Very polite crew here. Awesome food. Colorful atmosphere. They offered me a free hot tea, while I waited at the sushi bar for my to go order. Highly recommend Otani's Japanese restaurant! I would love to recommend the Jalapeno popper sushi roll, White Russian sushi roll, electric eel sushi roll!

HUGE vegan menu. My girlfriend and I finally made it to Otani for lunch and we shared the unagi roll, spider-man roll, haiku roll, edamame, and gyoza. Not a single complaint. As the wall says, “No. 1 Sushi”!!! and everything else too… Otani’s ice water even tastes amazing 😂 Our server (Marco) was super attentive and personable. Can’t wait to come back and have a dinner entree!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent food. We had it delivered through DoorDash and we received everything we had ordered. We can’t wait to go to the actual restaurant for dinner! Yum! This has to be the best sushi/hibachi we have had in Cleveland so far!

Had to get our sushi fix last Friday! We love the unique specialty rolls Otani has! Right balance of rice, not too big, not too small! We eat at the bar, it’s just our thing! Drink service was slightly slow, but they were busy! Add a couple of Pear Lychee martini’s each and all is good in the world! It’s close to home so it’s our go-to for sushi. Gotta check out the hibachi side sometime soon! Pictured below is Fire Crab roll Iron Man roll Jalapeno Papa roll Red Spider roll Haiku roll

This place looks very clean and modern environment. They even had tables if you wanted to sit on the floor which is pretty cool, I rarely see those. We had the Tuna Madness sushi roll which was delicious!!!! 10/10, but I will say I don’t recommend the ramen here. Very bland the noodles weren’t that good, the both wasn’t great (we ordered the Tonkotsu ramen) . I can probably make better ramen at home. I will go back due to the awesome atmosphere and I’d like to try their habachi.

Very disappointed. We didn’t even stay long enough to order food. It is filthy and service was awful. This place needs a good deep cleaning. The to go set up is all over the front- dirty pots of soup and dirty dish bins out. Server never brought one of the drinks. We just put cash out to pay for the worst martini I have ever tasted and left. Do not recommend.

The food really wasn't good. I could pay for a decent meal, but I could have prepared my own food better. The waiter didn't have any care when I mentioned a small complaint. He was busy busting a sag with his shirt smunched up his boxers. The atmosphere is pretty lame, but at least it's mostly clean. Totally sucked. Won't be back ever.

Came here with friends recently for hibachi. We've come in the past both for sushi and for hibachi and both have been good. This time was no exception - the chef was good natured and cooked us up some great fried rice, veggies, and meats. The steak and scallops were delicious! I'm not vegan and no one at the table was, but they also appeared to have a pretty robust vegan menu. One friend was vegetarian and the chef made sure to ask several questions to make sure they were okay with egg, butter, etc.

Great hibachi grill! They have smaller grill top tables as well so our party of 5 had the whole table to ourselves. Our chef was great and funny, and the food was really tasty too! The steaks were surprisingly quite nice cuts as well! Big portions too, I had to take over half of my triple combo home!

They have an extensive menu, great service, and great food! My girlfriend and I requested the vegan menu and got three sushi rolls — unagi (using eggplant), spider (mushroom “crab”), and haiku (yam and zucchini with mango sauce). The gyoza and edame were excellent too, and we’re definitely coming back for entrees soon! Cannot recommend enough!!

This food was disgusting. From the pictures online, it looked like a regular hibachi restaurant. We go and sit down in the restaurant style area (cooks are not in front of you), and we ordered hibachi chicken. Some of the worst chicken we have ever had in our lives. Tasted like boiled, frozen chicken. Even the fried rice had absolutely no flavor. We are also avid sushi eaters, and I can confidently say the worst sushi I have ever had as well. Seaweed felt like I was chewing gum, literally could not even eat it.

Service was slow; it seems like they couldn't handle a large party that had been seated before us. I can't imagine what our experience would have looked like if the restaurant were at full capacity. They almost forgot to bring our dumplings. Crab rangoon was alright; a bit crisp. My sushi was delicious. Honestly, not sure if I would come again; I'd rather go somewhere closer to home for similar quality sushi.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki and because they got rid of the hibachi tables, you don’t see what’s being cooked…there was no mention on the menu of getting a side shrimp. I went to bite in to my chicken and it was shrimp. Luckily I’m not allergic however, I don’t eat seafood and was sick for two days.
