Now this is what I call a proper sandwich. Excellent food! Bravo! The soups and the cakes are very good too but the sandwiches are simply perfect. Delicious, full of taste and flavour, generous fillings, so they didn't feel dry and they were toasted. Yum! Plus you get a salad on the side, which is just about right in terms of taste and freshness. I especially liked that it contained sundried tomatoes as they are my favourites. Thank you for the great food! Oh and the staff is very nice too. :)

Ended up here today with my partner and loved the food. So much choice, can't believe we didn't even know this place existed. Their vegan meats are incredible and there's a lot of flavour in everything overall. Will definitely be back to devour more of their cakes (hehe). Staff is great too; helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming.. recommend!!!

I had the full breakfast (asparagus, baked beans, beetroot, sausages etc.) and really enjoyed it. I basically finished the whole plate so I would say the portion size was spot on. The place has a very chilled out vibe and calm reggae was playing in the background.

Tried Picnic for the first time yesterday. Service was amazing, staff are really friendly and easy to talk to. Nice atmosphere in the place and the food was incredible. Got the baked sweet potato with humus and sun dried tomatoes and it was incredibly tasty! Will definitely be back!! Edit: been here again since and the experience was just as good, if not better. The food and service is arguably some of the best in Glasgow. Going again today!

An unexpected delight. I am usually a Saturday morning blood sack person, but this breakfast was delicious and filled me up without me feeling I had to sleep it off. Will definitely visit again.

This is a very good vegetarian restaurant with very friendly staff. It is close to the centre of Glasgow and only a couple of steps away from the University of Strathclyde. The food, drinks and coffee are very tasty. My absolut favourite.

This place is so lovely! Me and my partner were looking for healthy food places in Glasgow and this place is honestly perfect. Delicious food and very kind staff. They made us feel very welcomed. Also had a place to out my suitcase as I was traveling that day. The visuals and interior are also really lovely and calming. Would highly recommend it and will be visiting on my next trip to Glasgow!

Awesome vegan cafe!! Found it on Google and we gave it a try. We tried the Mediterranean focaccia and some coffees (they have options of soy, coconut, almond milk) and everything was delecious! The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great, nice and chilled. Located in the city centre, i will be back really soon!

The place is nice, and the service was fast; we wanted to wait a bit to make space for a cake, but they rushed us to leave once we ate, even though it wasn't busy.

We visited Picnic for Saturday brunch while in Glasgow and it was perfect. An extremely warm welcome from various team members, with good craic and friendly vibes. I had a peanut smoothie, and partner and I also each had the cooked breakfast which was the greenest fry-up I've ever seen, in the best way. The server checked for allergens and was really attentive. We got a couple of empire biscuits to go also. All in all, a very lovely experience. We were kindly seated despite not pre-booking and they seemed popular, so would advise that you reserve in advance!

I turned up for a late lunch feeling VERY hungry, and ordered the baked sweet potato with hummus, and a smoothie to drink. They were both really tasty, healthy and filling 😋 Would definitely recommend, and I will be back 👍 (And next time I may take a photo before I clear my plate)

Wonderful little café serving a great selection of healthy, delicious hot food, salads, wraps, smoothies, cakes and more. Staff were friendly and seating was clean and comfortable. A wonderful vegan haven in the heart of the city!

The venue has lots of seating possibilities inside and outside and they also played some nice jazz music to set a vibe. I ate their waffles and tried the Scottish sweet "Snowball"-both were really delicious and super filling. It was my first stop after I landed in Glasgow making it a really good start. It is all vegan and has option for gluten free.

We were at Picnic for a quick lunch today. We had not booked a table but we were very happily accommodated. The staff was very polite and friendly. We ordered the baked sweet potato and the BLT. Service was very swift and the food was delicious!! We had a train to catch so couldn't try the waffles, but we did get a lovely lovely slice of the biscoff cake to go which was so delicious! We'd love to visit this cafe again the next time we're in Glasgow. Highly recommended!

