😠 The male at registration was unprofessional and refused to check me in. I walked in to get a drug screening that my job ordered to that location. I told him, hello, I am here for a drug screening and he said “NOPE”, I said why, you close at 8:00pm, I have 30 minutes.. he said “well you if you don’t... I went to med express this last Sunday August 12th. I was staying with my mom who is very sick so already stressed I just needed to get care quickly. I gave the male receptionist my license and insurance card. I have federal health insurance with very good coverage through my husbands work. I also checked before hand to see if they were in network. I have out of network coverage as well. After waiting awhile he called me back up and told me that he had trouble getting it through the system and it would be $190. Then told me to go to the UPMC urgent care. I have had the issue before and politely asked if he could call to verify my coverage. Still smiling he slapped both my cards down and said “ no I’m not doing it” in a super rude tone of voice. It was creepy and mean. I am concerned he had my license while I waited he gave me the heebies. I feel uncomfortable he has my information. I was just like okay bye. I took his advice and went to upmc and had no issues. They were very polite and I got my health issue treated. Really he did me a favor. If the receptionist is that way i can’t imagine the billing issues and poor care in this case non existent care I’d get. I didn’t stick around to argue I just left he had all kinds of bad vibes. On the other hand upmc urgent care did a good job and I was in and out. So 5 stars for them and 0 for med express do not recommend. If you are a woman do not go there while this guy is there. My husband was with me so I think it could have been worse. I’ll be calling their corporate office to let them know what happened.

Med express 3/31,2023 Was there from 4:45pm till 8 pm the first time. Went to the rest room in the waiting room, the floor was wet, my knee gave out ( reason I was there is because of my knee) as I was turning and I slipped and fell. Catching myself on the hand rail by the toilet. I hurt my shoulder. I did tell the receptionist at the front desk what happened. She said she would tell them in back and ushered me out the door. 4/7/23 Upon the return visit was told I would have to pay for the exam on my shoulder. A week later, and I am still having problems with my shoulder. 4-27-23 The Director called me after this review )on the 17th) said she would see what they can do for me and I have not heard back from them. The pain is waking me up at night in tears. I feel like they don’t care. 4-30-23 The Director was supposed to get back with me two weeks ago about me falling in the restroom and hurting my shoulder. If this would’ve been looked at when I first fell, I would not have a problem. But it has been a month and I’m still not receiving any Word from anyone. This is unacceptable. 5/2/23 Received a phone call stating I could go in and get examined for free. 5/3/23 Went in for exam. Did an X-ray. 5/4/23 Received phone call stating anything beyond that exam I will have to pay for. After stating I should not have to pay for an accident on their property. They will look into what to do next. 7/19/23 I have been getting a bill for the X-ray, that I was told would be covered, for $345.00!!! Went to an orthopedic dr and paid $75.00. Had the MRI done today and that’s going to cost over $1000.00, for falling on water in the rest room and catching the handicap rail. 7/24/2023 Received another bill today. Also went to the doctor for a follow up on the shoulder, another $75.00. I have a torn rotator cuff and it requires surgery. 10/30/2023. Well, here it is going into November. Had the surgery on Aug 5th. Start therapy Thursday 11/02/2023. It will cost me $75.00 each time I go. I know it will hurt like crazy. I am already in a bunch of pain. I will probably have to go to therapy 3X a week. I sent all the bills into Med Express and have not heard a thing. So much stress and pain. I’m out of work, fortunately I have short term disability to pay some bills.

The receptionist was not pleasant at all. Was told I had to have an appointment for a Drug test for work. She refused to get a manager and told me that she was the one I charge because no one else was there. She was very very rude. Told me I would have to come back in a few hours when I don't live in the area. The sign said either you could set up an appointment or walk in and she told me that's not how she does things. It's appointment only. Very dissatisfied. I called my company and informed them of this. They apologized and told me they would not of sent me there if they known that.

