The most horrific hospital experience that I have had in my life. These people are money hungry and definitely have no bedside manners. For a simple procedure that could have been done in a few minutes and told me to stay in for as long as they want me to. When I asked for an early discharge, the "general surgeon" that I could not leave unless I sign a waiver. It is more like a 2-star self-service hotel than a hospital. The bill works to be 2880 GHS (720 CAD) for an unnecessary 2-night stay. Waiting in the hallways to be admitted into a ward for 7.5 hours with no antibiotics, painkillers or water would cost 96 GHS (24 CAD). My wounds tripled in size in 7.5 hours. Multiple reinfections took place after staying in that filthy place for 48 hours. The doctors do not trust your word and would order irrelevant tests and do not treat your ailments. There is a price for everything even down to wet wipes and rubber gloves. It is in the helping business but just to make profits.

Their electronic health management system which delivers swift, efficient and quality healthcare to its numerous clientele is exceptional. Staff are very welcoming and treat patients with a high standard of compassion.

They have great infrastructure. They also have splendid rooms on admission. Two patients in a room. Full air conditioning and television. You have access to quality doctors. Not to mention the caring nurses. There are also specialists here. Including phycologists and dietitians. Oh and they serve you high nutritional foods three times daily.

Doctors and nurses were very professional and kind, eventhough we arrived passed midnight. They gave us clear information and instructions, and provided answer to all of our questions. Very conveniently located. Provided all that we needed to recover. Inconveniences: 1) we had to pay for things at different times (multiple visits to the check booth), it would be better to pay for everything when discharged. 2) we had to wake up the staff, cause they were sleeping on duty.

Excellent health care, multiple departments. It does get very busy so expect to wait a lot. But they try hard to take care of you.

My name is Ernestina Wotordzor, I was at your SNITT OSU hospital yesterday, 22/01/2019. I have been experiencing a very terrible back and neck ache since September and I feel very stressed. I got there as early as 7:00 am from Pokuase and was asked to wait to be attended to by the GP in Consulting Room 2. But i did not get his name. I run an X RAY, went to the Specialist Hospital for my Eye and Back to him for feedback. Since i hadn't been to work that morning, I requested for the Excuse Duty from the doctor and pleaded if he could assist with an additional day since that morning i was really in pain. He just did not refuse but used a very terrible English on me. He said he could not do this and that I only came to the hospital because I wanted an excuse duty. And further said this is MALINGERING.I mean why will a sane person come all the way from Pokuase to Osu just for a sick leave if I truly wanted to dodge work. Why will I pretend to be sick and run all the test and go to your specialist hospital around the KUKU HILL and back to the one the Oxford street. Even if he did not see the need for me to be home, he could advise on what i could do just like the Professional Specialist Lady I met at the Eye clinic advised me. i felt very offended and disrespected because why will a Doctor who is supposed to show empathy on Clients or Patients, give such unsoothing and heartbreaking remarks about how one feels? Does that mean he concluded even before I came back from the X RAY? I think that Doctor needs to be coached on how to interact with Patients at least if he wishes to turn down a request which isnt in line with his job. i am being paid to work. i am entitle to leave days and i do not have to travel from Pokuase to Osu Snitt for an excuse Duty

Short: -Don't go alone, bring a companion because you need to remind the staff of their duties and do multiple visits to the payment booth. -Overpriced and they oversubscribe -We received no consultation on why each medicine is necessary. 1) If you are ill, than you definitely need to bring a relative or another companion because for every step of the treatment you need to visit a pay booth pay first before you are served. Thus if you can't leave your seat or are otherwise impaired, this will be a huge hassle. 2) I largely suspect that they ask for consecutive treatments to keep people at their hospital, even if the service is bad, you already payed for half of it. This way if someone is unsatisfied with their treatment they can deny responsibility for the treatment as it has not been completed. 3) We received no counseling on the purpose of the medication. 4) I strongly suspect they oversubscribe to make more money.

The most useless hospital in Ghana now. You can sit in queue for hours. One time there, a nurse there gave me overdose and almost killed me. Their doctors are so rude. Especially the freshers. My advice: If you have enough cash, don’t go to this hospital.

This hospital does not even deserve a star. They are horrible, inexperience and dont even care about the the patient. This hospital is designed to benefit the rich. the nurses there are like aids, no experience. i will never never never recommend this hospital to any one. if i had the power, i will shout this hospital down.

Trust Hospital Osu is suffering from complacency. The services are so expensive yet staff are not sitting up to attract more clients. My candid opinion is because contributions from SSNIT contributors run the place . The customer is not β€œking”here. Drugs are just too expensive!
