One-of-a-kind place offering tasty vegan/vegetarian menu and broad selection of vegan cakes. Great coffee too. On Sundays they do 3 varieties of Sunday roast (Seitan Roast, Nut Roast and Meatless Loaf), all of which are amazing. Booking recommended, particularly at weekends.

I visited the dragonfly today for lunch, two of us were vegetarian and other two meat eaters, and everyone was really happy with the food, no-one complained there was no meat at all. The decor was bright and inviting, abit like a nice family country kitchen, the staff were attentive (but not intrusive) and friendly, extremely helpful and polite. Now the food.... Okay so the chips are perfection! Crispy on the outside, nice hand-cut steak chips, fluffy on the inside, crispy and dry and just heavenly. Food was well prepared, presented and tasted excellent. Special nod to the chickpea wrap and the Buddha bowl. Plenty of gluten free and vegan options as well. Puddings are a selection of homemade cakes and flapjack bars, with either vegan or dairy ice cream. I strongly recommend the chocolate, it's delicious. It's a great little place to eat in Aberystwyth, worth a visit. But I recommend to book if it's a busy weekend or lunchtime to avoid disappointment. Although they do have takeaway options also. Well done dragonfly, we'll see you again soon.

Visited after seeing previous reviews and wasn't disappointed. My partner and I had the vegan seitan roast and my meat eating mum had the nut roast and said it was delicious. The oat milk chai latte was one of the nicest I've tasted. Great choice of food, lovely, friendly staff and a chilled out atmosphere. As a vegan it was lovely to have so much choice and would definitely recommend a visit. We wished we had room for dessert as the sweet stuff looked amazing too.

We came in today for lunch and had a great experience. They have a great assortiment of fresh drinks, tea etc. We ordered the hot dog with garlic mushrooms (yum!), the noodle bowl (yum!) and the potato and leek soup (yum!). One of the highlights is definitely their chips, which are some of the best I've had in the UK, especially with their vegan mayo. All large portions and absolutely delicious! Also super reasonably priced!! The staff are all super friendly :)

Absolutely incredible food. On our hols we had Buddha bowl, Sunday roast and finished the week with an afternoon tea. All vegan (with veggie options), homemade ice cream, crumble - just so spoilt for choice. Even perfect if you fancy a cuppa and cake

This place is a little gem and you might easily miss it as its tucked away behind the market. Its a great find for people who enjoy plant based foods. Tom, the young guy who served us, was a great host: informed, warm and always attentive. The coffee was good, the cakes gorgeous and the portions were very generous. They also do take outs. I good this place continues to thrive- good for Aberystwyth, good for you and good for the planet.

We've been to this lovely little bistro a few times now and we are never disappointed. Fantastic selections. We've tried their pies, buddha bowls, sunday lunches and amazing cakes. And it is all vegan with great glutenfree options. Both our vegetarian and meat eater friends love coming to this place as well. Let's not forget the staff. So so lovely :)

If you are looking for beautiful food and beautiful people, this is the spot. Lovely selection of food. Warm and friendly. Genuine vegan food, as if they don’t just take things away to make it vegan. They have plant-based alternatives, and they are good.

Such an interesting and varied menu, and food delicious served by lovely, friendly staff. Having a place like this in Aberystwyth is like a breath of fresh air, just really sorry I didn't try it sooner! My husband is not vegetarian but thoroughly enjoyed his meal and we look forward to trying some of the other dishes next time. Oh, and the lemon poppy seed cake was to die for!

Came here on our day trip visit to Aberystwyth. Highly recommend, the food was incredibly tasty especially the chocolate cake ! 😍 very friendly welcoming service - as someone who is autistic and very anxious in public, they made me feel at ease as soon we walked in. we will definitely come back here every time we are passing Aberystwyth!! :)

It is remarkable to find an establishment, in which everyone who works there, is a lovely human being. I thoroughly enjoyed the vegan options on offer and would highly recommend this place to everyone. The fact that they're dog friendly is also a huge bonus, if you, like us, like to take your four legged friends on holiday with you!

