Had a very great recommendation about them but they haven’t lived up to my expectation. I was surprised to know that upon the heavy amount charged at the facility, they cannot even give a nose mask to patients who have forgotten their nose mask at home.

Nyaho on face value seems great but wait till you experience it. From the long waiting period to see the doctor you have booked to see, to poor appointment booking system, to no answer from call center, to really poor customer service... The list goes on. Recently, one midwife was really rude to me for asking her a question. I guess she thinks I am supposed to know. Once in a while, the Nyaho team calls me to get feedback on their service. As if they don't know what's going on in their own house. Are we happy with their service? Definitely a big NO.Are we paying too much for their services? Definitely YES. And please if you are in an emergency situation, for the same of your own sanity, do not pass through this facility.

Service delivery considering the infrastructure and investment is nought? Is there an administrator who does a routine check...I have been in and out of the emergency ,the lab,and reception and pharmacy ...it’s been random service...how are the doctors evaluated,the nurses ,assistants to mention feedback ..cleanliness...sad really..to see such waste especially when we have the money to pay for service..and delivery ..not sure they value the investment ..that same typical lackadaisical attitude..and yet we complain of the government hospitals.. this inbred attitude has to stop !our desire to perform and perfect in our chosen profession must be brought to bare! I rest my case.

I have been bringing my child here for some time and considering making this place the clinic of choice for my entire family but it's been extremely difficult because the wait time here is just not ok. I'm writing a review today because it's just the climax for me. I have been here for more than 6 hours today and I'm still waiting to see the doctor to review my child's lab results!! In fact I am writing this review from the waiting room of Nyaho because I am so so disappointed at how much my time is being wasted! Its just not acceptable. Looking forward to having my childs results read and that's it. This will be my last time here, already researching alternatives while waiting to be seen. It is really unacceptable and I do hope you review your scheduling management. I asked for a few hours leave from work to come and now I'm having to spend the entire day here. #Not #acceptable

I was under the impression that Nyaho Clinic was under a new management and had improved. I was wrong. It’s the same. Just repainted with new computers. I came to the emergency with my son over an hr ago, there was nothing “emergency” about their emergency. I waited in line for almost an hour. I had to remain calm because, there were a couple ahead of me in line with a 4 week old baby who wasn’t breathing probably and who hasn’t eaten in over 24hrs. Believe it or not. That couple were still there when I left. Waiting to be put on admission. When I got to see the person on duty, (who by the way, I had gone to announce my presence to) he claimed he had no idea I was waiting to see him. And mind you, I was within his eye reach the whole time. I have been here on 2 occasions, waited for about 2 hrs and got up and left from frustration. On another occasion, I booked an appointment, and didn’t receive any call or message to prompt me as other hospitals do. In the past, their negligence has resulted in people’s deaths. I know a couple of such (not here say, first hand). This will be my last time coming here, unless it’s the last hospital I have access to.

Appointments are poorly scheduled. I think it does not really speak well of a topnotch hospital of your type. Bookings must be related to find out whether doctors will actually be at post before appointments are booked. But for the above, Nyaho remains one of the best in health delivery. Thanks

Staff are generally polite at Nyaho. Nice and clean environment. However, long waiting times, even if you have an appointment. On three different occasions, i had to wait for over two hours after my appointment time to take a scan. It is so frustrating, the worst was appointment times were not reviewed after I had complained about it. Oh and speak of doctor consultation, you will be brushed off soonest, literally 5mins with the doctor after paying huge amount of consultation fees.

Absolutely the worst hospital I've been to in my life 1-Even though the place is empty they make you wait a very long time without regards to that you're in pain 2- They told me to knock on room 2 and wait, i waited for like 20 minutes before it turned out there was no one inside (i had to open the door without an answer to find out) 3- and everything is just expensive, i paid 600 cedi for a general visit and over that i get this treatment 4- after you've paid for all things (registration, doctor appointment, lab , pharmacy) you have to pay again to get your results as a report. And you have to wait 10 business days to get them because the person who clicks print is not around

Worst coordination by management. I took appointment for 5:00 PM and they called inside at 7:30 PM . I had this kind of experience more than 4 times. They need to improve a lot on this. They should know the value of others time. And waiting in hospital for 3 hrs with kids is not safe and there is no value for appointment.

With more than 50 years as a medical center, Nyaho Medical Center is one of the best in the health industry in Accra, Ghana. It is located not far from the Kotoka International Airport.

This hospital has Fallen so bad from its high standard. I will choose a public hospital over this hospital. 2 doctors misdiagnosed me at Nyaho, thankfully it wasn't fatal. Just about a week ago, they misdiagnosed an 8 year old and a few days later, she died at Korle bu. In 2014/2015, my dad was given the wrong prescription which worsened his condition and we moved from Nyaho to Korle bu. He survived. Simple drugs, they don't have. Every day is a different set of doctors. Only if the laws worked, this hospital will be sued and would be out of business. Go to to this hospital at your own damn risk. This is not the hospital the founder envisioned. USELESS AND PATHETIC.

