The worst surgery I’ve ever attended. The doctors are awful and have very little respect for patients. I had one doctor accuse me of lying about what a doctor said to me and another doctor make a seriously disgusting accusation about a family member instead of getting to the route cause of what the issue was! The most unprofessional surgery ever and don’t even get me started on the receptionists that work there. They are more interested in having a social than dealing with anyone. I would recommend anyone to steer clear of this place and if you already attend here I would suggest finding a different surgery. Since moving to a new surgery I’ve had much better service, compared to here.

This surgery used to be bad but now it is terrible, I call for an appointment the reception is asking what is the reason? I don't want to give this Information, yet they insist I tell them. When you finally get an appointment it is a PHONE appointment which would be 2 weeks later. I attend the phone appointment with atleast 2 rude drs, asking me what what they want them to do, stating I am to to young to need a blood test etc and dont need one because i have no symptoms. and ends them up hanging up on me. Professional. I have my blood test, I recieve a text message saying my results are fine and know further action needed, when I look online at the results it shows abnormal results and too contact me, then no one contacts me. Overall a bunch of receptionists all running around in the back giggling, rude Dr's (all about saving money not lifes) Dr's previously googled my issues in my appointment. All information has been gathered for CQC.

Had appointment cancelled 4x in a row. Most of the repetition staff are always miserable when you call. When I eventually got my appointment the doctor I spoke, to over the phone, was very rude and would not answer my questions I had about my health. He calmed that he was frustrated due to personal issues that he brought up during our call despite being no relevency. It gave an atmosphere of unprofessionalism, as if the issue was affecting him to such an extent he should NOT been at work.

This place is awful. There's one particular receptionist that is blunt and rude, and the overall service is shameful. You can have an appointmnet at 10am and they are already 45 minutes behind schedule. This happens every single time we come here. When you finally get an appointment, you are rushed out the door so fast, I don't know how they are so far behind when my appointment lasts 3 minutes. I was diagnosed with a foot condition that I was told I would have to live with for the rest of my life. Over the phone. My partner spent 20 minutes researching online, purchased some special shoes, problem went away in 2 weeks. You can excuse the lateness, I understand the pressures they face. You cannot excuse constant incorrect diagnosis, lack of care and attention, or learning more about a condition in a 20 minute Google search than a "qualified" doctor. There was one time where we got to see Doctor Kenwood, I think his name was, that should be the service standard. Approachable, friendly, informative. Just a shame that it's far from the norm. I don't even have a doctor. I don't think I've ever seen the same one twice.

DISGUSTING, extremely disgusting, that puts it mildly. I drop in as script, mark it urgent. So it still sits 3 working days (not big on smarts that lot). I ring daily, get told Thursday, yes it goes to chemist today. So leave work early, get to chemist, no script! This outfit lie and lie. It’s for sure PoWHER WILL be acting on my behalf.. they have every. Excuse to keep you on hold for hours, cut you off, refuse to offer any assistance without receptionist permission. Nowww I’m on hold - again. Because they are probably chatting, they certainly don’t Work ! Last night was ‘on hold’ 40 mins only to lose place in que? It is now 08:10 next day, still in que. Today formal complaint via PoWHER goes in. No matter what. This is NOT a Dr surgery. If it was, people could get treatment instead of being treated like cattle!

Useless, waited 3 weeks to get an appointment for my daughter, only to be cancelled, turned up to the appointment and no doctor. Just a nurse who couldn't advise or help. Told to book a blood test at reception only for reception to say book it yourself. Phone number to book blood test not working and online booking system is terrible which doesn't confirm the venue of the appointment.

How a doctor's surgery can have telephone issues for over a week in the 21st century; I cannot comprehend. Suffering from a Flare up and unable to contact the GP - it's not ideal. Twice, I have visited the practice, when I can hardly move, to be told a doctor would contact me, which they do within the hour via text message but surely there is an easier way of raising your issue?! People are suffering and we cannot get through with dead phone lines. Their online system prompts me to 'call reception for assistance' - impossible. In the private sector, we would be named and shamed for such an issue with phone lines for over a week, yet it's life and death here but doesn't seem to matter! Appalling. Hoping a GP will contact me today as per their message earlier but I may not hold my breath. In the meantime I will cancel my blood test appointment with the hospital (difficult enough to secure) as my GP has failed to provide a blood form in time.

I personally cannot fault this practise. Yes, there are queues when you call etc, but which surgery doesn’t have wait times. It’s so easy for people to moan and criticise. I personally am a huge fan of the e-consult online facility. I recently made an enquiry regarding some medication and received a response to my query via e-mail within a matter of hours. This I really appreciated as I didn’t need to call and wait in a queue as I wasn’t able to anyway due to having new additions to the family (twins) recently. All the staff are polite and I’ve witnessed the reception staff have to deal with some really grumpy patients who assume that they are more important than anyone else. You have a choice of sites of your appointments (Elstow or london Road). The midwife care at Elstow I’ve recently received has been fantastic. I for one am grateful to all the reception staff, all the Drs, nurses, midwives, support staff who work in both locations. You all do a great job & I just wanted to say thank you. I like that you can also pop into London Road and post your repeat prescription in the little box on the wall, again not having to queue. All these little things certainly help!

