Boti is located almost half an hour after koforidua. Getting there might not be easy if there is no car of yours or transportation from koforidua. From koforidua,  you might head straight to boti or you will drop a huhuya and take an okada up to boti which is 7 cedis. Once there , foreigners pay 30 cedis and locals 20. Various activities are there , hiking up to the umbrella rock and the three headed palm tree and back from there , you can go and enjoy the twin waterfalls. Let us be clear about something,  the journey is enjoyable and though long , also , the hiking to umbrella rock is not that easy, I'm not advising to take kids there or people with health issues,  it's long but worthy and getting to the waterfalls let you tight with stairs , yes stairs,  but you will feel them ah ah ah . My advise , go early to avoid crowd , start with the falls and if you can, go on hike to reach the umbrella rock. In addition,  get yourself MTN simcard while going there because Vodafone and Co are not working overthere. That's a lil sum-up of how it went for me while going to boti (without having a car)

The road to Boti Waterfalls is terrible and a little uncomfortable so be prepared. The twin waterfalls is a breathtaking sight which makes the over 5hrs journey from Accra worth it. The facility is clean and has spacious sheds to large groups. It doesn’t have a well stocked snack bar so it’s better to buy refreshments and food before going. Entrance fee is moderately priced and swimming is allowed. The place is currently seeing some infrastructure development so hopefully it will get better with time. In all I had a good time and experience the beauty of nature.

This is one of Ghana’s favourite tourist attractions so I’m sad there’s not much on offer when you get there. The falls are absolutely beautiful. But apart from that, nothing excites you. I got there recently and the receptionist was basically nonchalant about giving us an experience. First he said there’s no tour guide to take us hiking, then randomly brought a child to us that he’s the tour guide. We declined and said we’d just do the falls. He just pointed us in a direction and turned around. So we finally found our way down the stairs to the waterfall and there’s not much there either. We have a beautiful location like this and we should be doing the most with it. It’s like a three hour journey from Accra. The average time spent there is 90 minutes. The roads aren’t so great either. To drive 6 hours to and fro to just see a waterfall is a bit of a letdown. We need to do more with our tourist sites in Ghana

Preferbily visit during the raining season or after a good few days of rain to experience the water fall and have little time on the boat. But even without the water fall it has its own beauty. If you are there just to take in the beauty and pictures I wouldn't recommend to pay for a guide

Loved the hike through the woods, the waterfall and the other attractions. My guide was also very cool and helpful. I think their washrooms are still under development so it wasn't in the best shape when I visited. It'll be cool if they sold actual food in addition to the snacks they have there.

Boti fall or the couple water fall. The two water falls closed to each other are known to be a couple (one female and one male). It is a nice water fall where we could easily swim and go close to the falls without being at danger. Not deep, seems calm and peaceful. We had an exciting experience.

Nice waterfalls and a place to meditate on a regular day, don’t go when there is a holiday . Green ambiance. There is bad road leading to the site. Apart from that u will like the place.

After the 🛶 Canoe ride under the Waterfall spray, my neice accompanied me as I laid out in the water's pool. It had a spiritual effect on me. It was as if I was one with the water.

Went to Boti today and the experience at the falls was bittersweet in the sense that means on transportation to the place was hard Using public transportation on a sunday is expensive and the road is TERRIBLE, HAD A BROWN HAIR UPON ARRIVAL (first video) I personally feel the Entrance Fee is expensive but what can you do My group only went to the pool due to lack of time The falls was surreal i enjoyed every moment there Here's a suggestion Go early say by 10 11(am) Go for the hike The canoe ride was majestic See the rest and then come enjoy 😉

When you get to the bottom the steps you see two tall sheets of water thundering down into a pool - a lovely sight and sound. Very fresh. Entrance is only 20 cedis locals, 30 foreigners. 5 cedis to ride a canoe under the falls. If you don't drive, you can take two different trotros from Koforidua to put you at the resort gates taking about 1hr.

Take a good road worthy vehicle because the pot holes on the road there are like craters lol 😂 There is an entrance fee of 100Gh for foreigners. Locals have a separate price. The walk down want too bad. There are hand rails most of the way but if you have mobility difficulties the 250 steps might not be idea. It's beautiful when you arrive. Definitely worth the visit.

My first visit. 40 ghc for Ghanian visitors. 100 ghc for non Ghanian visitors. Tour guide 30 ghc. Nice experience and tons of info about the falls. Our guide also took is to Accah Falls. Enjoyed our time. Low riding cars will have trouble getting there. Some areas on the trekk to the falls are horrible roads. Be informed that some time during dey season the falls May be totally dried up. is NOT ONE drop of water. And in the height of raining season the water from the falls will flood up to the steps. There are 250 steps down to the falls. Those same stairs have to be climbed up from the falls. There is a quaint and humble guest house there of two rooms. A lady is there setting some small items of jewelry and fruit.

This was a trip organised by the 1983 year group of Nifa Secondary school. We were celebrating 40 years after completing secondary school. Full of fun enjoying nature and refreshing ourselves with good memories of school life. When you have time, please go chill out there.

During dry season (late February), there is only one fall (as you can see). Entry for foreigners is 30 GHS now. Parking is safe and there is 248 steps down towards the main area with falls. SUV car is needed because last 10 kilometres = pure hell.

