First time ever eating here! The Turkey Reuben and Potato Salad were both fantastic! Will definitely be going back! Highly recommend! Chicken Salad is awesome!

This place is top notch! Becoming a regular is even better. They know your favorites. When they see you you are always greeted with a smile. Never ever disappointed! All of the sandwiches are literally the best! Not forgetting the broccoli salad and carrot cake! Oh so good!

Lunch or dinner we ate in. Nice and full off the Italian sun nice and hot. There griddle grills made it taste so flavorful with a pickle. Menu you was a wide variety. Definitely hitting this lunch spot again. It’s in my top 5 for lunch now on.

Wow Diamond Deli sandwiches are amazing! I work down the street and try to go as often as I can. I have tried a few of their Sandwiches, all of which are creatively named and tate excellent. My favorite so far is the Cuban but I have plenty more to try. I recommend Diamond Deli to anyone who is craving a quality Sandwich and a good price!

Just “Woawwww”, we will be back, by far the best sandwiches in Akron Downtown, if you are around stop by, they close after lunch and it is way easier if you ordered ahead on their website. The lines can go long, this place is famous between locals.

Legit! I was looking for a place for lunch while visiting here. The reviews brought me in and the line of customers waiting to order assured me I was in the right place. These guys make great sandwiches!

Old school downtown deli with outstanding food and great crew.

The guys there are all so friendly and welcoming, they remember my dad's order every time we go, and I have yet to have a sandwich I didn't absolutely love. Fast service. Friendly service. Patient with customers, just amazing. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good sandwich

I had a corned beef and pastrami sandwich. It was better than Katz’s in NYC. This place is incredible . I’ll spend the next six months chasing the feeling of that first bite on my taste buds. I’m honestly angry I’ve lived 27 years without ever trying these guys. It’s THAT good. Can’t recommend it enough

Love this place! New favorite sandwich place in Akron. New to the area and a friend turned me on to it. Don't know how people think the portions are small - the sandwiches are huge! Tried several - all with corned beef, pastrami, or both - all delicious. Matzo ball soup is fantastic - and has noodles as a bonus! Order on-line and you just walk past the line to pick it up by the cash register - no waiting! Always have had friendly service and food packed in a box for easy transport on the floor of my car. Need to try eating in - love the old school vibe of the booths.

Cool vibes and great food. First time at this location in probably 10 years. I went with the buffalo chicken wrap. It was very good. We went to Diamond Deli for a work lunch and everyone really loved what they got. I believe Diamond Deli used to provide the food for the RShea Brewery Valley Location, so I think I had other sandwiches there. However, I will definitely be making a return soon and I'll probably try out a sandwich!

Went today to take an employee out to lunch. The sandwich was absolutely fantastic and totally worth the wait in the line (that was to the door). I believe the delicious desert (a slice of cheesecake) were also homemade by the deli and, while simple, was top notch. Will definitely come back if ever in Akron and very glad to have looked up the best spots to eat in town on Reddit. The locals recommending Diamond did not lead me astray.

Very good food. Zero complaints. When we walked in around 12:30 pm there was a bit of a line and that for me is always a good sign. There was good music playing in the background. The vibe was great. I got the Italian sub and I thought it was absolutely delicious. Good meats on the sub and I would recommend getting it toasted. I would most definitely come back here next time I’m around Akron area!

for some reason, being born and raised in akron, i have never been to diamond deli. it wasn’t until after i had lived in west hollywood (a few blocks from canter’s in LA) and in the east village (a few blocks from katz’s in new york) had i tried this akron institution for the first time… and maybe that’s for a reason. the sandwiches i had were mind-blowing, perhaps the best i’ve ever tried. i’d like to say this is coming from experienced taste buds. my sister and i came on a cold december day at lunchtime and the line was out the door. i was nervous about not having enough time to make the very important decision of which sandwich i was going to try, because the line ended up moving quicker than i had anticipated. we ended up going with the “billie’s belly pleaser” and the “charlie hustle”. we split both sandwiches between the two of us, obviously to enjoy the best of both worlds 😍 i’m not as good at describing food as other reviewers here, so i’ll skip going into too much detail. i will tell you that there was plenty of meat on the sandwiches, and the flavor was absolutely WILD. so so so delicious. and somehow without sounding strange, they were really juicy sandwiches which complimented the toasted rye bread. wow. just wow. we probably sounded so strange, just sitting there groaning with each bite. what a festive moment for my mouth!! lol. as another reviewer said, it’s probably good that i don’t live close by as i’d probably develop an unhealthy addiction to this place. there’s a reason they’ve been here for such a long time. lastly, my sister warned me that the staff was “all business”, so asking questions was a no-no. as usual, my sister was wrong 😂 the folks behind the counter and register couldn’t have been more kind, even asking how my meal was. i’m so excited to come back!

We were at Akron children’s hospital and I got carry out for my wife and I. It’s in walking distance to the hospital. They have great matzo ball soup, and our sandwiches were awesome. They also have AMAZING carrot cake. I highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Always, ALWAYS Great Sandwiches. How their lunch line doesn't reach Canal Park I don't know. Today had a Billie and a a Cuban (we halved and split them - no way could one person eat two) and they were awesome

👌🤌 chef's kiss. Ordered a large order and everything was beyond expectations! It was a hit at work since everyone raved about it! Great customer service. Went during lunch rush and they were absolutely getting smacked with orders. I've been craving the Cuban ever since!

Amazing food and great staff. Just placed an online order and they ran out of my side, not a big deal it happens. The Diamond Deli called me to tell me they were out of my side, in the middle of their lunch rush with people lined up out the door they took the time to do this. Just earned a customer for life.

What a wonderful gem in Akron. Had the Sue’s “I’m not like my mom” sandwich and it was very tasty. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. Look forward to going back to try other sandwiches 🥪!

This place is a Diamond in the rough!!!! My family and I was traveling from out of state and we found this place on Google. With all of the great reviews, we decided to try it. This place DID NOT disappoint. The sandwhiches and macaroni salad was beyond good. You won’t be disappointed with the food. The prices are extremely reasonable and the bonus…it’s family owned and I love supporting family owned businesses.

I just had the best sandwich I have ever eaten in my life! My wife has been nagging me to try this place for years. It's a small hole in the wall type of place with amazing customer service. These guys would become a national brand if they expanded to other viable locations!

Never been to Akron wasn't downtown working today. I hit up this deli and it was quite a gem. I knew since I had a little bit of a line coming in the door it must be good it was excellent. I'm a chicken salad fan they're chicken salad is right there up top. Carrot cake was outstanding. I would most definitely go back.
