Best ever gyro and Cuban sandwiches! I ordered a gyro and my husband ordered a Cuban. (I once had a Cuban down in Miami and did not care for it.) Derek’s Cuban Sandwich has the tenderest pork and most delicious lemon sauce! The gyro was huge, with tender and tasty roasted meat! The baklava was to die for! Flaky crust, not too sweet, just perfect! We will make a visit to Dereks at Coastal Produce a must see stop every time we visit the Lowcountry!

Since we were in Summerville again, we knew we wanted to grab a sandwich at Derek's, right behind Coastal Produce. The woman who works there is always so friendly and nice at this very popular local place. There are many people who call their order in and come pick it up, so there's a steady flow of customers. There are a bunch of picnic tables at the back of the parking lot and under the trees, so large groups can eat here. The sides are all fantastic and made fresh. Pure comfort food- potato salad, Cole slaw, and macaroni salad are our favorites. On this visit, we got our favorite gyros, served with a pineapple ring and a side. The gyros are tasty, fresh, and warm, made to order, with a good amount of meat and cheese. Highly recommend. 4.8 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best club sandwich and macaroni salad I’ve ever had! The customer service was amazing, they were so friendly. I enjoyed the meal in the shade at the produce stand after purchasing a mum. It was the perfect Fall day!

The staff is very friendly. The presentation was awesome. I had the classic club. It was kind of pricey but worth it for the quality that you get at this sandwich shop. I definitely will be going back. Next time I think I'll try the Gyro

What can you say when the sandwich is so good you want to come back again? The original club was VERY good. Produce stand has some fresh and good vegetables. Boiled peanuts smelled amazing so we had to get some for later.

Derek’s was good, but I kind of expected to have my socks knocked off since it had 4.9 stars at the time of this review. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good turkey and Swiss on sourdough, but it wasn’t quite worth writing home about. I would come again if I was in the area and wanted a fresh bite, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way

Not bad. Website says to call ahead for better service, so I did. After waiting 15 minutes in line I received my food which was sitting on the counter waiting. The gyro wasn't bad bit definitely had some burnt places on the meat.

super friendly staff!!! nice location in Summerville. got an amazing gyro with macaroni salad as a side! very delicious. can't wait to try something else on the menu!