I paid consultation fee to see the ENT specialist, he checked my ear and asked me to do a scan and get back. The scan was going to be ready in 2 days so I had to book another appointment to see him and that follow up was going to cost me an additional GHS 161. This is ridiculous, it doesn't make sense at all. A doctor asks you to go do a scan and come back with the report, and you are charged for bringing the report back to him? Sigh! This is all about money!!!

Delays in appointments are not exception, it is actually the normal practice. They ask patients to reach premises 30 minutes early, but I waited for more than one hour after my appointment till the doctor saw me. Today my appointment is so far one hour late. Place is crowded and hot. I had a total difference experience at its Unity at Octagon. Hard to believe they are the same clinic.

I called your emergency line and no one picked for several times. What kind of hospital doesn’t attend to emergency calls.

I won't be using this clinic anymore. Wait times are too long. Doctors ask you to make multiple visits instead of dealing with cases properly and comprehensively. Covid tests are consistently late (even for premium express services) and often don't arrive via email at all. Many of the people I know are now choosing Acai clinic over Nyaho. I will be making that change for non-urgent care.

The wait time at the lab is too much, why would you have to wait 3 hours an over for a lab results looking at the cost for services. We don't spend that amount of time for lab results when we go to the public hospitals. OCTAGON is by far the best amongst all the Nyaho Medical Centres.

I’m sorry I have to do this but this hospital the doctors don’t listen to patients properly. I went to this hospital twice because of an emergency I had. I couldn’t breath. They took soo many test charged for everything of course and came back saying it’s because of low potassium but refused to give me my test results which I paid for. Didn’t understand that. After the meds they prescribed me with. It didn’t solve the issue at all instead everyday from then on I was having. More problems. Ended back In the hospital now different diagnose but I knew it wasn’t right because director once again didn’t want to listen to me telling him how I feel completely. After one month of going back and forth to nyaho I decided to go to another hospital called Albany clinic. These people took their time to listen to me being able to eliminate what I may not have and what I may have instead of wasting my money to take unnecessary test. They told me. Well start with one test which will most likely show the problem if it doesn’t then onto the next test. So I did the test and immediately the problem was found and the solution was found with no questions, and I was well treated and feeling better in one day. I’m saying this because I believe nyaho clinic are thieves and will prescribe whatever and diagnose whatever just to keep the patient coming back and to take more money and I will never step foot anywhere my life is not taken seriously

1. There's a general lack of smiles on the faces of the staff. 2. Along with the lack of smiles, there's a lack of due diligence. I brought in my 15 month old who had been throwing up. For a medical centre where you have to prepay before services are provided, there was no follow up. The night nurse might as well have gone home and still gotten paid. In the US they would have checked on the patient at the very least every two hrs. 3. They charged me for some plastic contraption to collect urine from my infant son. No one came to check on that contraption. By morning. All the urine had leaked into the diaper. Waiting for them to come charge me for another one. I do have a few choice words. 4. My kid has been on an IV since about 7pm last night. I can honestly say no one has checked on the line since 11:38pm when we pointed out to them that it wasn't working. At this point I honestly feel like I deserve some of that money I already paid. Now let me see if the morning crew will redeem the facility.

There is no sense of urgency lately right from the reception to the doctors . The attendants at the scan and labs are definitely okay. But one will wait hours unend just to see a doc. And sit for hours before they attend to you. I don’t know when Nyaho turned this terrible ..but if you have an emergency then don’t come here

This is by far the worst private medical institution in the country. Their only motivation is charging exorbitant fee..... my dad had bilateral infarct in his brain...simple major stroke. He stayed at Nyaho Clinic for 7 days. We brought his own medication from home and that was what was administered while he was on admission. They started him on Plavix.... a blood thinner. Tonight they decided to discharge him without any discharge information, not even if he should continue with blood thinner they started. He was asked to return for review September 7th. Night house officer question medical staff said he has no information to provide with regards to discharge planning or information. Did I forget to tell you we paid almost 15 thousand credit. This clinic is place is dangerous with serious medical malpractice and very unethical facility. If you have money to waste and looking for medical euthanasia of your family members then send them to nyaho clinic. Very dangerous medical facility....... evil to say the least.......... Criminal organization!!!!!!! Please spread the word 🙏!!!!! Foreigners stay away!!!!!!

I’m currently on holiday here in Ghana and I have fallen on wet tiled steps and banged my head. I have been on hold for over an hour waiting to speak to someone for some help and advice but NO ONE IS PICKING UP THE PHONE. I am very disappointed with this service and will be going somewhere else.

