A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RECOMMEND. In 2020, my parents have scheduled a trip to Thailand. Everything was canceled due of Covid-19. Mrs. Shazia Tincowree, the Marketing Manager, indicated they were waiting for a refund from the airline when we asked for one. We were still chasing them months later when we discovered that the agency had never been able to book tickets. Mrs. Shazia kept telling my parents that they needed to wait and that the money had already been transferred. LIAR! Where is the money if they haven't purchased the tickets? They should be ashamed of themselves! Be careful guys.

Got the worst experience ever with them. I’ve been fighting for 9 months for a refund (still missing 40%) they never replied my mails, never return a phone call, even let me on waiting for several minutes on the phone without anyone picking it up in the end. I don’t recommend at all. Very good sales team destroyed by the after sales part.

Horrible service!! None responsive and lying staff. Had to wait more than a year to receive a refund!!! Meanwhile staff is passing on the hot potato as I call, and are not ashamed of lying to us!!!

That is the most unprofessional travel agency with whom I worked. There used to be an agent Muzayna, at least she rectified her booking mistakes in the past. But since she's gone, they have left my emails, request and phone calls unanswered. They told me that they Emirates do not give refunds and when I called Emirates, they said they provide refund and I must contact my travel agency (i have a proof of this email.) I sent them an email on the 29th October 2020 and no acknowledgement/ answer from them. I called today, they pick up and hang after few seconds. I call on WhatsApp..NO reply!!!!! It happened TWICE in the past that they didn't book a vegetarian meals and i stayed hungry during my flight!!!! That is my experience with SHAMAL TRAVEL

Used to give very good service but standards have dropped ever since. Staff all look busy and overloaded and no call back after my visit for my request. Provided me with a direct phone number but incoming call on the number is barred.

Worst experience ever. We were a group of friends traveling to Rodrigues, booked the tickets and accommodation. Ata the airport only a few of us went through as there was no available seats on the plane despite having booked and paid for tickets. Bad customer service . No refund till now. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

I know my review this will not change anything but i don’t want anyone to go through same situation as me. To start with i will never recommend anyone Shamal Travel. It’s the first time i have booked with them for vacation. It was unplanned, me and my husband decided everything in 5 days . Our plan was to go to Europe. But as advised by a staff there, she said it would be more expensive so it’s better choose Malaysia. We agreed because as per her quotation France was really expensive. At last we choose Singapore Malaysia. The package costs Rs 227000- Rs 113500 per person with air tickets and package. Our mistake was we trust them on everything and agreed and did a deposit. As this was last minute decision about Malaysia Singapore we didn’t know anything about the price and package. To my surprise, other travel agent were offering better prices, i would say at least 60000 difference. I immediately informed the staff but she told me she already reserved everything, cannot cancel. I also asked for more details of the package, about how much it costs but she said not allowed. As we had no choice, we traveled. When we went to Singapore, the travel agent there was really unprofessional, never on time, keeps changing driver, lack of communication, sometimes we had to return paying taxi. Concerning the packages both Singapore and Malaysia - the price we paid was not worth it. For such expensive package- we were sent to visit museum , chocolate shop, feeding monkey on roads, most places were free of charge and very tiring as had to wait a lot. They fave us the most low costs places for a luxury package. Secondly many days we were left for 1 to 4 hours to places we had to pay ourselves to do activities. Some places were so boring that we had to leave from there by ourselves. They have charged us a lot for useless and cheapest things. The Van we were traveling as well was not worth the price. The staff told us we have to do more days Malasia as there was no flight. Again to our surprise, we came to know there is 1 week holiday there, she never told us. This was a big problem for us as everywhere was overcrowded, and too many free day . We even skip breakfast at Malaysia due to poor quality & varieties I wished more details was given. Agreed they have to make a profit but not like this I when will never book from shamal. Was traveling after 3 years, this was our worst experience ever. I have wasted my money .

