We love this diamond of a place ... it's old world charm...amazing. As An artist I appreciate Edith the owners talent and creativity so inspirational . Our overnight stay was extremely relaxing and peaceful we are definitely gonna be repeat offenders .Edith I leave my ❤️ here will return to fetch it soon

What a beautiful little oasis in the heart of Beaufort West. Spent two nights at the beginning and end of my road trip at Villa Contessa recently. Such a lovely experience - Edith and the doggies are so welcoming and warm - they make you feel right at home. The themed rooms are something to behold, and the place as a whole has a charm that is hard to explain. The rooms were comfy and had everything we needed - aircon, wi-fi, spacious showers, coffee/tea and even some home-made rusks and muffins. Will DEFINITELY make this my go-to overnight stop next time I find myself in this neck of the woods!

What a wonderfull place. We slept so nice and warm. Winter sheets on the bed ,aircon everything you need and much more. Lovely dinner, cooked to perfection. I will definitely recommend this place.

An absolute gem in Beaufort West! Everything is so welcoming and perfectly curated, the host is as accommodating as you could imagine, going the extra mile to make sure our pets are safe and all our needs are surpassed. Decorations and setting is stunning and every little detail is thought about. Simply nothing negative to say.

Wonderful place! We didn't stay here, but ate a lovely dinner. Owner is very friendly and knows how to cater for dietary restrictions (we got a multi-course vegan meal including dessert that tasted great and was reasonably priced). 10/10, would dine again.

What an eclectic ambience and decor.....simply transports one to a world of art and fantasy! Combined with Edith's warmth and care it's a private haven for the discerning soul!!

Stop over on trip to Cape Town. A welcoming oasis in the Karoo area. Edith is a charming hostess and the simple home style meal was well done and tasty. Definitely worth repeating.

Owner very kind, and friendly. Rooms where cleanish, but could use a little more attention when it comes to washing carpets and cabinet tops. Freddy mercury room doesnt have a proper bathroom curtain, so that does make one feel slightly uncomfortable. Pretty quite, and in a safe location. Loved how creative and open the space was, loved it

What a wonderful experience, an absolute artist dream. Our rooms were stunning, clean and fresh. Edith is a wonderful host and we felt welcome and at home since arrival. Our dinner was fabulous with the pumpkin fritters being the hit. Thank you Edith for a wonderful stay. We will most definitely come again. The Roux family.

Villa Contessa is a gem in Beaufort West! Edith was very welcoming, and it was a comfortable oasis to split our drive between Cape Town and Johannesburg. A huge plus for us was that it is pet friendly, and Edith and the other guests were very kind towards our young energetic dog! After settling in, Edith cooked us a delicious meal - we were so grateful not to have to venture out into the town after a long drive and to have a lovely home cooked dinner. The room was very comfortable and clean - we had a great night's rest. We will definitely be back, and have already recommended it to friends and family!

I had to overnight somewhere when there was a family medical drama. This is a really great place to stay - friendly, characterful, good food, Edith and the staff absolutely the best (and don't forget the dogs!). I'm telling everyone to do themselves a great favour and book in here.

Nice decor, comfortable and clean rooms. The owner also happens to be a very good cook and she can whip you up a delicious meal. She made an amazing veggie platter for me. Definately worth the stop.

Villa Contessa is an absolute gem hidden in Beaufort West. Gorgeous space, wonderful host, and top quality food. A destination in and of itself. Simply loved it!

I did not enjoy sleeping over there. The room was dark and small, and not even a chair in the room to sit and read. The dining area is outside so I did not even try that as it is way too hot in the summer. It is also right next to a busy road, so good luck sleeping.

Villa Contessa offered much more than we could ever have hoped for our overnight stay. After a long and taxing journey, Edith welcomed us to our beautiful room and a home cooked meal that we will always remember. Love that it's pet friendly too. Thank you Edith. Villa Contessa is a gem!

Loved listening to owner Edith's stories, and meeting her doggos! We were able to stay the night comfortable and having our cat with us wasn't a problem to them at all. Very cozy at a very attractive price! xx
