If you are looking for a roadside joint that makes killer sandwiches, look no further. The “Large” is a meal for 3 people. Fresh, yummy and as good as it gets!! Worth the trip!e

Went for my second visit. I introduced myself, and my ladies gave me their names as I will frequent this location while I am in Beaufort. Molly, Jamie, and Ronette treated me like royalty. They went out of their way to make me feel at home. I had the Salvation, it is the way to go! Delicious. This is Beauforts Iconic sandwich shop. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed. It's nothing fancy but very good.

Absolutely delicious. I got a medium sandwich with potato salad and half the sandwich was left over to eat later. Ladies was super nice and friendly!! Awesome local dive!

Atmosphere is relative because, well, it’s Alvin Ord’s. You stand in line to order and there probably isn’t seating for more than a dozen inside and out. Part of the charm. Damn fine sandwiches. Unlike anywhere else. Order a salvation if it’s your first time.

Stopped while we were out driving. Got The salvation, it was very good. Food and service great. Prices were good also. Not to busy. Would recommend if looking for a quick good sandwich. Bread is homemade.

My goodness! This sandwich will make you smack your mama and papa! The bread is delightfully homemade and the flavor profile of the Salvation is A1! I ordered it all the way, added extra mayo. Their lunch specials are well worth it and delicious. Do yourself a favor and go to Alvin Ord's.

I got the Beaufort Philly and a Taco Salad and it was amazing! I already ate the sandwich so I couldn't post it, LOL! This was my first time eating there and it reminded me of a New York sandwich shop, their sandwiches are authentic❤️❤️❤️

Tried this for the first time today. I ordered the medium Rueben, and I have to say it was outstanding !! Best sandwich I’ve had in a very long time. Will definitely be back for more.

These sandwiches are awesome. They are packed with high quality meats and cheeses. You get a choice of fresh baked french or whole wheat bread. My first time there I asked the person behind the counter. She recommended french. It is so good I have not been tempted to try the whole wheat. Yesterday my wife and I were in the area with free time around noon so we both got "The Salvation". We both took half of it home for lunch today. Someday I am going to have to try what would normally be my favorite sandwich; the 'Club'. My wife would usually go with 'The Reuben'......maybe next time

Best sandwiches in town! The turkey on French has the perfect crust. This place is a must have when visiting here! Very nice people.

It is a good sandwich shop. Large selection. Don't cheat on quantity of ingredients. Choice of round wheat or French bread, homemade. Line can be long so is best to phone in order and eat there or take away. Worth trying. Went there again. Really good sandwich and filling, also pickles are worth buying one extra. I hate tipping counter workers.

Always delicious!! They had me in and out pretty fast. The patio was shady and had a nice breeze. If you haven't tried the turkey club you totally should!

So I grew up eating sandwiches from this fabulous restaurant and every time I visit my parents, I make it a point to stop by. This time the customer service was very disappointing. I ordered a small ham salvation and I was charged for a medium. When I informed the cashier about her mistake, she argued that I had ordered a medium. The sandwich I received was the size of a small. Management was nowhere to be found. It’s unfortunate that this behavior and miscalculation tainted my usual pleasant experience.

Not to be missed. Former residents of Beaufort introduced us to this small roadside restaurant with made-to-order sandwiches to enjoy and savor. People in our extended family coast to coast have Alvin' Ord's on their Must Go again list.

Great place for a quick lunch sandwich. Can get busy during the lunch rush but that is how you know the place is great!!! Had the Salvation both time I've been there and have had friends get the Rueben and the Club and we have all loved our sandwiches. Deffinately a place to out on your "go to" list.

Very good. The homemade bread was so good. It's a little hole in the wall place that the locals go to. We waited in line just to order but I would say it was worth it.

Great unique sandwiches!!! The bread is round and comes in three sizes. None of us could finish the mediums! Also, they make the meatball sandwich as soon as you walk in, as it will get too soggy if it has to be eaten later. They make their bread. Yum!!! Great little find. Not a ton of seating. We took ours home.

Cozy little family owned sandwich shop. The bread was awesome and even the small size sandwich was piled high with quality fixings. Outdoor covered patio was great for a nice lunch.

What can I say, except "YUMMY ". A O is the place to go for the best sandwich anywhere! We lived in Beaufort for years and now we are down in South Tampa Bay, Florida, so whenever we are back in town to visit family, Alvin Ord's is our first stop!

Absolutely wonderful sandwiches. Had the Philly and tasted the French dip. Both AMAZING! Great service with a smile too!

I always order the Beaufort Philly and it’s really good but today it was not so pleasant. The whole sandwich was dry the meat was very rubbery i even had them add mayo and it didn’t make a difference at all.

Been going here since I was a kid!!! The wife and I stop by every time we’re in town from Illinois! It’s a must have for us! We even get extra for the ride home and store it in the cooler with ice packs lol! It’s always delicious always fresh! Love this place a true staple of the Beautiful Beaufort area!

Fantastic local spot where their large is big enough for lunch and dinner! Love their bread and with how long they’ve been open, an established part of the community! Get the “Salvation”, you won’t regret it!

Delicious and reasonably priced! We sampled 3 different sandwiches: The Salvation, Reuben, and Bft Philly. All were great, but that seasoned steak on the Beaufort Philly is phenomenal! One bite and we were hooked. Tender and perfectly seasoned. Melts in your mouth. We will certainly be AO regulars while stationed here and will no doubt be craving it if we ever move away.
