The environment is very nice, food is good. However my door couldnโ€™t lock properly. You can not be charging outrageous prices for rooms with cheap doors that can not be locked. Do you expect us to sleep with the doors unlocked? Secondly, THE BEDS ARE TOO SMALL!!

The river front resort is strategically placed right by the waterfront with excellent and serene view. You see many people in boats going by daily. The design is good with a lot of trees, shades and blends very well with nature. The restaurant is positioned right by the lake on stilts so you see the water underneath with fishes inside. You can leave some of your toast to feed the fish. It is a bed and breakfast with a good line up of food . In the afternoon there is a buffet with an array of assortments, usually local and some continental which is good. Rooms were not super but average but cost was very high, not sure if it was because of the Christmas holidays. Would advice you make reservations first so you don't get disappointed. We paid for a family room with an adjoining room, was not synonymous with the pricing (overly priced). Staff are awesome with full security detail even at the car park which was great. Looked the food at the restaurant and the cultural display at the background which drumming and dancing.

The room is very ordinary. Bathroom was not clean and water wasn't flowing well. Both dinner and breakfast buffets were very nice. The scenery was very lovely and the waitresses are very helpful. Will highly recommend their meals and environmental coziness.

A very cozy yet beautiful resort with Ghanaian coupled with African artistic design which overlooks the magnificent Volta Lake. A Boat ride over the lake sure does the magic but you can also decide to have a swim in their swimming pool at a cost if you are there just for a visit. Buffet menu priced at 150 Ghana cedis with a variety of both local and continental dishes. Their Cocktails are wonderful. Excellent services overall.

It's difficult to decide how to rate the place when you're getting a range of emotions from very positive to very negative ones. Let me start with the positives. The location, the views, the tranquil nature around this place are simply stunning. I am fairly new to Africa so it still makes me happy to see its greens, and reds, and yellows. The food and the service around the canteen area were top notch. Guys and girls there made us really welcome and were responding well to all our requests. One little annoyance was around the time it took them to cook the dinner (about 35 minutes) but it was rather late and the kitchen might have been understaffed. Now, to the not-so-good part of the review. We booked the most expensive rooms, which was agreed verbally over the phone before we set off. When we arrived we were told all those rooms were taken and instead we were offered a couple of really small and mouldy rooms quite far from all the amenities. After us making a scene a few better rooms were miraculously found. Now, as we saw, the rooms are really different in quality, so there might be better (or much worse) ones, but even the rooms we ended up in were... rather tired. The bathroom was in a need of urgent refurbishment, the water was not flowing well and the hot water in the shower ran out in 2 minutes. The walls were patchy, the furniture beaten and there were dead cockroaches on the floor in the morning. Well, at least the A/C worked well and the windows were tight enough to keep mosquitoes out. So, a mixed bag, but overall I liked it thanks to the views and the people who served us (not the management).

The environment was very relaxing and the natural atmosphere had a positive effect on me. Kudos to the managers and all their staffs. Not forgetting their great food "hmmm" that's really something worth paying for. I will travel all the way from Accra and come and enjoy with my friends again and again.

Their customer service is great and about their live band oh mine oh mine I enjoyed with my family. The buffet should have more varieties than what is served now. The rooms are spacious and neat but the WiFi doesnโ€™t work properly in some areas. The boat cruise experience is wonderful. Their prices are cool!

Very beautifully designed in a unique way . I love this place because of its greenery and bamboos designs. Itโ€™s a very peaceful place to be relaxed n enjoy. We also got the chance to met its owner, who is a very gentle and a friendly person . Planning to visit here again ๐Ÿ˜Š

It appears the place had slightly improved since the last time I visited. The room was quiet okay but the bed was really uncomfortable. It had 2 single mattresses joined together, hence lying in the middle of the bed was not pleasant. We were told the room had a jacuzzi making it a bit more expensive but as expected it was a bath tub and not worth the extra cost. The WiFi also didnโ€™t seem to reach our room. The buffet dinner tasted good but the options were very limiting. Overall Afrikiko is a beautiful place with good food and beautiful views.

Very beautiful place to visit. The natural setup with abundance of ornamental plants create the ideal atmosphere for relaxation. Their well manicured lawns and cozy canopy walkways add up to the beauty of the facility They have affordable accomodation with breakfast. Afrikiko has buffets on weekends.

The location is convenient and easy to find. Their menu has a wide array of dishes and the open restaurant view is serene, the waiting time for food and drinks was appreciably short. However flies can be a nuisance when eating. There are also outdoor games to keep you engaged.

Right from being located conveniently close to the Asuogyaman-Atimpoku road, the resort has beautiful scenery with breathtaking views of the lake. Rooms were very well kept except for some maintenance issues like weak wardrobe boards and faulty taps. Overall best impression was the food! My God! Their food was superb. Wide variety buffet with very healthy choices to choose from. Would definitely love to go back for another vacation.

