is so friendly and helpful,makes conversation with the guest, and he's the best. Let's talk about their breakfast,it is delicious and so much to chose from,it is a real breakfast,eggs,bacon,sausage,fried potatoes,cheeses,fruit,cereal,OJ is delicious The only thing I will say is that the breakfast could be a little warmer. I will say that the rooms are so clean, The beds are amazingly comfortable, We had a room with a balcony facing the matina which I requested both times, We love it !!! We used the Compass Hotel for our wedding welcome party in March of 2023. Andrew was the Sales rep who was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the process of booking the space and choosing food and beverages for our guests. The food was great and drinks were delicious! We also decided to stay at the hotel the night before and after our wedding. There was a mixup with the suite and Andrew swiftly took care of the issue! We are so grateful as we and all of our guests had a great time and the hotel is very comfortable and in a perfect location. Would highly recommend for all of your wedding needs!

The four of us purchased a day pass at the Compass Hotel. This was absolutely a wonderful experience that I recommend to anyone wanting to get away for the day. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had complimentary ice water and pool side service. The pool was a perfect temperature and the area very clean and well maintained. We ordered drinks poolside and enjoyed lunch while sitting under a cabana. They had 4 or 5 cabana’s that are on a first come basis without a fee! The food was very good and the waitress was awesome!

My wife and I stayed a few nights at Compass in mid October. We found the hotel to be quite nice and will likely return. The positives: the marina view room upgrade is a must; the view is beautiful, and twice we were able to watch a couple of manatees lounging around in the marina. The breakfast buffet is quite good. The location is excellent. A couple of improvements we hope to find on our next visit: the bed linens were pretty rough, especially if you have acquired some sunburn. We had a snafu at check-in that took a little time to work out. During that time, the lady at the front desk was sympathetic and as helpful as she could be. The lady who was her manager apparently felt that being snarky, condescending and no help at all was her role. It was a very poor impression to begin our stay. Otherwise, nice place. I would recommend it.

The Hotel Name is Compass by Margaritaville Anna Marie Sound. It is a family oriented hotel with a beautiful view of the Marina & just a short drive to Anna Marie Island, Bradenton Beach & surrounding area. They have a huge pool , games to play, free breakfast & Free parking onsite. The room we booked had a balcony overlooking Anna Marie Sound & Marina. Gorgeous sunrise & sunsets from the hotel balcony & walkway. There is a restaurant located within walking distance close to the pool area that has delicious food & drinks. Staff is very friendly, accommodating! The price is very reasonable & for that reason as well, we stay several times a year here. Would Highly Recommend!

Great hotel! - only missing one thing. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Chill marine atmosphere, clean, and the rooms have a good view. Service was friendly. Our only complaint is the balcony. There’s nothing separating you from the balcony next to you which was a bit awkward. People could see into our room from their balcony. But these are just small complaints, it was a great stay and we enjoyed ourselves!

I would say this is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in its Price-bracket. Ive never met a more professional, accommodating and friendly front desk staff EVER. They really went above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Also hands down the best breakfast ive ever had that was INCLUDED with the room! I expected a continental breakfast, but was pleasantly surprised with a high quality meal. With a variety of fresh fruits, juices, pastries and chef-prepared dishes. If youre visiting Anna Maria Island 🏝 YOU MUST STAY HERE! Highly recommend it! 5/5

We stayed here for a long weekend & thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was clean & well maintained. We had a balcony view of the marina & enjoyed the view of the Sound. The free breakfast is a wonderful perk & it was nice to have 2 options for food right at the property. We ate & drank at both with positive experiences.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! I was so happy with staying here and having it be a great starting point for my trip. The front desk staff, Kelsea and Chris, were exceptional! Both gave amazing recommendations on things to do and which beaches to go to. The breakfast attendants (I can’t remember their names) were amazing and super friendly! Everyone working in the bar was super nice as well! I can’t wait to be back. Hopefully soon!!

We had a wonderful stay, the location is perfect for a couple to get away for a few days! The pool area and bar service was great! The included hot breakfast was a nice touch with good food. The restaurant next door was awesome! Go, enjoy for yourself!

We book a week here, easy to upgrade our room, staff is beyond wonderful. Breakfast service Dawn is so sweet, will recommend anything needed. Love the amenities, staff checks in often, cleaning service does amazing, can’t say enough good things. Immediately could tell we chose the right place for our week! Plus delicious food inside and out. Also the water available all day was the biggest perk for me! Plus snack times. Just can’t say enough about staying here.

