Picturesque little harbour with nice little park and views to mountains and the sea. However, if you end up having to wait for a long period to check in bags (yes you have to check them in), there is little to do. The ships are nice, but beware of the sea. We were pretty sick on transit to Praslin.

Cat Cocos is the primary Inter Island Operator in the Seychelles traversing frequently between the three major islands i.e Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. They have top class ships with good air conditioning and less vibrations at highs seas..so you dont feel sea sickness over shorter inter island journeys. Time Taken from Mahe to Praslin: Approx 1 Hours Cost of Ferry Ticket one way: 40-45 Euros* for Coco de Mer Class Time Taken from Praslin to La Digue: Approx 30 Minutes Cost of Ferry Ticket one way: 17-20 Euros* * Return Tickets will come cheaper. However, they are valid for same day return. This saves money for La Digue Single day tours. Just besides the Ticket Counter, at Mahe, Jetty, Cat Cocos has a baggage collection/Check-IN counter. You can deposit your luggage at the counter and roam around the Jetty Area freely; they will take care of the loading/unloading part. Note: There is also a restro-pub in the jetty area, where we bought some bottles of Mineral Water and had our breakfast. There are two snack joints right behind the Ticket counter complex, in case you’re looking for a quick bite.

Very good service and warmly helful Online booking is very easy and the comfirm system is quick. The day I took the ferry from Mahe to Praslin, the staff was very supportive. Due to the traffic jam, I arrived at the wharf only minutes before time. While the car we rent was parking in and handed over to the car rental staff, I ran insite to tell Cat Coco that we had come and asked for 5 minutes, one guy said you only had 2 minutes, I rushed back to the car to get things, followed by a nice tall lady with Cat Coco's uniform, and without hesitation picked up my suitcase (the biggest) and brought it inside, where another woman already bring our boarding tickets (need change from you confirm ticket online to ticket at the teminal) stand in front office, and after a quick discussion, they agreed to allow us to bring our belongings on board immediately, no need to enter the scanning room (it will take a few more minutes). Love you guys so much! Visit February 2020

Very punctual and professional staff. Today the ocean was quite rough with the 3-4m big waves. After the first 15 mins the first passengers started feeling seasick and puking. At around the middle of the journey it became the worst, more and more passengers started puking and the staff was running to pick up full bags and hand in new ones. On the front side of the boat around 70% of people puked at least once. My personal tips for making it through without the need for seasickness bags 😊: eat little and light things for breakfast and eat well in advance, the best seats are in the middle, and the best advice - take good earphones, you will need it once people start VERY loudly puking. All in all I didn't find it that scary as I expected based on hearing experiences from other people.

Edit: Have to change the review from 5 to 3 stars, as the way back to Mahe was horrifying, to me as well as to other passengers (upper deck). After 15-20 minutes I had to vomit due to the waves and in total about 10-15 other passengers. Luckily the staff was readily equipped with vomit bags and napkins. This time was completely different to the ride from Mahe where staff had been watching for nobody to take off their masks even for a second. On this ride nobody had to wear a mask for the obvious reason and staff were observant of people starting to look sick. Props to them! 10 minutes before reaching Mahe I had to throw up again. My suggestion: Come with an empty stomach and take 1-2 travel sickness pills, or fly between Praslin and Mahe. Original Review: Pricey but one of the better ferry experiences I’ve had in the tropes. How to: - Bought tickets online at seychellesbookings.com - No need to print out the tickets even though they mention it everywhere! - Where it says „Departure“ go right across the street to the small entrances, first to where the sign says „Creole“, where you get a „real“ ticket - Second, 2-3 doors next is entrance where it says “Cat Cocos” to drop off your luggage. - We departed 10:30 Monday morning. People started queuing up at 9:30. At 10:00 there was already a huge queue. - Ferry departed almost on time, and took 1 hour 10 min to Praslin. We went to La Digue. No need to change ferries, and luggage will also be checked through to final destination. - After a 20 min stop in Praslin it took another 25 min to reach La Digue (The trip itself is short but it takes some time to park the ferry). You don’t have the exit the ferry or even stand up. - Departure 10:37, Arrival 12:22 No one was throwing up or looked sea sick (upper deck), unlike many reviews here point out.