To whom it may concern. We believed to have a break with the family on the occasion of our 15th wedding anniversary to Rodrigues from 28th Oct to 1st Nov but it wasn't the case. 1. We requested to have a communicating room with our kids aged 14 and 9 years old but the hotel didn't receive this information from Shamal as such they were in a different block than ours it was on the next day that they finally moved to a room next to us. It was not the service we paid for. 2. Our departure flight was scheduled on MK127 at 14:00 on 01.11.20 but you know what this flight was cancel by Air Mauritius since the 14th October and no one dare to inform us that we were schedule on a flight at 11:30 on 01.11.20, just imagine our stress when we reach the airport around 11:45 and that Air Mauritius told us where we were!!! For everyone in the airport even the crew made us feel as if we were at fault! Finally we embarked on a flight at 14:15 and it was only at 13:30 that we were made aware that we will be able to fly. We embarked at 14:10 with a big stress as such we requested to have a compensation. Mail sent since a week, Up to now NO response from Shamal!

Dont deserve any star. It's been 2 years I'm trying to get a refund. The agent Sazia is never available on the phone and she is not even replying to my emails. Very poor customer service and unprofessional. I will NOT recommend this travel agency.

Good and cheap package deals. They will happily tailor a package to your personal need. Although some of their employers can somewhat be a hassle to deal with(forget to callback, late replies, etc), they do get the job done. I assume its because they are busy with work bulk. I always ask for Shazia to handle my travels, she's the best there as far as I know..

Not impressed. We visited their office four weeks ago requesting a seven night package to Reunion. After many calls requesting a call back, we eventually got an email with just a price for five nights and no cost breakdown. We replied, saying how disappointed we were and did not hear again. Worst service we have every had.

The experience with shamal is really great. there is a girl name Monisha. Great personality. Outstanding profesionalism and great customer care as well. She took care of everything and i did not have to worry about absolutely nothing. I would really recommend same..

Great experience booking with Shamal Travels for my Dubai trip. As someone who spent most of his time abroad i can confirm that Mauritian customer at some places are terrible like Blue Sky for instance who i called to inquire about a flight ticket to Dubai. The woman on other other line was rude, uninterested and unprofessional to say the least. I then called Shamal Travels and Monisha who i spoke to was the complete opposite of my Blue Sky experience! I haven't been in the country for too long but i can definitely confirm she showed an immaculate level of customer service with great professionalism, care and understanding! Everything went smoothly as it should be and i would definitely recommend them to everyone who is travelling. Just do yourself a favour and don't call Blue Sky!

Very nice experience. We bought our tickets to Istanbul and cappadocia and dubai there and the person who did everything for us is Saadiyah. She is very patient, kind and we were able to get in touch with her anytime. Furthermore the office is very clean, neat and cosy. Everyone is well mannered and always greet us when we go there. During the last leg of our trip a small confusion had arisen on the timing of our flight but it was quickly attended to. So, even during your trip, rest assured, if something does go haywire, it will be quickly attended to.

Recently planned a trip to Dubai through Shamal Travels and was very satisfied with the service offered. Service obtained was very good up to ticket purchase and travel insurance and then my flight got delayed and I didn't receive any notification from Travel agent. Tried to contact them several times without success and eventually had to sort it out myself directly with the airline. Then wanted to extend my stay whilst on holidays and contacted travel agent but they never replied to my messages meaning that I missed the opportunity to stay longer. Now trying to claim expenses via travel insurance as a result of flight delay and again having no response from travel agent as travel insurance was purchased through them. Conclusion: As soon as issues started to occur and I really needed them to assist, they were nowhere to be seen and for that reason I wouldn't recommend them as I may as well have done all my arrangement myself online. Very dissatisfied customer.

They tried on customer service in shop. Well waited long for nothing. Waiting for a quote from them since months. So overall either u shop online or dnt bother them at all.
