I visited Fern for the first time for a meal on my birthday and I was not disappointed. The evening started with a warm friendly greeting and we were talked through the menu to give us an idea of how many plates to order. The food was fabulous! My favourite had to be the octopus and the Crown Prince squash. Our Waiter for the evening was Guillermo, his fun and enthusiasm helped make the evening. This is London dining in Croydon and just what we need.

We went last Friday for my birthday and had a really great experience. We were taken through the menu which is not the generic starter, main, dessert and advised to order 2-3 dishes each. We went for 6 in the end and they came out when ready. All of our dishes were great but highlights include the courgette flower and the Sirloin on the bone. The service was fantastic, we have frequently visited previously for cocktails and always had good experiences in the bar area and the restaurant was just as good (Shout out to Henry for checking in on us and never letting our glasses get empty!). Overall a brilliant birthday experience and will definitely return.

My partner and I had a delicious 5-course tasting menu at Fern on New Year's Eve. Every dish was delicious, the service was excellent, and the cocktails were fantastic, too.

The most wonderful new addition to Croydon. Service and food was exceptional, the sweet potato gnocchi was our favourite. Great reccomendation from our waiter and the most gorgeous aesthetics canโ€™t wait to come back!

Great addition to Croydon, amazing food, nice atmosphere, not too formal. We all loved the sweet potato with whipped feta, crab cakes, the broccolini and the market fish special. Also the margarita verde was a great cocktail, I would highly recommend that.

Most incredible food and the staff were so polite. Explained the menu and told us their recommendations. Vegan and vegetarian menu available. Cocktails made to perfection. Perfect place for adults needing time to switch off. Also doesnโ€™t feel like your in Croydon

Fancy place with some nice tasty dishes. There's quite a big disparity in the veggie and meat portions. The veggie portions are substantially bigger (for the dishes we tried). If I went again, I'd probably go for a veggie dish and then 2 meat dishes to complement it. The desserts were nice too. My wife is vegetarian and I would say those dishes were a lot more filling which is a pleasant surprise since veggie dishes are usually an afterthought at a lot of other places. The service was a good and it's a nice ambience, I'm just disappointed in the dish size disparity.

Croydon has its very own Ivy! But better! So, so glad we came across Fern. You wouldn't believe this was in Croydon, feels like a high end establishment in Central London (I'm not belittling Croydon btw, its just so different to what the restaurant scene currently offers). Staff are incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, even the chef popped out to ask if we were enjoying our meal. Food menu is aimed at sharing, I can highly recommend the meatballs, green lasagna, and crispy potatoes. Plus the orange/baileys bomb dessert. I particularly loved the fact the wine menu doesn't offer a pinot grigio so you're forced to be adventurous and experiment (not that I order PGs btw). Designed incredibly qell. Has live music on Thursdays, and a DJset on Saturday nihhts. This place isn't cheap, but I didn't mind the ยฃ70+ a head price at all (maim course, shared dessert, cocktail, sparkling water, half bottle of wine and service). WILL BE GOING BACK!!

This is definitely my go to place in Croydon! Highly recommend the Hugo Spritz, lamb ribs and sweet potato. Amazing atmosphere, chilled vibe, the service isnโ€™t rushed and itโ€™s perfect place to meet the girls, have a date night or work. Aware there are comments about the children policy but Mr Fox is perfect for the community of parents and Fern is ideal for a working professionals vibe. Huge hats off to the owners and management, aware the opening was reliant on lots of factors but Iโ€™m absolutely loving it and itโ€™s really lifted the area! Next.. must try the breakfast!

Only the best impressions and compliments on the kitchen, the bar, the interior and the overall atmosphere. The fish & seafood exceeded my expectations. Zucchini with feta cheese gave me new kind of appreciation for this veggie, other veggies were increadible as well. Cheesecake was incredibly tender and with an unexpected, very pleasant twist. You must try the Margarita Verde, but I have no doubt that all the other cocktails will leave you speachless as well. I will definitely be back. Don't walk, run to Fern and bring everyone you meet on the way, because this place is a place to be.

Sea Bream was the best dish. Oysters and mussels were good. Prawns were juicy but the sauce was watery and flavourless. Green lasagne was average. Pork tasted decent but not worth the price.

I went to Fern for a catch up with my friend, planning to have just a bit to eat. We saw the delightful menu and wanted to order everything! We had the incredible scallops, the delicious polenta, the beautiful Italian charcuterie and gnocchis cooked to perfection! We couldn't believe the quality and attention to detail put in the food. Everything was very carefully presented then explained to use while served. Our visit was nothing short of a wonderful experience. Valentin's cocktails and smile as well as the coffee cheesecake are also things that makes this place a refreshing place to be in Croydon

This was our first time at Fern for brunch but I could not recommend our visit enough. Each and every dish of our sharing plates brunch was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was really friendly and clearly very proud and knowledgeable about each dish they served. We noticed another guest complaining that they thought the menu was too small (not noticing the additional dishes on the other side of the menu) but the staff handled it amazingly. In our view, there is easily enough choice and we would much rather Fern made less dishes perfectly than extend the menu and risk loosing their current quality. The signature cocktails ( Marguerita Verde + Dusk Daiquiri were mind blowingly good and we love the fact you can also opt for non alcoholic versions of the same mix drinks. If you donโ€™t live locally, Fern is a reason to travel to Croydon as you will not be disappointed.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is incredible. The restaurant has sharing plates (as Spanish tapas). Jude was a great host! She made suggestions to harmonize our plates and even changed one of the plates on the menu to better suit our tastes. The food was spot-on: really flavourful and decent sized portions. The cocktails are just perfection inside a cup. The price is a bit harsh, but the quality goes along, so you pay for what you get. A really hidden gem.