Watch out! I booked Tickets online and they charged my credit card twice but only got one ticket. It was their „mistake“ not mine. To me it seems like they do this on purpose sometimes. I talked to people in their office and filed a report. Nothing happened. I sent and received about 20 emails. Nothing happened. It’s been almost three months now and I didn’t get a penny back. This is fraud. Would not recommend using their service to anyone!

The ferry is fast, however the positive notes end here. As you can imagine, being a fast ferry means a lot of people get sick and in addition, the owners decided to make sure you're as uncomfortable as possible, so they chose to add the worst chairs on the market. 1.5h of continuous shaking, vomiting and a terribly set AC system. But it's fast!

Violent seas, unsafe driving by captain, everyone was sea sick and screaming and holding on for dear life. My hands were bruised for days after from holding onto the seat rails so hard and aggressively being smashed with every wave we hit. This ferry service should never run in such volatile conditions and are just a disgusting money hungry company putting people’s lives at risk like that. Has even set my husband off from ever taking a ferry again, it was such a genuinely traumatizing experience.

You need to drop the big suitcases at the office next to the jetty.Taxi from the airport costs about 40€ or 600SCR.Make sure you'll get some motion sickness tablets before the trip!!!

The staff inside the catamaran are really rude and very young to hold this responsibility! We had a really bad experience with these kids, they have an issue with communication with the customers. It is not right to say bad stuff for clients on board after the departure of the boat! If I knew they are rude kids, I would have booked a private fast boat instead of staying more than one hour on a boat with very unreliable staff. I am sorry to say that, but this will be my last time on board with this company!

Our boat transfer with CatCocos was fine. We got lucky with weather, no mass vomitarium was happening. Keep in mind it is the sea which rules, the boat always moves in various directions even if it is nice, sunny and not windy, so weak stomach of inland tourist can get tested anytime. Fresh air on upper deck may create some difference, especially if the boat is full of sweaty people. One thing worth improvement would be luggage off loading. People are like herd of cattle and everyone wants his luggage quickly. This leads to people who spot their lovely baggage first to push through the others still waiting in the lines. Perhaps a bit larger drop off area would be nice, but it is understandable the crew does not want to haul tons of bags all over the molo.

I recently took the jetty from Mahe to Praslin Island and I was thoroughly impressed. The ride was smooth and the scenery was breathtaking. The staff were friendly and helpful, observing everyone and supporting anyone feeling sea sick... making the experience even more comfortable and caring. I highly recommend this jetty to anyone looking to travel between the two islands and way back... 5 stars all around!

Fast and efficient service between Victoria Praslin an La Digue. Waves were a bit choppy but overall the trip out was good. Coming back in the evening wasn't so great as there were several passengers who were sea sick. I would recommend sitting facing forward near the front. Praslin terminal is very picturesque. Beautiful harbour.

The most appealing service. We had booked business tickets, only to be told they hadn't got through and the ferry was now fully booked. It is not our fault that their booking system does not work. In the end, thanks to the company we had booked through, we did get normal seats on the ferry we had originally booked, but we did not get a refund nor any excuse. The administration of the company should all be replaced.

We would recommend this ferry. The staff was super helpful! Many people were throwing up on our ride coming back to Mahe around 4:30, waves are much rougher than the morning and they were so helpful and very alert. We recommend sitting to the back if you are likely to get seasick and/ or take some sea sick pills! It’s no joke…. But it’s worth the ride!! Very good price, organized, on time and kind staff!

The only transport between the islands that I’m aware of. Pricy, but it has an air conditioned “business class” you can book. The website has been updated and you can buy tickets for the same day - however it does warn you that you have to buy it 48 hour in advance. You can also by pass that by buying the ticket at the dock assuming they have the space. My advice book in advance - they fill up fast.

Good, timely and prompt service. We heard some negative reviews and were skeptical before but our experience was quite good with them. No hassle, they were very professional and made our journey as good as it was possible from their end even when the ocean was extremely rough.
