37 military hospital is one of the best government hospitals in Accra in terms of medical personnel and equipments. My challenges with this facility is that there are no enough beds for the matter mostly choked up with people seeking medical attention. Another challenge is the parking space for vehicles particularly private ones who come to seek medical attention or others who come to visit their love ones find it difficult to park and the least mistake you make by parking at an unapproved space or place, your vehicle will be clamped down by th security men on duty. Others may have bad experiences with the hospital the way some of the nurses treats their clients especially those in an emergency situation who are yet to be admitted at the hospital. Nurses and doctors can't be blamed all the time because sometimes the doctors, nurses and the environmental workers get overwhelmed with the situation most especially in this era of covid-19 outbreak.

the hospital has around 400 beds. It has a 24-hour accident and emergency department and pharmacy. Its x-ray facilities are also available 24 hours a day. Other departments include divisions for dental treatment, gynaecology, paediatrics and veterinary treatment. Its trauma department has been described by one travel guide as "the best in Accra". The hospital is also used as a teaching hospital for post-graduate medical students.

The Christmas decorations just by the roundabout near the 37 Military Hospital is breath taking, it has improve the ambiance of the whole area. Even though one can not get close because of the traffic flow of vehicles, you can still enjoy the seen from a distance,

Good hospital I been getting my medical services from this hospital but there is one nurse at the Operating and Consulting Room who was so rude to me, because I called someone a Doc.. instead of a nurse. If that's the way she treats people there then she should be fired immediately. She too proud, and arrogant. Damn

One of the worst hospitals I’ve been to. From the unorganized check ins, filthy urine scented restrooms, help from staff, wait time, all quality of treatment. Sadly the high reviews are from local students and employees. Poverty allows this poor quality of treatment it’s terrible. If u can afford go to ridge.

The pathology lab department is very discipline and very professional in their work, but the X RAY department is very very poor, they are very slow on their work. Looking at the number of clients that goes there and the waiting queue I suggest that place should be looked at.

Worst ever hospital because of Total Absence of Systems in the Front Desk. It took 3 hours just to tell us there was no Doctor available on Duty at Trauma and Accident Care Unit. The Young Female staff appointed are totally untrained, lack of supervision. I wonder if there serious lack of control and such untrained and lack of supervision and control is briging disrepute to this Great Institute which still has great Practising Doctors and Infrastructure. Without responsive staff no matter how great the institution is great it will FAIL. My son suffered in pain for no fault of his due to such negative attitude to respond.

My only problem with this hospital is that they did not disinfect the injection site before vaccinating my son. I pleaded with them the first time they did a bcg vaccination and they convinced me it would interfere with the results so no disinfection was done. It was the same scenario when we went in for the first weighing. My child was sick for several days thereafter needing medical care and this needed not be. This practice of medicine is reckless and needs to be looked at by the appropriate authorities. We need preventive and not reactive medicine in ghana. It’s pity and sad when staff won't even listen to you!

Good place for health care

First of all some of the nurses they have at 37 military hospital are so rude. Let me make myself very clear the not all the nurses are rude, we have nice ones who know what its like to care for patients. You ask a question and the answers you get from some of these nurses are so disgusting. I understand you cant have very thing 100% but hey when a patient needs assistance and asks the nurse they tell the patient to go do that themselves seriuosly. Nurses care and whatever the issue is be patient for we all dont know where we will end up oneday. Cos most people who work in the hospital see alot of corpse they careless . 37 hopsital is one of the best and it shoulf be addressed these people that come in to be cared for should be cared for please. People are dying cause of neglect . I pray and hope this atitude will change. There are alot of things happening at most of our hospitals which really need to be addressed seriously. No money u got no respect, and when you do not know any big guy like they say u care wont be urgent.

The washrooms needs better cleaning. Strong disinfectant must be used to prevent spread of infectious bacteria and diseases. I am currently treating an infection for using two of the washrooms at the wards, I am very disappointed. The cleaner usually comes in and splash water all around, mop and leaves without cleaning the toilet bowls. There is so much stench in there. This is a healthcare facility, proper supervision needs to be done so those hired do the right thing.

Better than the Police hospital and with more research equipment (like ECG, laboratories etc.) At the children's department they have some nice posters and a big tv screen that was showing cartoon songs about counting, shapes etc. I think for a public hospital it is not so bad.

I recentlly had an excellent experience at 37 Military Hospital . From the moment i arrived , I was greeted by caring and attentive staff who made me feel reassured and welcomed. The medical team was not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also conveyed a genuine sense of empathy and care.

