Fine
for
a
3
star
accommodation.
Good
points
include
nice,
clean
rooms,
fresh-smelling
towels
and
a
lovely
natural
area
around
the
back,
complete
with
a
pond
and
animals.
Food
recommendation:
the
braai
is
their
most
popular
option
when
staying
here,
it
looked
lovely.
We
had
lamb
shank,
which
was
great.
The
mash
was
also
nice,
but
avoid
the
vegetables
altogether,
unless
you
don't
mind
eating
a
huge
amount
of
crushed
garlic.
Management
can
do
more
to
be
attentive
to
guests
as
opposed
to
socialising
in
reception
with
other
staff.
Service
staff
are
lovely,
though,
and
they
try
to
make
the
atmosphere
comfortable,
although
they
also
follow
the
poor
example
of
management
by
joining
in
at
the
social
area.
Things
to
watch
out
for
when
booking:
*
parking
becomes
an
issue
when
the
guest
house
is
busy;
there
are
other
venues
around
that
can
accommodate
more
cars
far
more
comfortably
during
peak
times
*
if
arriving
later,
expect
the
doors
in
the
dining
area
to
literally
be
closed
around
you
at
8:00pm,
in
spite
of
the
booking
confirmation
notice
from
the
venue
specifying
the
dining
area
closing
time
to
be
9:00pm
*
the
last
and
most
notable
point:
when
I
confirmed
my
booking,
I
received
a
notice
that
a
deposit
may
be
deducted
from
my
card
before
arriving.
Noted
and
uncontested.
This
ended
up
being
the
full
amount,
two
days
before,
without
any
notice
or
my
consent.
That
is
unacceptable
and
will
see
me
warning
others
when
discussing
places
to
stay
in
the
area,
and
also
never
return.
****
I
didn't
take
photos
as
I
wasn't
initially
going
to
write
a
review.
That
said,
feel
free
to
put
my
review
to
the
test.
It
really
isn't
a
bad
stay,
but
hopefully
your
experience
is
more
pleasant
overall.***