It was a fun place to be. Very serene and cozy. The food was good. Lots of activities to do. Football, volleyball, table tennis, swimming, boat rides. The walkway to the lakeside is excellent for pictures. I had a great time there

The view is just fabulous! Beautiful grounds and the decor is both rustic and elegant. I did not stay here, so I cannot comment on the rooms. I just stopped by for lunch. Presentation wise, all of the food looked amazing. I'm not a meat eater, but I hear that their meat dishes are delicious. If you love spicy food this is the place for you! Even the rice was spicy and very tasty, but my fish was a bit dry. The yam chips were not that great either. So get the jollof rice and the local cuisine....very spicy and tasty!

It was an enjoyable trip. Boat rides gives you a great view of the Adome bridge. Didnโ€™t enjoy the buffet dishes.

Their Tilapia which cost 150 cedis was the worst and most expensive tilapia I ever tasted. Dry and bland. Definitely not worth the price. However, this hotel has very beautiful scenery. Lots of trees, flowers, grass etc. Very serene. That I liked a lot..but never again for food.

Afrikiko River Front Resort is a true jewel ensconced within nature's verdant embrace. The enticing blend of tranquility and scenic beauty is breathtaking, providing an immersive experience rarely matched elsewhere. The gastronomic delights served here are both varied and tantalizing, with the kitchen team impeccably balancing authentic local flavors with more familiar international cuisine. Notable also, is the warm, welcoming staff whose readiness to serve and commitment to providing expressive service enhances the overall experience. The well-maintained resort, the view, serenity, scrumptious food, and dedicated staff fuse perfectly to make Afrikiko River Front Resort an ideal getaway.

Everyone now a day blame COVID-19 to be lazy. They restaurant area look dull and messy with all the staff. Sat at a table, no one attended to us until I call the guy who walk pass us to serve some tabel far away from the bar area, because they were with a follow they apparently know. After few minutes he came to ask if we were on honeymoon package, and I replied No, after that I was treated like I was begging for my food. A table far away from restaurant got served before me eventhough I had ordered my food before them. Long story short. Stay away from here not worth your hard earned money.

Absolutely beautiful landscape and helpful staff. There are a few inefficiencies though like the WIFI not being consistent and the staff sometimes don't track the food you eat so if you don't tell them they might not charge you. However, the live band on Saturdays are amazing and the view! Beautiful

It's always a pleasure to be at Afrikiko. It's is located right at the edge of the Volta Lake so if you are a person who enjoys for instance a view while taking a drink, eating or working, the place offers a very good and comparatively a cheaper option. Rooms rates can be as low as 450 Ghana Cedis a night with breakfast. You can choose to even eat the breakfast on a canoe ride which doesn't cost much. It's a great place to just get away to when it comes finding privacy and relaxation.

This river front hotel has beautiful view and garden. A small resort but nice. A little facility upgrade will make it a paradise to stay, but still a good place to rest

The location is nice right on the river banks, nice architecture. Only flaw the washrooms, few toilets and very small room for washing. Food is ok though the dish I ask for was in the menu but (guess what) not available... And the waiter mistook an order for one of my colleague. But don't choose the place if you're in a hurry. Though the clients were not many waiting time was biblical, some of us had to wait for a beef dish around 35+ minutes. Maybe the bull run out and they had to chase him back.

Beautiful environment overlooking the Volta lake. Good food with respectful workers, customer care was on point. The manager knows his job and does it to perfection. Saturday night live band is something else. The band is too good. Would love to visit there again and again and again ....... what an ambience!

John was a great host. Really cares about the service you receive and the views you need to have whilst visiting their restaurant. The food was a delight. The starters were fantastic and the main was also lovely. The only downside was the beef in my palava sauce was very tough and hard to chew. Besides that, the portion sizes were very generous and had to take the rest back to my AirBnB. We will definitely be back again.

My wife and I visited a couple of weeks ago, and I must confess, it is the best weekend getaway we've ever had. The place was beyond perfect; the food was super and their customer service was excellent. I want particularly thank Prince & Abigail for wonderful service, these two made our time at the restaurant unforgettable. If you are looking for the perfect weekend getaway for the family, Afrikiko River Front Resort is definately the place to go.

Nice and quiet environment, I have personally appreciated one waiter who was very professional to the extend of returning the change we gave him has pourboire until we clarified that it was his ( he is dark, skinny and not really tall, he looks really young too). However, I noticed that the rest of the staff were nonchalantโ€ฆ also we saw the captain throwing a bottle in the lake ( I felt it was insane because as a captain he was supposed to know the value of keeping the lake clean)

Great river front location. Beautiful landscaping however rooms need some refurbishment and some professionalism needs to be injected into customer service. As for the Saturday night live band, no size in Akosombo and their boat captain is excellent.
