Friendly service and tasty coffee. Their gluten free baked goods are pretty decent. The brownie a bit too fudgie, but good with the salt to balance out the sweetness. The pistachio loaf was delicious, not very sweet. It was a bit too dry though. It can get a bit packed upstairs, but that's part of the charm of this place.

Nice little cafe with limited seats so it would not ever get too noisy, although the small space might mean greater reverberation. However the morning I was there, it was peaceful. Iced latte was really good and smooth. Got the £5 breakfast set. Protein Bowl was small portioned but pretty good. Muffin was tasty too. Friendly staff. Nothing too exceptional but nothing to fault.

Nlice little place. Don't like big chains, so this suits so much better. It's such a narrow building though, that it doesn't really stand out from the street. Friendly and helpful staff. Like the decor and the food was really nice. Just be aware that the stairs to the upstairs seating area are quite steep and the treads are rather narrow, so be careful coming down the stairs.

Good coffee and lovely staff the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the breakfast .I got salmon avocado scrambled egg on toast with good presentation of the plate but the scrumble egg was microwaved not cooked in a pan I don't know maybe you can't cook in this premises . I would give 5* if I just had the coffee.

Very cute little cafe located in trendy Angel. Friendly staffs, good and reasonably priced coffee, and tasty food! Their avocado toast was very refreshing - had some splash of lemon juice on top and a cute flower! We went on Saturday around 3pm and some of the food were already sold out (soup and toast with chicken). However, the staffs were still very friendly apologizing about it and tried to recommend us something else.

Kobo is a very small cafe with a few tables upstairs but serves absolutely delicious coffee and cakes! The baristas were knowledgeable and helpful, and even offered us some samples to taste. My flat white was was very tasty with beautifully textured milk. The cold brew was equally as delicious with the two different blends we tried. The food was also excellent! Kobo Cafe also sell quality coffee beans to take home at a very reasonable price.

Small and cosy cafe in angel. Staff was very friendly and food tasted fresh and healthy. Prices are reasonable as well. If I had to suggest one thing, would be better to not use chipped plates and cups :)

Arrived at Angel, googled best coffee shops at Angel, Kobo popped up first. Superb cappuccino. Very smooth, rich flavour, beautiful cuppa. Cafe is v small, don't under-estimate it on looks alone. This was easily one of the best coffees I've tasted in 6 months (and I've just come back from 2 weeks in France!). My meeting is in the opposite direction, but I'm walking back to Kobo to get another cuppa.

This is the smallest , trendiest impact cafe I've ever visited. They only have seating upstairs. The walk in is a very narrow serving area. So on a busy Saturday like today you would need to order and stand outside to allow others to get in to order. The coffees were good but a touch too cold. We will defno stop off here again to grab a bite if in the area.

Very small coffeeshop (with no seating) yet it's still one of the best shops in Angel. The cappuccino or the latte is extraordinary (they really make a great choice with their espresso roast). They always if you want a large, which if you ask me is the ONLY way to go.

Cosy place, full of light. Green tea of surprisingly fine quality. Music is not too loud, not crowded, enjoyed the experience!

Better skip this espresso. I'm not sure about beans quality didn't buy to try it home. But they definitely didn't clean up their coffee machine for a long time. I can feel this bad burnt taste perfectly. If you go for any long drink or mix it with milk, you probably can not feel it. Pastry look ok, but nothing special. They also do not offer any water for your espresso, you need to ask for it. Seems overrated.

I just moved to this area and of course there are so many coffee shops around but after I tried Kobo coffee. I swear to god I never want to go to have it from anywhere else. It is beyond AMAZING! I don’t know how to describe it but come to try it yourself! moreover, my favorite bakery from Kobo is ALMOND CROISSANT 🥐 and BANANA BREAD.

I don't normally leave restaurant / cafe reviews, but had such a perfect time at Kobo, I had to do it. Great selection of loose leaf teas (including a delicious pu-erh), amazing selection of vegan cakes and really lovely staff! It's now a new favourite! <3

Beautiful food and the staff is super friendly helpful and kind. I loved the chilled atmosphere KOBO offers right next to Angel. They have healthy flavoursome vegan options, the masala chai with oat milk was absolutely delicious and freshly squeezed juices. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic selection of coffee, juices, smoothies and especially cakes and pastries! The chocolate and custard muffin is my favourite but can't wait to try the halva brownie.

Staff is lovely. Food is good but could be better or maybe is just my taste haha coffee os really nice but served on cold glasses so it reaches your table colder than it should. Price is on point. Go upstairs! It's a cute and cozy place.

Little and very cozy. Super friendly staff. Guess it might get very busy on weekends due to limited space ft. good quality. Avocado bread (cousin of banana bread) was a great discovery.

Great espresso in a minimal, cramped location. Small selection of vegetarian snacks in a great area.

Lovely cafe with very nice staff. Deceptively big too with lots of seating room upstairs. Drinks are delicious, particularly the matcha latte. Menu is filled with various food options from light bites to bigger Lunches and a great range of sweet treats. Great gluten free /vegan options too!

One of the best and proper Cappuccinos have had in London. Is a respite to have such with likes of the 'assembly line' orientated barista service in the bigger coffee chains that mostly serve burnt coffee and foam. Easy to miss with narrow shop front but once been you will not forget where it is. Thanks for your great coffee.

I've grown fond of Kobo ever since I spent a whole morning there preparing for my job interview in a nearby BDC. The coffee, I usually get the Swedish brew [filter], was strong, with a distinct and delicious taste that clearly sets it apart from what you'd normally recognise as the "coffee taste." It kept me going until the early afternoon, and I enjoyed sipping it while working on my interview presentation. The food is tasty, and from the vegan rolls to toasted sandwiches, there's a good range to choose from, especially when you're trying to avoid meat. The service there is always pleasant, and when I forgot to ask for a receipt last time I was there, Leo from Kobo responded to my email almost immediately, sending me a picture of the receipt so I could get it reimbursed; a perk of the job that I was getting ready to be interviewed for a few months ago back in Kobo Cafe. Am I saying that a coffee from Kobo will help you get a job? No, not really, but as spending a few stressful hours go, Kobo is definitely a great place to be at. The seating is upstairs so if you're looking to enjoy your coffee sitting-in, don't be discouraged from the tiny downstairs space!

Kobo is a lovely independent coffee shop that's easy to miss. The coffee is easily the best in the area, and the cheese toasties are worth stopping in for too. The team are very friendly too, and they've adapted amazingly to the coronavirus, with an efficient ordering and collection process.

Amazing coffee and lovely food too! Really enjoyed a veggie wrap and caramel brownie with a biscuit on the top !! We got to Angel really tired after a long 30km bike ride and we were so happy to find this place to get some good food and coffee which we took to enjoy by the canal !!

This cafe is one of the hidden gems. It is so narrow that you can miss it very easily but when I walked in I immediately loved it. They have a very cute seating area upstairs with a window overlooking the beautiful neighbourhood around. The coffee is really good but I didn't have the chance to try any of the pastries

We came here last summer and fell in love with the latte. This time in winter, we absolutely had to come back and we weren't disappointed. In a city with so many coffee joints, Kobo does it better.