This surgery has been going downhill for years. in 2017 I was misdiagnosed by a GP there and prescribed drugs for a condition that was later proved I did not have. As a result the prescribed drugs made me very ill. No blame was ever admitted or apology was ever made. Just recently on Friday June 24th 2022 I was diagnosed with a chest infection. A GP at LRHC. prescribed steriods. I took these over the weekend and my condition deteriorated so much that I went back to LRHC at 0800hrs Monday 27th. I explain to the receptionist that I was feeling very ill and explained the situation to her. I asked if I could see a nurse or doctor immediately but she refused to do this and gave me an appointment for 1030am the same day. I was shivering shaking and generally in poor shape. I told her I could not do this she reluctantly let me sit in a chair in the waiting room until 11am when l finally got to see a doctor who told me to keep taking the Steroids prescribed. The Doctor did not seem to take any notice of what I was telling him and at one point became annoyed when I refused to take any more. At no time did the doctor take my pulse or temperature or any vital signs before sending me home. Three days later I was rushed to A+E where I spent the next ten days on a CCU ward at Bedford hospital. Again I have had no apology only poorly concealed attempts to pass the buck to the point that I am sick of health professionals urinating on my back whilst trying to convince me it is raining. I have also noticed that incorrect information has been entered on my medical records.I consider the GP,s at LRHC to be of a poor standard and the practice to be not fit for purpose.

Being a patient of the surgery over 15 years now and I am very happy to be their patient. Dr Kedward i and Dr Jacobs are the most professional doctors I have ever met. Yes, there is a huge waiting list and getting through trying to call surgery is very stressful and could be annoying (hence 4 starts), but the receptionists are extremely patient and really try to help as much as possible to deal with the problem. The surgery deals with our query quite quickly, referrals are done the same day, it is mainly hospital, where the delays are caused (not at the surgery). Surgery' s website would require a bit of modernity as it is really difficult to book an appointment online but I am glad I could order all our family prescription there and, within 2-3 days, all medicines are sent to our local pharmacy.

Disappointing, mainly poor communications and clearly over capacity. I am regularly redirected to go to pharmacy rather than getting any medical advice. For acute symptoms, appointments offered in 3 weeks - make no sense.

Please start providing Person Centred Care - stop wasting NHS money and patients time by triaging patients wrongly. A patient is not a bit of this and that and when you get it wrong, say sorry . Drs and practice nurses are great -sort admin

The worst surgery I had! You are never able to book an appointment with GP. Unprofessional, would not recommend!

I had to call recently at 8 am, as instructed by 111 the evening before, and expected to be in a long cue but surprisingly managed to be the 2nd person. I was given an appointment for my child about 1.5hrs later. I'm aware that it might not always happen that quickly as they are a super busy practice (as they are all) but it is so worth stating the positives as I am very grateful for the job that everyone does in a practice: from cleaner, administration to GP. Thank you for working hard and diligently.

I can't rate this practice any higher. Have been with them over 25 years and they are amazing, from reception to the doctors. Dr Arvinte is one of the most kindest people I have ever met and she knows her stuff! She diagnosed me very quickly and has been supporting me ever since. So a huge thank you

If I could rate 1 I would. Receptionist was so rude, I was enquiring about transferring to this surgery. I live 5 minute drive from here and they said they are unable to register me due to not being in ‘catchment’ area……….. when I asked why the lady kept trying to fob me off to other surgeries. Such a shame as I was recommended to this surgery, for anyone thinking about enquiring, don’t waste your time!

If I could give -10 stars, I would. I have been diagnosed with something in my brain that no one knows what it is and the doctors haven't done anything in 2 months since my MRI scan and I haven't been sent to a specialist.

I had the kindest nurse who took the time to just talk with me. She offered advice, support and didn't rush me very much person centred care. I have to say the surgery as a whole I think is great and the care my family and I have received has always been fantastic. So, thank you.

This surgery has got to be the most incompetent and unprofessional nhs service provider ever. They are seriously now telling patients to book appointments with a pharmacist. The receptionist staff Benthany and Chloe lie and discriminate by not offering appointments. I think its time the CCG and GMC reviewed this surgery as they compramise patient care.

Possibly the worse surgery around. Appointment at 10am it’s 3pm still waiting for them to give us a prescription! That’s 5 hours to get the medication needed. Appalling care for health.

Tried calling on 6 different days and the queue is always full and they kick you off of the phone. Don’t even bother trying with this surgery.

I haven't got a bad word to say about them. I've got various medical problems and have found everyone I've dealt with to be helpful ,concerned and patient. I'm sure like all surgeries their under pressure but I have no complaints. Thanks to all of you. Tony.

Phoned for an appointment as I urgently needed my 3 week old babies formula milk as he’s got a cow milk protein allergy got told they would do a prescription rather than give me a appointment which I agreed to they said it would be ready at 4pm phoned pharmacy was not there at 4pm phoned my drs again to be told it will definitely be done by 5pm again phoned pharmacy at 5pm to be told still not there phoned drs again to be told still waiting for the dr to sign it and that the dr finishes at 6.30 so phone pharmacy then so let’s see if it is I highly doubt it and I will have to give my son a different milk which I can buy which will be no good for him due to them not prescribing it when they said they will 😡

Had a great experience yesterday on the 04/11, when the receptionist went out of her way to make sure the doctor gave my blood test referral, so that I didn't need to come back to the GP for an appointment. Unfortunately, the only let down is the fact that every time my partner and I call the GP, there is always a huge queue. This is certainly not the receptionists' fault, this is probably just another symptom of insufficient funding.

👍👍 Went with a large group from work for breakfast at 9am on a Saturday. Plenty of food, nice variety. Only thing that wasn't up to scratch Was the black pudding which was slightly hard. Being a large group we booked the raised area which was plenty.