Good Hospital, Went there since childhood and they still maintained their standard

I waited for 1.5 hours. The GP did not properly assess my condition before making a prescription. The pharmacy has the slowest service I have ever experienced, and the person serving me was rude.

I contacted Mrs Nana Pokua to get an appointment for my 70 year old dad who has been very sick for some time. From the first contact, my dad received a call from one of the nurses who booked him to see a doctor straight away. Ambulance service was offered to him if he was to need one. The amazing doctor did many tests and after diagnosis, the doctor prescribe some medicines. Within a few days of taking his medicine, my dad was feeling much better and his voice did not sound weak anymore on the phone. Nyaho Medical Centre nurses and staff were all so friendly and courteous during this process. The level of customer service was very high and professional. The staff went beyond and above for my dad and I am very grateful to the amazing doctor, the nurses and the lab technicians and everyone who was there for my dad. Even though I was not in Ghana, Nyaho Medical Centre made the necessary arrangement to make it possible to pay the bill from overseas. I was amazed at the high level customer service. Nana Pokua called me back to follow up on my dad process, at the time I contacted Nana Pokua, she was going through some personal tragedy but she still took the time to organize for my dad to see a doctor. My sincere gratitude and many thanks to Nana Pokua, the doctors, nurses and all the staff at Nyaho Medical Centre. Thank you so much Nyaho clinic. Narkie.

Services at the pharmacy is too poor. One has to sit for a long time to be served. If its problem with shortage of stuff, they should directly write the prescription for us to buy it elsewhere. You can't keep us here for hours just because you want us to buy from you. Its extremely annoying that one has to waste so much time just to pick up drugs. ?

One of the most complete hospitals in Accra with all the facilities of a reknown medical centre. Very well located anf easy to find. It is not one of the best in terms of customer service but they are continuously improving. Quite overpriced because of the continuous improvement but very good quality healthcare. Just be prepared to pay and come along with a lot of patience. The Pharmacy is the slowest department and you could really wait for a long while.

A very organised and good hospital. They also run the Covid-19 test here and that's what I came for. The price is fair enough and the reception was good. Its fairly busy really and that's a good thing. I love the set up of the hospital compound, the flowers and sculpture at the entrance etc.

I came here to take a Covid-19 Test. The procedure was just painful! I never experienced such a terrible smear. I highly recommend them to properly train their staff!

The place is the worst.Its just branding.I was there before 7pm in pain.Nurses said I didn't need admission meanwhile I was dizzy and couldn't walk so I was in a wheelchair.Doctor asked us to do a lab which we did at 8pm and we were told the results will be ready by 9:30 only to wait till 10:35pm to get lab results. We still had to wait till 12:30am before seeing a doctor just to interpret the lab results.My husband couldn't bare the pain I was going through so rushed out to get me first aid from a pharmacy meanwhile I was sitting in a hospital. The pharmacy also acted like they were doing us a favour by giving us medicines yet we paid for it.We finally left the place after 1:15pm.NYAHO MEDICAL CENTRE. NEVER AGAIN.

Not faster than a public hospital. Just more expensive. Every department will write down all your details in an exercise book.... while they have all your details in the computer, which takes half an hour to put in as well.... Generally, extremely inefficient management

Bad experience ,be careful of irresponsible.The covid-19 test place is not open and not clean, air can’t flow. in the small test room,never found disinfect when one finish then another,even the previous person coughed or sneezed. So,The doubtful result caused me missed my flights in same day.Otherwise ,It was ok after I test in another Lab the next day, but it’s later for flight.loss too much because of them.

Quality of customer experience seems to be lowering day-by-day. Make a legit complaint and staff look at you like you are the one with an issue. A culture of customer empathy and willingness to be efficient should be encouraged. Or is it that the staff are being overworked? For a place that doesn't seem to be the busiest hospital, a lot seems disorganized. Either ways, something management should look at, especially in the face of rising competition. Nyaho is simply not what it used to be, and confidence in their services keeps waning.....almost as if they really don't care. Edit: here again early in the morning and there is no doctor on duty, not a SINGLE ONE!! Nyaho you don't care about customer service

Sat for about 30 minutes trying to book a simple appointment with a physio. Systems for directing patients as to what to do appear not to be working properly.

Very tidy medical center with extremely rude customer service persons especially those who are relating directly with u to show u where n how to get to the doctor. The front desk person (desk at the entrance) is just an epitome of impatience, she wouldn’t listen to u but expect u to go according to her meanwhile u r trying to tell her that process isn’t working. 🤦🏾‍♂️ With the amount of cash being charged here they should treat everyone like royalty whether we wear shorts or coats. I came to the hospital not a job interview. Anyway, the lady at the “medical” check side was very patient n extremely nice. Kudos to her!! 👍🏾

It's always one challenge after the other. Got to the center at 7:45am took over 30 minutes for temperature checks. It's 9:30 am and we have still not been seen by a doctor, my daughter is yet to eat... No communication as to what is going on. It feels like a confused system to me, I really think the quality of service needs alot of improvement.