We are local vegans who come here for two reasons: the food and Gail. The food is well priced, varied and delicious. The staff are all lovely, but Gail is the highlight. She is warm and interested in her customers, and makes me feel like I’ve had a hug when I leave. The portions leave me full too! Thank you Gail and all at Dragonfly Bistro. I just wish you were open all the time! 🙂

Delicious homemade ice cream and the best cakes (all vegan and always at least one is gluten free). Chef is very happy to swap things out to meet dietary needs (and fussiness) where possible.

Fantastic late lunch, spinach curry sublime. Great vegan and gluten free options. The friendliest of staff.

The food, service and cakes are great. The hard part is deciding which flavour is my favourite...so far the chocolate and marshmallow with chocolate ice-cream is up there but that could change! Has to be the best place for cakes in town.

We had a beautiful vegan Sunday lunch at the Dragonfly Bistro. I had a nut roast which was homemade and absolutely stunning. The service was friendly, fast and the price was good too. The menu is extensive with lots of vegan treats to try along with a nice selection of drinks including a very tasty local cider 😊 We can highly recommend a visit 😊

Lovely staff that seem to really care about their clientele. Food was lovely. I'm not a vegan but it passed the vegan food test. It was good not because it didn't seem vegan but because it made me not care.

We popped in for a quick lunch the other day, lovely clean interior with a great welcome. The food was fantastic I'm not a vegetarian but trying to swap out more meat from my diet and this place is perfect as it tastes better than the meat equivalent.

This bistro is simply amazing. Lovely selection of food for vegetarian coeliacs such as my wife. Staff who were so warm and welcoming. Honestly we can't say enough good things about Dragonfly Bistro. Tip the homemade none dairy ice cream is THE Best we have ever had.

The Sunday Roast was absolutely delicious. Full of flavour and so fresh. The staff are really welcoming and friendly and clearly care a great deal about the quality of the vegan food they prepare and serve. Well worth a visit!

What a fabulous place! We had a very tasty Sunday lunch, meatless loaf with a big variety of vegetables and delicious gravy, followed by a fruit crumble and home made ice cream. Chef and front of house lady were both delightful and SO helpful with food allergies. It's definitely a place I'd visit again. As a vegetarian it's a real bonus to be able to choose from an extensive, home-cooked-from-scratch menu.

The best dining out experience in our 2 weeks holiday in Wales. Lovely wee cafe with sweet and kind people. The cakes are phenomenal, tried the mocha and chocolate cake (buttercream frosting was the best I've ever had on any cake), daily soup and bread, pasta bowl. So many vegan options. Only wished out stomachs were bigger

We visited whilst we were on holiday and were so glad we did. Fantastic friendly service, and wonderful food and drinks which had very obviously had a lot of care put into them. We also took home some cake which was delicious.

Good vegan fare if slightly limited menu, which is a limitation of being a small independent business I suppose! But enjoyed our lunch and highly recommend to anyone looking for homemade vegan/veggie food in Aberystwyth- at a good price too!

Wow! This place is truly amazing. So much choice for vegans and all made from scratch. The best vegan cheesecake I've ever eaten. The mains were delicious too. Vegan cakes and desserts, its like heaven for vegans here. Literally can't fault this place. So very welcoming too. Thank you, we will be back from Haverfordwest to see you again :)

Visited yesterday. Very impressed. A wide selection of wholesome food and drinks to suit all weathers eg healthy smoothies and homemade ice cream as it was a hot day! A very warm welcome from owner and staff. Clean and affordable. Definitely worth visiting.

On a day trip we planned to go in due to good reviews and very glad we did. Very lovely and welcoming, our dog Moose got lots of cuddles and treats (even some to take away) and the food was incredible! So refreshing to find a hearty vegan place with amazing flavour and fresh food. Coffee was great but the ice cream was out of this world. Recommend the potato cake platter with a variety of salads and chutney but also the quesadilla was fantastic. Definitely planning to go back whenever we are in the area.

👍👍 What a lovely Spoons that is actually situated in Aberystwyth Train Station. Plenty of spacious areas and it is so light and airey in there due to the glass roof that floods the area by the train tracks in beautiful natural light. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast before leaving on our next port of call...

👍👍 A great place for a quick snack. The staff seem to always be having a really good day which makes such a pleasant change these days. We had a full English breakfast which was great although they do do vegan options too.
