I
really
wanted
to
like
this
place,
but
for
how
much
it
costs,
I
can't
say
a
whole
lot
of
good
things
about
it.
Yes,
it's
new
and
it's
in
an
up
and
coming
area
and
it's
quiet.
But
that's
basically
where
the
compliments
end.
Starting
with
moving
in,
I'm
disappointed
with
the
hideous
view
of
some
gross-looking,
rusty
buildings
from
my
apartment.
I
toured
three
different
apartments,
and
I
had
wanted
the
one
that
faced
the
park
across
the
street.
The
construction
quality
is
embarrassingly
bad.
Visible
shortcuts
can
be
found
all
over
the
place.
From
the
cheap,
misaligned
shades
on
the
windows,
to
the
mangled
light
switch
cover
in
the
bedroom,
to
the
trim
that's
not
even
straight
in
the
bathroom
beside
the
door.
While
the
kitchen
may
look
nice
in
the
pictures,
the
cabinets
are
made
of
very
cheap
feeling,
pressed-wood
materials,
like
you'd
expect
from
buying
a
piece
of
furniture
in
a
box
from
a
department
store.
Additionally,
my
dishwasher
was
not
functioning
when
I
moved
in.
After
reporting
so,
it
took
roughly
a
week
for
maintenance
to
look
at
it,
order
a
replacement
part,
and
put
it
in.
The
dishwasher
worked
for
a
few
weeks,
then
it
broke
again
and
leaked
all
over
the
place,
soaking
my
kitchen
rug
with
dirty
dishwasher
water.
Upon
looking
up
the
model
number
of
the
dishwasher
in
my
unit,
according
to
Lowe's,
it's
"regularly"
a
$559
dishwasher,
but
at
the
time
of
writing
this
review:
$379.
Seriously!?
You
are
getting
bottom
of
the
barrel
appliances
in
an
apartment
that
costs
more
than
four
of
these
dishwashers
right
now
PER
MONTH.
I'm
also
not
impressed
with
how
the
seemingly-lazy
property
manager
(who
apparently
left
now)
handled
this
situation.
After
the
second
incident
with
the
dishwasher,
they
finally
replaced
the
piece
of
junk.
You
would
think
that
they
could
do
the
absolute
bare
minimum
by
checking
to
see
if
the
apartment
is
in
good
condition
before
having
a
tenant
move
in
-
especially
when
the
building
is
new.
Then
they
seriously
told
me
I'd
get
a
whopping
$75
off
my
next
month's
rent
and
a
$75
gift
card
to
a
store
of
my
choice.
???
what
even
is
that?
First
of
all,
my
concerns
were
not
getting
a
pathetic
"discount"
on
rent
(...and
a
gift
card,
for
some
reason
-
I'm
guessing
because
I
mentioned
that
I
had
to
use
my
brand
new
bath
towels
to
clean
up
the
water
spill,
which
costed
me
more
than
$75
anyway),
but
the
expectation
is
that
if
I'm
paying
nearly
$2,000
for
a
750
sqft
apartment
in
Auburn
Hills,
it
should
have
a
flawless
living
experience.
Earlier
this
month,
my
allergies
were
giving
me
issues
so
I
checked
the
filter
in
the
furnace,
and
the
thing
was
BLACK
from
having
so
much
dust
in
it.
Absolutely
disgusting.
So
I
replaced
it
with
a
new
one
that
focuses
on
capturing
allergens
since
I
made
the
assumption
that
they
don't
change
the
filters
here.
Sure
enough,
I
check
my
email
to
see
that
they
were
replacing
filters
just
a
couple
weeks
after
I
had
replaced
it.
They
not
only
must
have
threw
out
my
brand
new
filter,
but
they
replaced
it
with
the
most
basic,
cheap-looking
filter
there
could
possibly
be,
which
looks
completely
and
utterly
useless
for
filtration.
Like,
how
does
someone
not
have
the
common
sense
to
think,
"huh
this
looks
brand
new.
I
probably
shouldn't
replace
this,
or
at
least
see
if
the
tenant
wants
me
to
leave
this
next
to
the
furnace."
Especially
when
the
previous
one
was
SOLID
BLACK
from
dust!
Management
does
not
display
any
sort
of
intention
on
caring
about
their
tenants'
experience
in
this
building,
according
to
my
experience,
and
this
is
unforgiveable.
I
wasn't
going
to
post
a
review
because
I
figured
I
had
just
gotten
wildly
unlucky,
but
this
is
what
happens
when
you
take
shortcuts,
sacrifice
tenants'
needs,
and
overcharge
for
rent,
and
cut
corners
at
every
possible
way.
Edit:
An
e-mail
has
now
been
distributed
to
tell
people
to
take
their
trash
all
the
way
out
to
the
dumpster
when
the
on-floor
trash
cans
are
full,
rather
than
hiring
enough
staff
to
check
the
trash
as
often
as
needed.
