It's a great place to learn about the history or just hangout with the family, esp children. Lots of toys you can try in here. Come in the afternoon to enjoy the environment.

It's a cool place. Well, I have to say that some of the facilities there are broken, but inside the monument it's pretty amazing. You can see dioramas and mini-museums there, with lots of guns, cannons, and traditional weapons on display. Outside, there are some boats that you can use to go around the canal that surrounds the main building.

A monument to commemorate the return of Yogyakarta to Yogyakarta's people during the Dutch military aggression in the late 48s This place offer various diorama with audio lesson which tell story of the fight during the war. Also some item left behind or used during the war are preserved here. For you who really want to know the history of how yogyakarta's people fought for the liberation of yogyakarta, see the full story here. Suggest come here in the afternoon, and enjoy the Lantern surrounding the monument at night.

There is no queue of visitors, maybe because of its location which is located in the traffic jam. Anyway it's a nice place to visit. price of admission IDR 15K, parking ticket price IDR 5K (car).

An interesting place to learn about Indonesian history, particularly during the Indonesian National Revolution. But if you're not interested in that you can still visit because there are a lot of World War II weapons on display.

I'm impressed. This museum give me chill. Especially the second floor. The outdoor is also welcoming. Really, one of the best museum experience. Though, I am not a fan of coming to a museum, this museum makes me want to go there again. Ticket price is 15k at time I go there.

The monument marks on of the most prestigious events in the Indonesian war of independence. After the fall of Jogjakarta due to Operation Kraai, Indonesian managed to took back the city for one day to told the world that Republic of Indonesia was still exist. Anyway, the building needs a huge overhaul or at least renovation.

For history it is informative. It is small and takes about 15 minutes to walk through. The information plaques are in Indonesian and English, but the information is not identical. There is more information in Indonesian. The displays are well kept. The sound system is crackly which was a shame and there is some wear and tear. The pictures on the walls outside are really interesting for history buffs and political students. The place was empty. The staff were really lovely and do a great job. The park in which it is located is big and probably has more visitors in the evening than during the day.

It holds a lot of Yogyakarta history, not much was inside the parts of museums are divided into some rooms, so there’s like museum I, Museum II and others, the lighting are meh for me because its very dark in the rooms so it gives me pretty scary vibes 🫠🫠 i reccommend to add lighting or change to white lights. Overall the park is amazing, it gives chill vibes 😶‍🌫️

A good place to commemorate our national heroes, especially that fight in the second dutch invasion. But the administrator of this place should take a better care to this monument. Cleaning and the exterior/interior design should be more thorough.

As we know, it is the iconic of Yogyakarta. The functions be more various than just a museum. On the night it changes as Lampion Park. But I can't still easily find a good clean food court here.

Went here during my high school time. It's a wonderful moment to visit here as I can truly see authentic evidence of the revolutionary war against colonials.

When I was at Yogyakarta, I wanted to visit the Monumen Yogya Kembali because I was intrigued by its shape. Entrance to the museum cost me IDR 10,000.00. Photography was permitted all throughout the museum. The structure is divided into two parts: the upper conical portion and square base. Inside the conical structure is a museum containing dioramas of historical events pertaining to Indonesia’s Independence from the Dutch. At the center is a stone slab with a quote from President Soeharto The wall surrounding the conical structure contains reliefs of more historical events.

😠 According to me. This is one of the night tours that should be repaired, if it can't be repaired, it's better to close