We did family vacation a little differently this year- I flew in for a couple days (unfortunately had to bring some HEAVY DUTY school work with me) Tried to get some work done in the lobby (which is very nice!) but it was a bit loud due to a bar right inside (which is very cool, dont get me wrong!) A man named Taylor was MORE than accommodating for me. He set me up in a nice quiet meeting room and told me to stay as long as I needed! Not sure if he is the manager or just front desk personnel. Whatever his current position is- he deserves a promotion and a raise! Extremely nice & professional. The pool here is luxurious! 10/10 Hotel and everything is great, but it was Taylor who went the extra mile for me that turned this great experience into an AMAZING one!! We will be back for sure!

A few days ago, I made a resevation for your hotel. It looked to be a beautiful property with positive reviews. I made the reservation as a surprise Father's Day present for my husband and son (11 year old) who were already in the area. After speaking with my son tonight he told me that he couldn't have anything to eat. My husband told me that at the hotel restaurant a lady denied them service. She made them wait 25 minutes at which point my husband approached the woman to see if it was possible to make an order. The woman responded by rolling her eyes and sighing heavily. My husband and my son happened to be the only customers with a darker skin color. After waiting for another 25 minutes, they decided to leave and because of the time they ended having Doritos in a gas station for dinner. What was supposed to be a relaxing Father's Day evening turned into a rather disappointing and disheartening night. To say I am saddened and upset about this is an understatement. Please DO BETTER, and let's try to treat all customers equally no matter the color of their skin.

We received a very warm welcome from Cory at the front desk. He was absolutely amazing. Check in process was smooth & easy. There are lots of activities to do around the area. The food was delicious & the customer service was exceptional, we loved our room & the beautiful view of the marina! One night was just not enough & we will be back real soon! I used Resort Pass to book a pool day with a friend while on vacation. Resort Pass allowed us to use the amenities without being an overnight guest. The pool and surrounding area were clean, well laid out, photogenic, and created a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious (we ordered a salad and a sandwich) and served quickly. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. I will definitely visit again.

Well worth the visit for the pool! I visited Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound on a day pass from Resort Pass and had a great experience! The concierge at the front desk was the best concierge I’ve ever encountered—very helpful, took the time to walk us all the way to the pool and give us a mini tour, and was very pleasant to speak with. I’d classify it as going above and beyond what her job description entailed so it made the interaction standout from what I normally expect at hotels. The pool itself was fantastic and boasted a shelf around most of the pool to sit on so you could be in the water in the deeper end but also have a place to sit that was still in the water meaning you and your friends could easily swim or sit in the same space. I had used Resort Pass to go to other hotel pools for the day during this same trip and this by far was the cleanest of the pools I visited. The vibe was very tropical and relaxing. The aesthetic was perfect for content creation and my social media content was a big hit when I released a video of my trip! The food and drink from the hotel’s restaurant was fine—not the reason I’d go out of my way to go but definitely good. I went during the off season so the pool wasn’t crowded at all and made for a fantastic day trip! I didn’t see anything other than the lobby and the pool area, so I can’t speak to the quality of the rooms, but based on the pool, the customer service, and the proximity to all sorts of fun activities locally, I’d definitely recommend for a day trip or visit!

We did a staycation at Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound and loved every minute of it! One of the things that we loved most about our stay was the staff. It's true, first impressions last. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we were greeted with such friendliness and it lasted throughout the entire trip. It truly makes a difference when you're treated in such a pleasant manner when staying at a hotel! The rooms were clean and spacious, and it was situated close by to many area favorites. I can't wait to visit again!

Loved our stay here! In a wonderful location. Quick 5 minute drive to the beach, close to the grocery store. They’re right on the water and have a wonderful pool where you can watch the sunset. Breakfast was extremely yummy and they were quick to change out bins that were starting to look low. We would definitely come back!

This was such a fabulous resort. Not only is it absolutely beautiful but every single employee makes you feel so welcome! The rooms are large and the beds are really comfortable. Also, the free breakfast was so good! Definitely a great place to come stay - loved every minute of it with our kids!

We loved this place. So relaxing and a great place to stay for a wedding. Had a social one night on the private veranda that was awesome. Days spent by the pool were great and the staff always helpful and courteous bringing us food and drinks. Rooms and bathrooms very nice and clean. While place we’ll kept. Best was probably breakfast that was AMAZING! Ladies serving and cleaning up were fabulous too. Great job everyone.

I have stayed on Anna Maria island many times over the years. It was my 1st time staying here and I must say that the customer service was amazing!! Compared to everything else I've been experiencing over the last 2 or 3 years of travel this should be a standard that all places follow. Everything was clean! Their breakfast was amazing! And changed daily. Hands down will stay at this location again. Definitely worth the value. The only downside is it's not right on the beach but it is only 5 minutes away.
