Market with low prices Clothes, fruits, fish, meat. Prices generally below you find in the supermarkets. There is a parking lot just at the side and easy to arrive with subway. You can see families buying product for the week. Of course you find a multitude of cultures because around are the arab and african neighborhoods. So be prepared. You can find small restaurants with fresh fish: they fry it for you. Delicious and when we visited (Nov2019) the price was 23 euros per kilo. For two people we spent 18 euros and eat (with 2 cokes) very well . .

Go with patience, avoid using your shopping cart (chariot de couses), think about a backpack. Enter trought the side where the clemenceau is and you will start with the magazin articles. To the left meat, cheese, chicken and some food shops. Continue and you will find fish and other seafood. After fruits, vegetables, conserves and why not, rotisserie chicken. Prices as variable, its not the lowet, but the quality is normally good. Go with time, patience, a backpack and confortable shoes.

Opposite all the supermarkets here you can really enjoy picking fresh food, fruits and vegetables from all over the world. The flavor of the Afro-Mediterranean type on open market, price quotation, a variety of offers ... In the covered part can be found just about everything from pins to locomotives. Butcher shops are well supplied with all kind of meat, Fishmongers always have fresh seafood. Great choice for every cooking lovers!

A great way to spend a Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon whether it’s to grocery shop, eat or shop. Options for everyone both indoors and outdoors. Prepare to have cash with you for outdoor vendors, though, indoor vendors accept cards more. Friday afternoon seems to be the least busy, with Sunday afternoon being the most packed.

Abattoir is fresh market, they have almost everything there, fresh meat, seafood, fruits, vegetable, herbs, kitchen stuff with good price. For some family to settle here in Brussels can save a lot of money for cost of living. I reccomend on Friday and Saturday early morning less people and easy to shopping.

I really love this market. Indoor and outdoor. Products are so much fresher and cheaper than going to a supermarket. An amalgamation of hundreds of nationalities. Really worth the visit when you live in Brussels. Why only 4 stars? Many vendors are cash only but the ATM's are always out of order and not enough garbage cans to keep the venue a clean. But aside from this a must if you live in Brussels. Special mention to the phenomenal meat of Josaert! The long cue is worth the wait.

I love this Market. It has an open market with everything you can wish for. Fruits, meat, chicken, pork, vegetables, clothes, schools, electronics, dishes etc. It also has an amazing section for fresh products like fish, crabs, shrimps etc. The marker opens Friday to Sunday from 8a.m till 2p.m. It is easily accessible with trams and trains from ( brussel- zuid station) and also cars.

The choice offered is great! Variety and quantities of goods will astonish you. Maybe, you will find something from back home, who knows? That all, together with prices that are little more affordable, taking into account overal prices of everything in Brussels, makes this place "must see" when in BXL. Just, please, use public transport. With car it is nightmare to park and move to and from there.

Fantastic traiteur. Probably the best tzatiki in time. Also good fresh produce and imported products in general. Very nice and helpful personnel.

Great products for great price. You can get almost everything her, from clothes to groceries. Reminds me of Balogun Market in Lagos, 🇳🇬

Meat and fish sections are okay. The stalls of fruits and vegetables outside are not to be trusted, they are cheap but also not good, after two days they are rotten. Overall is nice to walk around just ignore the noisy sellers.

Love the market itself. Beautiful, varied and fresh produce for a really good price. But please be forewarned: the neighbourhood is dangerous. You run a very real risk of having your car window smashed and being harassed in the street. I recommend coming by public transit, and with at least one friend.

I like very much this place 😊 as for me it’s the good opportunity to learn more about common people and cultures Here are sometimes negative reviews unfortunately… about good’s quality and sanitary. But what do you want from city market?) for 5€ real CD or Chanel?)) I agree about the lack of sanitary but it’s not so bad like they wrote here. Eventually in Belgium I never saw that they give you bread or bakery in special gloves (((( Even when there was coronavirus. There are good choices of fresh products, meat, cheese and food from different countries. Different clothes so you can buy it for cheap prices, second hand market, different little things which you need at housekeeping, etc. So it’s big and cheap supermarket but with very simple goods

Always crowded, always loud but so much variety. Went there for romanian products. There are also terraces with good products, seafood, clothes (second hand and new), detergent, shower curtains. I think anything you can think of you can find it here. Only 3stars because it's dirty and way too loud sometimes and for a bathroom you have to go to a terrace which is not clean usually.

Great market where you can get vegetables, fruit and meat really cheap. Only issue... people are not really following rules against COVID-19

Finally, the open market is available to get fresh products. However, due to the current pandemic, wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing is compulsory. The market is clearly signaled on the path that should be followed to move around.

You get every household good here. Cloths plastics, kitchenware, ..etc. Cheaper and opens of certain days. Go in the morning of you know what to buy.... Go in mid morning if you do not know what to buy and where to search as all shops would be open. Bargain is possible is most of the shops.