It's supposed to be one of the biggest tourism site in the country but the road network leading there is so bad. Nevertheless the journey is worth it. Apart from the water fall, there is a long trek of exercise to see some other breathtaking natural scape, along some steep slope and up some hills. U have to come with two sets of clothes and another for swimming if u wanna take a dip in the water

It's a beautiful gated place with reception and place you can relax and have some drinks. There's enough space for your cars. The falls is so amazing and very you can also go for a boat ride. It's cold around the falls

One of the best places to get closer to nature in Ghana at it's finest with the unique culture, with other tourist attractions around the area makes it one of the best tourist journey one can embark on. Heads up there is a canoe ride that you can enjoy and get real close to the water when the season is right. Experience it yourself, nothing can be better than seeing and experiencing at first hand😊😊😊

A totally amazing experience. From breathtaking views (although the general infrastructure could use a facelift) to a hike that'll literally take your breathe away. The breeze at the umbrella rock could put you to bed though. And there's no need to worry about water and drinks after the hike as there's vendors up there. I spent a total of 45 cedis on the tour including; the entrance fee, the fee for the tour guide and the canoe ride. Ask for tour guide Ken, he's entertaining and super nice. Ps: Wear comfortable shoes

It is worth visiting this place if you are a bit obsessed by natural sights. The falls are quite close to the entrance just a 5-minute walk down paved stairs. The best to visit a few days or even a week after a heavy rain when the water volume can still feed the both falls but you may also have the option to swim in or walk into to the lake. The fee is around 50 cedis (Oct, 2019) for foreigners but a photographer equipment, like camera or drone anything applicable to take professional photos will be charged separately.

I had mixed feelings about this location. When we got there it was very confusing who we were supposed to talk to. When we finally found the right guy he charged us 30 cedis a person. A lot of reviews on Google said it was 20 cedis so I think he over charged us. Then he told us it would be 200 cedis to take pictures with our camera. So if you want to bring a camera I would advise not having it in the open until you arrive at the falls. After we paid we took the short walk down the 250 stairs to the falls. We traveled to Ghana in January during the dry season so the falls were not very large. Our guide told us that May-July is the best time to go. The falls were still very pretty but January just isn't the best time to go. So the falls are great, the people just weren't the best.

Boti Waterfalls is a must visit to anyone staying, working or holidaying in the Accra region of Ghana. Leaving Accra at 05.00hrs, you miss all the traffic and can have a really good days trip. Do your homework before you leave as there are other sights you can add to your trip, including other waterfalls.

I went to Boti Falls for my third visit in April 2023 (previously visited in 2008 & 2012), this time with my wife & daughter (my wife was with me in 2012, our daughter visiting Boti Falls for the 1st time). Firstly, the Falls - absolutely spectacular ! At one point, I had considered using it as the venue for my wife & I to get married, but practicalities got in the way, and we married in my home country of Australia, rather than returning to Ghana. The walk down to the falls from the park entrance is down a set of concrete steps, which is not for the faint-hearted, as it's done in steamy tropical rainforest. However, at the base is a beach, and the plunge pool for the twin falls of Boti, which look spectacular. Visitors can also have a canoe ride from one of the locals for a fee. Boti Falls is ALWAYS spectacular, but focusing on the comparison between my last visit and this visit, the comparisons are as follows: 1) The only work that has been done since I left in 2012 is to the entrance to the falls (see my YouTube video - the entrance is partially completed in 2012, but is now completed), which has a high gate, and what appears to be a kind of admin centre of sorts. The roads between Koforidua to Boti Falls, and particularly the last 5km from the junction to Boti are TERRIBLE. I would compare the road as having looked like it was subjected to an artillery barrage, it was that bad. I was borrowing my sister-in-law's car, and several times my wife suggested we just turn back, but somehow we got there. If anyone from the Ghanaian government is reading - this road, to one of your great attractions, needs URGENT work to fix. It was bad in 2012, but is worse to the point of unusable now, and without work soon, traffic will not be able to get through at all. 2) In 2012, the Falls appeared to be the subject of major investment, with chalets and entertainment areas being worked on, and I left in the presumption that it would be completed at some point in the future. However, on returning in 2023, it appears not one single thing had been worked on since (except for the previously-mentioned entrance), and everything that was being done in 2012 has been abandoned, and some probably is at the point where it needs to be demolished now. The only things that appear to function are the entrance, and also there is a bar of sorts there that has some drinks, but it was clearly built for something grander (it appears it was going to be a restaurant or chop bar). It was disappointing to see the visitor area So, while the Falls themselves have always impressed me greatly, it's sad to see the infrastructure around it devolve. In some ways, it was better on my first visit, in the absence of partially completed and decaying buildings. My 2012 video is available on YouTube under the user name "Ghanapedia", so searching for the user name + Boti Falls will provide an interesting insight into then & now.

Need a vehicle to drive to boti. Then you have to climb down a few steps to reach it. During the dry season the waterfalls aren't that spectacular but still a great way to spend an hour or two. There is a boat that will take you for a short ride around the falls for a nominal fee.

This was my first visit in over 15 years. I was rather disappointed that the falls had dried up. The hike to the umbrella rock however brought some ''healing''

Nice place to be but very horrible road. Restaurant services not available. No special section for kids so it makes the place over crowded with kids during school holidays

Are you looking for a nice serene place to enjoy nature through hiking? If yes then look no further than Boti Falls. The place is out of the blue! Hiking within the forest, climbing and descending mountains is such a life time experience. With tour guides to take you through the journey, you have no fear of getting lost. I really love the place, also give it a try.