My experiences as a patronizer of government facilities have taught me not to expect the best of treatments from such, just so I do not get disappointed in the end. But 37 Military Teaching Hospital is one of the best medical facilities in the city. It is not as huge as expected of a teaching hospital but they are just fine. It serves a nursing school as well.

A nice and serviceable place to be

My mum has been discharged since 9am this morning and till now....almost 3:30pm and counting....the bill is still being processed.....if it take this long to process a bill for someone who has been was admitted for only 3days .....how long will it take to process for someone was was here for a week or more....Management should please take a look at it issue because it is very frustrating.....this is not the first time.....very disappointed

The 24hours service @37military hospital is very very poor, no Doctor to attend to us while we're in pain before coming here. why ? Should we sleep on the floor before they'll know we are going through something?

My experience at this hospital has re-established my faith in God. My mother is sick. Very sick. She is at 37 as I speak ..on a ward with physical angels.., is being given spectacular treatment. Dr. Alfred Toppar.. God bless this man and his team. All of them are like angels assigned to mom after her years of service to God and mankind. We thank God for the lives of these men and women of God and we pray that God grants them the grace of God always. They give and NOT count the cost. They give and don’t expect anything in return. I cannot even believe it is Ghana we are dealing with . I almost gave up on Ghana healthcare due to past experiences at KBU but WOW.. I am blown away by grace and these angels. God bless 37!!

It's a military hospital open to the public. Diligent personal and the environment is neat and well ordered

One of the worst hospitals to visit. It can deceive you with its beautiful buildings but its doctors are knowledge-less, unskilled and ruthless. The nurses are mannerless and aggressive. The house officers don't know how to use fetal doppler or conduct delivery. The residents know how to hold the ultrasound probe but don't know how to interpret the ultrasound findings. Residents dont know the basic management of serious conditions (like fetal distress). The nurses dont know how to preserve IV lines while giving IV drugs and the anaesthetists dont know how to cannulate the veins. The surgeons and OT staff lacks IPC skills (Infection prevention and control practices). The consultants don't know what empirical antibiotics are. There is no concept of Antimicrobial Stewardship thus the hospital is a house of multidrug resistant bacteria. There are no hospital protocols for managing patient conditions. Doctors are hungry for money and their greed makes them so careless that they don't even examine the patients unless they receive bribes.

This has been the worst experience I have had this far. I came at 6:30am started to complain of not being seen it was 12 noon. The doctor did not show up until 900am. It was ridiculous the level of service was very poor

80% unfriendly staff. 70% of doctors abuse their protocols. The wait to see a doctor is overwhelming. minimum 4-5 hours upon arrival at the hospital if you're not an "emergency case" this is appalling.

My experience here wasn't stellar, it was just as abysmal as most government hospitals. The queues are long and slow, but eventually they get to you.

This hospital is unbelievable. I called looking for a person who works there and the receptionist or whoever answers the number on Google mentioned that there was no database of employees for her to access and assist me.I called again and whilst talking to her,she handed over the phone to another person whom I asked to transfer me to a specific department. To my dismay,she casually said,"oh the phone we use for transfers to other departments has been out of service and they are working on it" .I then proceeded to ask what they were receiving the initial Calls for and she rudely ended the call.These professionalism of these ladies at the call center or whatever it's named is a very big corporate image dent and sign of unseriousness at this hospital. GOD SAVE OUR HOMELAND GHANA,Really!!

I am angry as all hell because I am sitting comfortably on a hospital bed while my mother is outside of the ward in the cold . I just woke up a few minutes ago from the aftereffects of a surgery and found out through a phone call I made to her, she left her bag with all her personal items here (INCLUDING MONEY) so she can't even go back home, but the hospital won't let her back in the ward for any reason so she's stuck down there. Putting my mother at risk of catching a cold and malaria is something I will NEVER forgive this hospital for.

Great doctors and house officers but the least said about the nurses and orderlies the better. Witnessed an orderly being rude to a patient's relative whilst the nurses just stood and watched without a care at the easmon ward B.

People at the reception are really bad.i’m a foreigner I came to Ghana for visit and got sick.i went there to treat myself it’s around 7pm I paid for the consultation visit the doctor and then I went to run some test it’s take 8hours to get the results so I went back home the next morning they ask me to pay again for no reason.they said that their consultation fees is valid for 24h and my is not even up to 24hours .i didn’t want to pay they didn’t give me my lab results too .the people at the reception are not good
