Great restaurant in the heart of Beaufort west. Staff are very friendly and service was great. Food was even better and definitely recommend the springbok pie for people that want to try something a little different

What a gem. If you are looking for good Karoo food, this place must be on your list. Karoo Lamb Loin chops. A single burger able to beat the hunger (you can get a double as well). Pulled Lamb toasted sandwiches. Simply mouth watering. Best seat was the one looking over the dam. Give 'em a go.

Exceptional!! The food... the staff!! I hope the owners are aware or the gems of people they have in the restaurant!! Thank you so much... i needed a spot to work and the ladies were sooo kind, helping me find a quiet corner. Friendly smiles, super helpful, the food is fantastic. We usually eat plantbased..but decided to have the lamb options available and man the quality is ....uitstekend!! Keep up the good work!! We will be back!!

Nice stop on the N1 route, the deli has most interesting stuff and souvenirs. We had coffee, milkshakes, 0% alcohol beer, 😊 meaning I could still drive without any worry, and milktart which was really nice. Digs are welcome and we had a really great break from the long road back to Gauteng.

The quality of the meat in the restaurant was undoubtedly high, but the way it was cooked was a disappointing disaster. Lamb shank was tough and chewy, lamb loin was served as hard chops. The spinach was creamy and tasty, the sauces were great- food is definitely overpriced. The restaurant was empty, but there were a lot of noisy employees. The convenience store downstairs has lovely range of local products including spices, sauces, home ware and souvenirs.

I live this farm stall. It is massive with a wide variety of funny products (Rof Mooi underpants and doctor socks), gift bowls, leather bags, a range of meat products (and sheep head), toys for children, spoils for a lady and gent, bathrooms products, braai tools, etc.

Made the mistake of ordering a burger instead of lamb chops - cant mark down the review because of my own poor choices! The burger patty was tasty but very much overcooked, the vibe however was festive and the staff are super friendly. From what I heard all the lamb dishes are amazing. The toilets could do with a little cleaning and sprucing up. Next time I pass through this way I will definitely have the chops

Wow wow wow. What a great lunch. This burger was delicious. A wonderful variety to choose from. With prices being g reasonable for the great quality of food that you get. As you enter the establishment, there is a lovely gift shop

Had an amazing dinner here tonight. Lamb is absolutely the best. Lemon meringue was so good my husband recon he could eat 5 of them. Service by Magda was 5 star! If you stay or pass through eat here.

Tried this place out as we wanted to have real karoo lamb chops. Happened to be owned by same family who owns Cape Karoo guesthouse where we stayed. It's at the Caltex garage as 1 heads out of Beaufort West towards Joburg It's a pretty simple place up the stairs past the shop and Vida e Caffe The chops were very nice and it was a healthy portion, it is rather pricey though. It was our treat while on holiday

Not a bad little spot for a meal when traveling through Beaufort. Phone ahead and try get a spot by the window, overlooking the dam. Obviously, their speciality is lamb ;)

Comprehensive menu. Decent food and well-priced. Excellent service from Nathan. Ample secure parking. Situated right next to Caltex garage. The shop downstairs is unfortunately overpriced.

Clean and comfortable venue with a great Karoo view from the windows. The place is airy and cool on an otherwise hot day. Service is efficient and friendly. Great food and drink options available. Had the Karoo curry with mash and it was very delicious. Prices are fair. Offers efficient takeaway service.

Very nice atmosphere restaurant upstairs and down stairs. Child friendly. Food big portions and good quality. Wheelchair friendly. Bathroom is neat and tidy and clean. Also a gift shop with nice different gifts. Vida Cafe for a quick stop and a take away and a shop for snacks.

This unassuming little restaurant is at the Caltex Garage above the Gift Shop but don’t let the location put you off - basic decor, limited wine list, nice views over the dam but seriously excellent food and brilliant service - gorgeous lamb shank, lamb loin and lamb burger accompanied by a rather lovely and slightly chilled Pinot Noir - this is a definite gem with true Karoo flair - give it a try 👍 you won’t be disappointed On a side note, the gift shop has some really lovely and unusual decor and gift items

There simply are not enough stars to rate this restaurant, their food is absolutely divine and their service is fantastic, the staff are friendly. The menu is great and you pay for what you get, simply not a cent wasted when visiting this lovely restaurant.

One of the few places in the area open for dinner at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. The lamb was excellent. We had the karoo lamb shank with mashed potato which just fell off the bone and melted in the mouth. The Karoo lamb curry with rice and the karoo lamb patty with salad. The lamb was fantastic quality and flavour. The heat in the curry was low for our taste buds, but they served us a super spicy chilli sauce when we asked for it and just 2 drops of that sauce totally transformed the dish. They had a lot of interesting dishes on the menu, but after driving in the heat and the air conditioning not being powerful enough to make a difference, we just wanted quick and easy to eat dinner. We picked up some condiments from their store and I've opened the sweet mustard to eat - its fantastic. I've yet to open the olives and relishes. The store below sells frozen lamb, but I didn't want to risk it in the heat to bring it back to Joburg.

What a bad service recived today at this resturant! Brocken pepper lid fell on my meal..the waiter took messy egg after battle n bring what was left over and I had to clean the mess too!

What yummy food. I had the leg of lamb, it was soft and juicy. The curry was very nice as well. Staff was friendly.

Incredible place. Tasty, carefully prepared food. Apparently the lamb is the best (I didn't have, as we were there for breakfast). Adorable curio shop as well. A must-visit.