Came in with my mom who is ill, given an appt and told to come back 2.5 hrs later. Then when we came back told her to have a seat then never registered her and took everyone else in the waiting room. It's an urgent care, if we wanted an appt, we would have called her PCP and waited another week. Very disappointed, won't be back again!! Weds, 12/6/23 - had to take my husband in for illness, called off work, only place insurance covered near to us. Made appt for 5pm, went in, front desk told us his insurance wasnt accepted there. I showed her the phone screen that it was a participating provided. She wanted us to pay $199 and fight it out with the insurance for refund. Why would I pay that amount when his copay is $10? I went outside and called his insurance, the insurance called the office and told them they were a covered provided. The insurance was sent to he billing office. We were then put on a 3 way call to give them the billing insurance information to put in their system. After 30 minutes of being told that they do not have that billing address or phone number on their file, they didnt know what to do. The office staff is not trained, very unprofessional, and disorganized beyond belief. After fighting with them for over an hour, we left. He was unable to provide a doctor's excuse for his day off, but we explained the situation at your facility and they were very understanding. While we were there, there were also several other patients that walked out very unhappy with how the place has been run since Covid ruined the world! I have done medical billing for years and it is not rocket surgery to build a new insurance carrier into the database and the employees should know this and not make it an issue for ill and injured people! The front desk secretary just kept repeating that there wasnt a button to push...no button to push, I dont know what to do....here's an idea - call the number on the insurance card. They won't bite!!! So 2 family members now have been treated terribly!! I wont allow this to happen to them again!!

Office girl was rude and not doing her job. There was 1 other person in the waiting room and she didn't get anyone checked in. Came at 8 and didn't get checked in until 8:30. Doctors in the back were waiting for patients. This girl needs fired. Wasting everyone's time.

I would give a zero. The staff if so rude, coming in at 7:35 and turned away with a child.they close at 8 and 25 mins with no one waiting is just going to ruin their night. I was told to come in on the phone. Awful!! I could have gone somewhere else but they wasted my time. They just wanted to be done for the night. I wish I would have gotten the rude receptionist name from tonight.

I wish there was a way to pick half a star for this terrible place it's not the treatment it's the lack of humanity in this med Express I hope not all locations are like this one. Multiple times we've experienced this and many other people I've spoken to in the area have said the same thing. That one or multiple people working here are racist towards anyone who comes into this place for medical help even the simple things end up becoming an issue all over someones terrible point of view. I'm not saying everyone here is a terrible person but they do have one or more of the staff that are very very inconsiderate and rude. If someone is sick and clearly in need of help can't breathe and is throwing up maybe you shouldn't tell them it's not their problem and that you shouldn't come here basically. How is this still possible we need to be better we need to treat each other with respect. If you took that job that line of work to be in the medical field and still think we all don't bleed red then shame on you and shame on those who raised you to be such a hateful individual. "Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a better person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in." I and my son always go to MedExpress for quick and effective medical attention. This is the perfect medical care facility for people who have busy lives.

Went for a sport’s physical. They seemed just want to get it over with and did not care too much. Other places were more thorough with it but here did the bare minimum. They also weren’t the nicest people to talk to.

The male at registration was unprofessional and refused to check me in. I walked in to get a drug screening that my job ordered to that location. I told him, hello, I am here for a drug screening and he said “NOPE”, I said why, you close at 8:00pm, I have 30 minutes.. he said “well you if you don’t have to pee it’ll take too long, I kindly told him, I have to pee right now and he said “NO” and pointed his finger to the door more than once and told me to go elsewhere. This is the worst encounter I have ever had. The other workers ended up allowing me to get my drug screening. However he would not tell me his name, he was not wearing a name badge. It is devastating what is going on in healthcare! This man does not deserve a job. Thankfully there were two witnesses one being my mother. During this process he laughed in my mothers face when she asked for his boss and he replied “she’s not here”. This review does not even do justice to what happened, the man was so mean to be and being rude to me with a mean tone.. I had anxiety for a long time after this took place. He was so creepy, I honestly felt scared after my interaction with him.. please be safe if you go to this location, this man isn’t right.

Cynthia was an amazing nurse! She has an awesome personality and it was very evident that she truly cares about the patients she helps. It was a pleasure being under her care and it's even better to know there are still good kind people left in this world today! Great job 👏 👍 👌 🙌 More people should aspire to be like you! Thank you for the great experience!

The provider seemed annoyed to have to see me. When asked for a work excuse, I was given attitude. The excuse was then not printed. I had to ask for it again because it wasn't with my discharge paperwork. Upon leaving, I realized the work excuse had someone else's name on it so I had to return to have it fixed. I'm now getting a bill because apparently my insurance didn't go thru. I would rather lay at home and die then go back there. This is why the ER is clogged with urgent care patients
