We stopped for lunch at Manna Restaurant, part of Williston Mall. We entered Williston, expecting another small Karoo village with indications of deterioration. Yes, no town in the South African countryside can totally escape the migration of people to the cities, but we were pleasantly surprised by Williston. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and we're 'greeted' by n busy, but clean and beautiful town. We stopped at Manna Restaurant, a beautiful oasis in the middle of the Karoo and enjoyed amazing food and incredible hospitality in a luscious setting. With the number of people making a stop at the restaurant on a Karoo Saturday afternoon this place is clearly popular and a firm favourite amongst the locals and those of us just passing through. We will be back.

Could not enter the place as you are supposed to make an appointment 24 hours in advance.

In a very small town to see a sign "Williston Mall" is a strange sign. It is a very unusual Mall. Visit this Mall to find out. Here you will get lost in your thoughts and memoirs. Here you will find junk and more junk and with every piece of junk your memories kicks into gear. You can enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal at the small restaurant. You can also rent rooms for a night or longer. Rooms are basic furnished but are comfortable and clean. Take your time and explore this Mall and the small town.

A very popular b&b en route from either CapeTown to Johannesburg or vice versa. Very friendly owner who rakes a keen interest in guests. Good breakfast offered.

This place is definitely not the usual experience, its so much more. Pieter and Elmari are such friendly and welcoming hosts. They really created a great experience and compliments this with hospitable extras. It is perfect for kids and larger groups as there is lots to do.

What an exciting and unusual experience. Definitely worth the visit. Very artistic and a lot of fun. Unfortunately I was very tired but would love to come back with a group of friends.

An unexpected gem to visit. Food was great and the lady kept the shop open even though I walked in just as she was closing.

Went to Manna restaurant and had the best pizza ever in this nondescript town. We had the noem noem pizza, lots of toppings on this thin, crisp perfectly baked pizza base. Don't be in a hurry because it was so worth the wait.

Absolute gem in the picturesque town of Williston! The accommodation and entertainment is carefully designed and brought together with creativity and passion. The owners are exceptional hosts. The accommodation is suitable for every traveler single, groups, family, kid and pet friendly. When traveling through Williston be sure to add this to your to do list or stay over list as an absolute must!

Heard about the place from a friend and thought to travel a different route from the South to Gauteng with Williston as first stopover. What a magical place. It would be impossible to explain in words - you have to see it for yourself. Pieter is an amazing artist and host, most friendly you can imagine, and the place is really a one of a kind experience. To be recommended any day. Glad we stopped. Excellent oasis for kids. You won’t regret it.

It's always closed. Yet the sign says open 6 days a week.. when you call then you must make appointment for next week to go the the pub because they are closed..

Not the normal B&B. You need a specific taste to appreciate this setup. A once-off visit wil be worth while. The hosts are very friendly.

Last year had an awesome time. We wanted to stop now and you have to pay an entrance fee. It should be called " the lonely mall " We went to Manna restaurant and had a scrumptious meal

We came from Harrismith in the Free State and was very disappointed to see that we had to book a day in advance to visit the mall. No problem with paying the R20 entrance but could not visit. A day waisted.

Quirky little spot, filled with trinkets and interesting pieces. We enjoyed exploring the property, only stayed one night. The only negative point was the shower, it had the worst shower head and the water pressure was barely there.

Kind owners, good food, a gift shop and so much to see. The rooms are proper and I personally enjoyed my stay. Definitely recommend.