My father was admitted to Nyaho medical center Thursday night Jan 14th 2021 for an unknown health condition. My father complained and requested for oxygen. While he was present, my father did not receive the oxygen needed to sustain his life and he passed because of the center's neglect and lack of resources. My father walked into the center alive with hope but he passed less than 12 hours after his arrival. My request is for better care for future clients/patients. As a medical facility you need to have the basic necessities to ensure the wellbeing of those that enter for care. Unfortunately, my father did not make it, but I will use this opportunity to assist/ advocate for others. Needed tools for Ghanaian medical center's during this covid season should include oxygen tanks full of oxygen and availability (bed) in medical center's. I would like to thank Healthcare professionals during this time as well. Although, my father's care from Nyaho's healthcare professionals lacked totally. I still want to acknowledge the hard work that is provided. Please continue to do better. Thank you so much, Someone's concerned daughter.

Undoubtedly one of the best medical facilities I’ve visited so far in Ghana. My cousin got COVID-19 durin’ the peak season of the virus when all was hot everywhere. However, the professionalism of the staff coupled with warm smiles in such a heat of time was simply amazin’. I salute team #Nyaho!!!

I receive COVID-19 testing for travel outside of Ghana. Staff was orderly and professional. Retrieving my results was quick and painless.

One of the oldest privately owned medical hospitals in the country. Customer service is excellent and the facility is well kept by the cleaners. Doctors and nurses at this hospital are highly trained to be on top of their services. Walk in the hospital with your illness and they will take good care of your health for you. My only challenge with the hospital is lack of large parking space for vehicles. Opposite the hospital is a parking lot but not enough large enough for the client of the hospital especially when the hospital is very busy. Clients of the hospital end up parking on the shoulders of the street which causes vehicular traffic.

Nyaho by far is the best medical centre. Unfortunately my experience of recent is unpleasant. Paid for labs and couldn't make it due to miscommunication from their side. I reschedule again, but had an emergency.All attempts to reach the lab to give them notice proved futile. Its been a week now! Ive been calling the lab to reschedule without my call being picked. The one time a lady picked, as i started speaking she cut the line on me without any excuse. Tried to call back severally but never picked. Has scheduling a lab appointment becomes difficult now? So disappointed

This clinic is a fraud, their PCR Test was rejected at the airport just few minutes away from my flight. Stay away from them for your own good

Staff is friendly, In top 10 private clinics in Ghana. Expensive for regular folks. Doctors are knowledgeable. Wait time between 20-30 minutes. EDIT: Wait time increased to 2.5 hours. They can call to confirm your appointment, but they can't call to inform you Dr running late. Had to leave. Shame

Currently they do not have IV paracetamol and management is doing nothing for three days now.

Don't go there if you have an emergency. Very appalling behavior from the client service personnel who sat at Counter 3 on the night of 20th September 2021. She actually hissed when we told her we've been referred and needed a bed. Then comes the night nurse, a male, who appeared to be irritated that we had come there with a reference from another hospital. Then the there is the Duty manager, who made it look like our responsibility to have asked the doctor to call first, and get a place at their end... In an emergency. My wife was in tears.. I wonder if this is the Nyaho Hospital, Dr. Tamakloe envisioned. Silly

I am writing this review to warn potential customers about the poor quality of service and medical care at Nyaho Medical Centre, located in Airport Residential, Accra. My father was admitted to this hospital last month for a Lung is , and we had a very bad experience. Despite the high cost of the treatment, the doctors were unable to diagnose his condition or provide any effective remedy. They kept him in the hospital for 17 days, during which they performed some tests and took some samples from him, but they never gave us any results for some of the tests even after they discharged him . They discharged him without any improvement in his health, and a few days later, his symptoms returned and we had to take him to another hospital. We felt that they wasted our time and money, and put our father's life at risk. I strongly advise anyone who needs medical attention to avoid this hospital at all costs. They are incompetent, unprofessional, and irresponsible. You might end up paying a lot of money for unnecessary tests or admission, and still not get any help. This hospital is not fit to treat even a simple cold, let alone a serious illness.

Quite a shame that the reason I’m giving 2 stars is because of an issue that can actually be resolved. Many a times one will have to be greatly inconvenienced at the reception because the “network is down”! Maybe have a backup solution while resolving the issue so a lapse in your service delivery doesn’t damage an already sick persons experience!
