For a overnight budget hotel, I was very impressed. Everything was super clean, the sheets smelled nice and service was very friendly. Great work! Please keep it up.

It's alright for a quick stop over, just to rest and have a shower. Rooms were clean bedding was newly changed.

Look you are not paying for a 5 star resort. The rooms are clean and the service is friendly. The toilet could have been cleaner and there was a rusty mark in the shower. Also note that the hotel is opposite a very noisy bus depot and petrol station. This is not a problem if you sleep with the windows closed but if you want fresh air, be warned it will be noisy till late. Nonetheless, this is a good cheap option for a weary traveller. It had everything I needed.

Stayed over in December for one evening. The room was clean and neat, we had no issues with the room. Parking was ample, a caravan and trailer will easily fit overnight, however there is no gate to assist with safety. A security guard is on patrol at night to protect vehicles. overall the experience was better than expected. The town itself, not much to do. eat take away and move along swiftly.

Cheap and convenient. If you are just looking for a quick sleepover without any extras, this is the place to go. Rooms are basic. Bed and basin with a shower and toilet. That is all.

It was for an overnight stop. Affordable and I expected nothing more for what I paid. The room was extremely clean, smelled very fresh, so awesome job from their cleaning staff! Reception staff was friendly, especially the lady who helped over the telephone (Precious was her name if I recall correctly). Only area of improvement I can mention is the checking in process. I booked and paid online, but it took about 20 mins to check in. It was only us, but I guess the admin is necessary. Maybe work on that process for an even better experience.

First of all on hour then 30 mins before checkout time they came and told us we must leave on time. Even though the hotel was empty. It is just okay at best. It has seen better days

A great low budget Hotel.

The room we booked was too small and felt very crowded for two people including our hand luggage. The bunk bed is a hazard climbing up or down the steep steel ladder which is very awkwardly placed. The bathroom is a nightmare because if one has a shower every where there's water including the toilet pan which gets wet. I will definitely not overnight here again.

Terrible experience at Sun1 and will never stay there or recommend to anyone I know, while I was waiting at the reception after checking out I was told I'm not a guest anymore and I must leave I tried to explain that I was waiting to be picked up as I had big luggage but the lady didn't want to hear anything. Very disappointing attitude from the lady whom I think she was the manageress. A horrible experience indeed I traveled a lot and it was the first time that I came across that kind of experience. I travel a lot as tour operator doing site inspections what the lady did was totally a sad story to hospitality industry, for just sitting and waiting at the reception after staying overnight after my car broke down and forced me to get accommodation was very brutal and insensitive.

I wish i read all these reviews before hand. The service at the counter was good but the room is self is not great at all. We found a dead cockroach on the top bunk bed the shower doesn't even have a shower head and hasn't been cleaned for some time.

The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because if the room rates. For R450 a night you cant expect much, but 1 towel for a 3 person room, no WiFi (well there is, but you pay extra) and a shower/toilet combo that is less than desirable. A TV with SABC channels only isnt the worst thing in the world but after a long drive you'd like the kids to settle down and watch something while you get ready for the night, but dont even bother with the TV as the sound didn't work anyway... As I said, its budget accommodation at it's best, if at best at all. If you're looking for a bed only while passing through to CT or JHB and dont expect much, then this is your place.

Unpleasant experience. The owner shouted at the workers in the presence of guests. She also didn't bother to welcome or greet the guests. The workers themselves invaded the space of guests. There is no one to look after the cars . Anyone could access the area where the cars were parked.
