I've been going to Jake's for over 40 years. Their burgers are legendary and rightly so. Although the shop isn't fancy, their burgers are the best I've had. If you try the 12 or 16 ounce "blow out", you may need to dislocate your jaw to get it in your mouth, but it's yummy!

I’m a local lad & I can’t believe I haven’t been here before, the food is honestly 10/10 (one of the best burgers I’ve had) & considering the high quality of the food the prices are very good too. Whenever I need a burger this will be my place to go 😎👌🏼 I can tell that the owner is a very nice man, his overall customer service & conversational skills are 10/10. I found out from him that this shop has a 50 year history & he’s been working in the shop for all of this time which I found really interesting. Even though I only came here last night I have already highly recommended this place to my friends & family 😁

Never a bad burger, in the many years of attending this fine establishment. Especially a Thursday night, after the Bury Club packed-up after another fine "Mick and Kiwi/Beanie/Odie" gig, and we bundle down to Jakes for a Tower burger of some class. Excellent range of toppings and amount of patties in your own burger. This cannot be recommended highly enough. Owner is a thoroughly lovely chap, too!

Absolutely brilliant classic burger place. Total nostalgia. Been going for like 50 years and is a piece of local history. Top quality food for reasonable money. Gentleman that served us was super friendly and made sure our food was cooked perfectly right in front of us.

This on first glance looks proper old school and possibly if not recommended I would have looked on. But this place is absolutely bangin. The prices are brilliant, the burgers are everything you wanted but never knew it. If every burger taste like this the world would be a better place. The bunn is toasted with a beautiful singe to the edges as is the onion. Talking to the owner he has been there for 50 years, a really nice bloke, and you can taste the mastery. Taste and texture are well thought out in these burgers. I like it.

I Have been eating at Jake’s for over 30 years. Never have I not enjoyed the food. Always love having a chat with Rob, I take all my kids with me and they also love Jake’s. But forget everything I have said and put your hands together in appreciation because finally the original RIBSTEAK is back !!!!XXX!!!! Oops I’ve been in twice this week for a treble mmm . No words can do justice to the quality of food served at Jakes. Seeing & trying is believing. Been eating there for over 30 years. Excellent service and a “blow out” menu to suit the hungriest of customers. 5 stars all day long.

And on the seventh day he created Jake's. A fabulous take-away which provides food of the highest quality. Jake's is a local favourite, but is well worth the journey for the more ambitious & adventurous. Must re-visit soon as supporting local community is essential (I use this excuse to stuff my face)

Jakes is a part of my growing up history, we would eat there after a night out in Ilford or Seven Kings (1978). Back then you could get a square ⬛️ burger and you could order a box of burgers to take home and put in the freezer. Without a doubt the best burgers in East London. Try one.

Paid for 16 oz of beef patty, received 12 oz (365 grams) a big discrepancy and when you consider that 16 oz vs 12 oz costs £4 more you would expect to receive exactly that. When I contacted the owner, he advised that all weights advertised are pre-cooking, and so a 16 oz burger is in fact 12 oz, a 8 oz = 4 oz and so on. If I were the owner and valued the integrity of my business, I would add extra meat to account for the shrinkage, or add a disclaimer on delivery sites to inform customers of the same otherwise you are misrepresenting an item. Another piece of advice to the owner is not to dismiss a customers concerns by using the premise ‘I’ve got a reputable business and don’t receive complaints of this nature’ thus trivialising their concern. Treat each concern individually and with a helpful attitude. As for the burger, the patties contained too much flour (which is typically used as a binding agent, just less) making them very rubbery and without flavour, which left much to be desired….

Jakes Burgers is the original fast food place of Seven Kings. It’s not only a great place to get a burger, it’s also a historical site.

Made our journey from Benfleet to Seven Kings, just for a burger from Jakes. As always, burgers fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. Pricewise, can’t grumble. We could get a McDonalds and pay about the same - difference in taste and quality not even close! Love coming here, it’s always a treat for us. I believe Jakes has been around a good 50 years - here’s hoping there are plenty more visits to come.

I ordered the lamb burger and the rib steak with chips.. 11£ or so I didn’t ask for any sauce, glad I didn’t because it was well seasoned with sautéed onions and cheese I’ll be going back again. What a gem.

Used to frequent Jake's thirty odd years ago and always remember it being the best burger place around. Always told my son how nice they were and noticed deliveroo deliver for them so we ordered. Just as nice now and my son agreed.

Went last night and ordered two burgers, a sausage and three portions of chips. The food was genuinely outstanding. We added bacon to one burger and an egg to the other. Both delicious and very filling. Very friendly service. Will definitely be going back. 10/10. Can't believe we've never been here before!

Waited 1 hour and 45 mins for an order that didnt arrive. Extremely unhappy as im now starving and have nothing to cook at home and used the last of the money in my account. I will never order from them again. Seems im going hungry tonight.

Burgers are out of this world great portions very reasonable prices and the owner is really friendly. Can't fault the place. Only been there once but definently going back

Used to go here every night after clubbing at The Cauliflower or anywhere else really! I'm talking nearly 50 years ago so this place is a living legend.

Had my maiden burger at last night. Was as good as I've been told. Lovely guy and a great conversation. Prices are amazing tooo!

Wow what a great burger we just had.. bought 4 beef burgers for my family and they are still licking their fingers. I feel bad as lived in Seven Kings for 12 years and always drove past Jakes.. But from now on, no more dirty chicken shops or processed McDonalds, Jakes all the way now! And only £30!
