This is quite feel good and quick hike when you dont have much time and also enjoy the sunrise or sunset with amazing views of lions head, gardens and camps bay…will take 1-1.5 hr for return hike and have some good inclination to burn the calories. I generally go with kids and family or when time is the key. I have done it many times and still love like i loved first day. Its a good try for beginners. Parking is also not a concern for this hike at the start.

The Kloof corner is a refreshing trail with scents that will encapsulate you. The variety of wild plants within the fynbos makes the hike more enjoyable. It was a perfect trial on a terrible day. A couple of friends and I went after a long day of work for some fresh air however the mist made it hard for us to get to the top and we wanted to avoid any possible risks. The hike up should be 30 minutes which we had hoped for it to be perfect. The night city view was enhanced by the white mist that covered it only allowing a section to peep through. Lovely experience overall really quick. I can't wait to do it again.

This is an amazing place for sunset! Just a few things to check in order to have the best experience: * Better to come by car if you are planning to watch the sunset from here. The starting point is close to the city by car, but we had a very hard time trying to get an uber after the sunset and walking back to the city during the night was not fun at all! * the hike is short and easy, but there are plenty of steps so allow at least 30 minutes to make sure you can make it to the top at a comfortable pace * the golden hour here is stunning! I suggest coming about 1h20 -1h30 before the sunset starts if you like to just sit down, enjoy a snack and fascinating views * since the hike is very easy, I would recommend taking some snacks and even some drinks with you! We saw people drinking gin&tonic, champagne, a glass of wine… it feels really nice and relaxing! * don’t forget to put on sunscreen! Even though it is sunset, the UV is very high in Cape Town!

Gorgeous. Super easy walk. Picnic. Light sweat. 25 minutes. Bring a bottle of wine. Your dog. And children. Watch a beautiful sunset for an hour.

Feeling outdoorsy? The Kloof Corner is definitely the hiking trail for you! It's a teaser to what Table Mountain and the surrounding areas has to offer. Once you've reached the top, turn right and head to the beacon. You've arrived and basically climbed half way up the mountain. From here you can the contour path as you came up the steps to your left. We usually hike up to the Platteklip gorge info Board and double back to Kloof Corner. It's mostly flat. Mostly. It's about a 4km loop. Platteklip Gorge will take you right up the Mountain to the restaurant up top. Breakfast is not included but don't let that stop you. Breakfast & beer is optional to recharge for the route back down. Taking the Cable car back down is also optional. May the first steps on the Kloof Corner inspire courage and perseverance in you. You're about to ascend a 450 year old mountain. And, Table Mountain is the only terrestrial feature to give its name to a constellation: Mensa, meaning The Table. The constellation is seen in the Southern Hemisphere, below Orion, around midnight in mid-July. It was named by the French astronomer Nicolas de Lacaille during his stay at the Cape in the mid-18th century.[50]

I really thought this would be super intense as I am not one for fitness and I haven't done a hike in 2 years. Last was Lions head of which is super intense. This is manageable. Intense but manageable. Views are worth it.

Amazing sunset viewpoint that only takes a short rocky staircase to get to. Approximately 20-30 minute walk to the top, overlooking Camps Bay.

An amazing spot to see the sunset! A bit of a trail walk up a bit of the mountain. It offers a very good overview of the Cape Beach. Point to note: after the sunset, the route back down will getting darker and dimmer. Make sure you have a touch with you. And uneven ground cause the pavement may have more than expected big pebbles.

Nice for a quick hike and a rewarding view! Not that strenuous, but it’s just steps the entire time so you really get your cardio in. Beautiful sunset spot :)

Quite an amazing place with great views of the city and lions head. The walk up is simple but you can also take the path below the cable car up and a short flat walk to reach this place.

An excellent spot for viewing the sunset, and for a marvelous view of the city. Not as busy as Lion's Head, which is a huge plus in my opinion. Short but sweet, with a lovely crux at the tail end haha

Kloof Corner is a beautiful hiking trial with amazing veiws. The hike up is slighty steep in some places but manageable. It about a 30 minute hike up.

A great little route that's easy to get to, offers excellent views, feels like you're out of the city within minutes, and is an excellent choice for building uphill hiking stamina. The well-maintained, uphill path is densely surrounded by protea bushes. It winds towards the city in some stretches with views over city, sea and of Devil's Peak; and towards Camps Bay at other times with views of Lion's Head, Atlantic seaboard beaches, and the 12 Apostles. There are a number of steps intermittently along the way, and the final ascent to The Corner is a climb of about 200 stairs. Expect it to take around 15min from Tafelberg Road to The Corner if you're moving at a fast, fit, steady pace without stopping; up to 30-40min if you're moving leisurely/stopping often.

Kloof corner starts with the most fantastic meandering switch backs that are suitable for almost anyone. The child-friendly walk can be linked to several descents and is a go-to morning walk/hike. There is a hidden five star extension on Kloof corner named Kloof Corner Ridge which I will not specify the location of. The reason I am mentioning it is that Kloof Corner Ridge is something to add to your bucket list. Not to do alone or with a couple friends but with a really experienced guide. Kloof corner has seen quite a number of casualties due to its accessibility, dangerous cliffs and volatility due weather changes. I don't usually reiterate myself but Kloof Corner Ridge should NEVER BE ATTEMPTED WITHOUT A GUIDE. I hope to add value and clarity with this review on what is safe to do alone on Kloof Corner and what is well worth doing with the assistance of experienced guides. If you are keen to do Kloof Corner Ridge I can link you up with some of the best guides in the country :)

Short but challenging hike, better than stepping on a machine in the gym! I like to go up Kloof Corner (on Tafelberg Road) and then walk along Table Mountain and down the steps at the cable station. The trail is usually quite popular and visibility is good, so I've always felt safe while hiking.

Incredible experience, beautiful views, and a good, maintained trail way. The incline is fairly tough, and definitely not for someone who is out of shape. I would take the trail again in a second!
