The geust house is one of the nicest geust houses that i have visited. Reception and staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay wondefull. Very nice breakfast was provided. The room was clean and enviting. There is aircons, wifi and dstv available. The grouds is well kept and security gates and fences let you feel safe during the night. A pool is also available should you wish to cool off.

Beautiful place for an overnight stay , excellent service and food is great

Expected better for R1000 a night. No hand towels, lumpy pillows, one tea bag, some coffee sachets, but no milk, and a badly leaking shower door - so much so that a huge puddle had formed on the floor of the tiny bathroom. Better value can be found for much less rands.

The service is dropping!!! My experience has been terrible. This morning at breakfast I was advised that there is no juice available I must drink tea or coffe and I am not a tea or coffee person. The manager said she is on her way and never arrived. Let's just say that I'm not coming back here again😡

I sleep for years at the Old House..but unfortunately the standard of the geust house drop from 100 to 0...no tea facilities in the room..no juice for breakfast..we must argue with the receptionist for tea in the room.. even the receptionist must wait for order to approve for the grapetiser instead of juice... unfortunately I'm sorry never come back

Stop over from Durban. This place is 5.5 hours from CT. Lovely old house with lotsa character. Staff were exceptional and went out of their way for us. Sorry, we had no cash to leave a tip in the overall vill.cant leave a tip on the card, which meant we would have to go into the town to draw cash which was an inconvenience to us. So no tip this time unfortunately 😕 perhaps management can arrange for these lively ladies to get their tip if put on to the card.

Was just a stop over. The team was great, food portions was small though. Never the less, we enjoyed the property, very central!

Fantastic place. We stayed over for 1 night on our way from Johannesburg to Cape Town. My husband and I couldn't get over how friendly the staff were and generally the people in Beaufort West! Lovely decorated room with fragrant lavender in a vase, very comfy bed with wonderfully cozy bedding. Room and en-suite bathroom were impeccably clean... We didn't get to enjoy the meals this time around, but the breakfast sure did smell good when we were checking out. Such good value for money!

Lovely rustic guest house with extremely friendly staff. . . . My partner absolutely loved their coffee, properly brewed to start your morning off with a bang . . . Also their showers are huge ladies

Totally disappointed. Booked overnight stay for December .Booked in November and paid in November. Cancelled booking in the time for a refund. Received acknowledgment for the full refund. To date I never received any refunds. All you hear is lies and more lies from agoda and the old house lodge .Michelle the Manager has been taught well to lie. Will never let any of my colleagues to stay at that place. Away at present. When I am back i will take it up with the tourism board.

Marketed as 4 star but far ftom it!!! Unreliable fluctuating wi-fi, poorly maintained, not that clean. Food terrible....dont have dinner. Bed was comfortable, staff pleasant but have no benchmark so no attention to detail...bulbs missing, one charging outlet hidden behind pedestal etc. Bathroom had smell like a cat had visited regularly.