Wonderful lunch today at this cafe. Vegan selection was amazing as were the smoothies. Service was impeccable too. I highly recommend for coffee and/or lunch. I also tried a vegan Scottish Snowball and it was absolutely delicious and indistinguishable from the non-vegan version...I can’t wait to return! Thank you👍

Ok. One star a little harsh, agreed. The others in my party were fine. However, as we just walked in, it wasn't very clear to passers by that this was the position that you were a 100% totally vegan establishment. Many thanks.

Excellent all round, prices, staff/service, quality of food/drinks. Even non vegans would enjoy this and the snowballs are insanely good. Will definately be back.

Such a great cafe. Food was amazing, as were desserts, and the staff were so kind. With my allergies, eating out can be a bit stressful but the staff went above and beyond. The portion sizes were perfect too. Would definitely eat here again.

Stopped by today as I saw a beautiful cake being eating by a customer in the window. Popped in and grabbed the last slice to take away. Upon eating the cake it was superb, lovely flavours, lovely texture and consistency. Next time I'm in the area I will be returning. Thanks team your fab!!!!

The ambiance and vibe is great. Good selection is not much, had the Mediterranean Focaccia bread, which is great. But was not undistinguished from what we usually prepare in our kitchen. The whole point of eating out is to get that extraordinary feeling that we derive from such avenues. Can improve.

Me and my group of best girlfriends always visit our old riding trail haunts and we make a lovely adventure of visiting Scotland every few months. This time we discovered this place, I wasn't keen at first as I thought it was more catering towards vegans, so I presumed the food would be tasteless, but wow, absolutely devine foods and drinks, so trust me when I say even if your not vegan, and your friends are keen for you to join in eating their vegan options, you will still love this place, as even the vegan foods are super tasty!!! The food was amazing, the drinks were super refreshing, you can tell everything is made with utmost love and attention, I don't have quite the same disdain for vegan food now...certainly not how this place makes it, delicious!!! Loved the smiles and welcoming attitude, genuinely lovely place.

Nestled in the city centre close to the university buildings, this is a convenient place for a spot of quick healthy lunch. Prices are a little on the expensive side to lunch here everyday, but the quality is really good and the taste amazing. Variations of salads and sandwiches available.

Super yummy and healthy! Loaded sweet potatoes are so good! Seasoning and tastes in general are well balanced. A small jewel in the city centre, definitely we'll go back

  • 5/5 Jamiel L. 5 years ago on Google
This cafe knows exactly what’s its doing, how it’s doing it and doesn’t reach beyond or drop below the standard of vegan breakfast/lunch experience that I’m looking for. I was extremely satisfied with my visits for both Lunch and Breakfast, and the speed of service and clever layout matches it’s city centre location. The decor is also a lovely addition. Highly recommended for something quickly, healthy and reliable.

  • 2/5 Martyna W. 3 years ago on Google
Was there yesterday, as I wanted to spend my online classes in a coffe shop coz the others where full. The door was wide open and it was freezing cold inside, I was sitting in my hat, gloves and jacket all the time. For me its unacceptable for the restaurant to be colder/ the same as outside... Also, there is no atmosphere and the decor was very bland, it was not really pleasant to sit here. If it comes to food, I did only chose espresso, it was quite good.

Go here a lot. Really nice staff and fast service. Always get granola here it's probably one of the best vegan granola I've found. The cake selection is probably the best for vegan cakes in Glasgow! It has a nice chilled out atmosphere and it's dog friendly! (not ideal for big dogs though also not ideal at peak times for dogs that don't like too much noise!)

I love Picnic. I've been for breakfast both times I visited Glasgow. Its delicious fresh food with so many lovely tea options. Their full vegan breakfast is the best I've ever tried and has lots of veg. They also do an excellent BLT. They had a freshly baked raspberry and coconut muffin which was so delicious and packed with flavour (not just sugar). The space is really bright and open and inviting. And the staff were very friendly and helpful.

So glad I came across this brilliant local cafe! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming even when they are super busy with orders. Their passion for delivering freshly prepared, delicious and entirely ethical food just shines through and there's something on the the menu to please every palette. I wouldn't know what to recommend first! It's lovely to be able to continue to support hard-working and passionate local businesses right in the City Centre.
