This place lives up to expectation. For me, what makes its exceptional is the environment. Plush green with modern contemporary African styled buildings. The rooms also reflect this theme. It’s a great place to relax and unwind. The food is good and offers but local Ghanaian and continental meal. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

Jeez where do I even begin from😄 This place has almost everything you need for the perfect getaway experience..I mean it's a little on the expensive side but all things considered it's actually worth every single cedi. The attention to detail of the designs is really exquisite and I feel like this place isn't really getting the recognition it deserves as compared to some of the other resorts in the country. The closeness to nature makes it even better and there wasn't a single second I got bored of this beautiful place. Beautiful scenery

You feel like a Royal in Senchi. Everything is top notch and luxurious: from customer service to quality! Buffet is tasty and there’s variety. I love their concept of the traditional and simple architectural setting and vibes. You will fall in love with this beautiful and luxurious 4 star hotel. I’m definitely returning!!

Was a nice hangout with my bro. The place is efficiently run looking at the number of guest. Its not the flashiest of resorts but everything works well. They should be your next destination for a weekend getaway 😋.

The resort is beautiful! The atmosphere glows with serenity. We went to have lunch there and had to return to Accra. Loved their jollof and grilled chicken! Beautiful views. Note: The restaurant manager or supervisor insisted pictures weren’t allowed inside the restaurant for privacy reasons though I told him I only took pictures of the environment. There were no customers in there when we got there though.

Really enjoyed the place aside the very minute cold experience with a front desk lady but that didn’t deter us from having a very very lovely time at the place. The location is just perfect with fun activities to accommodate just the right mindset for relaxing and having fun at the same. Restaurant staff are just so so nice and the river front view at night from the hotel rooms are just on point. Breath taking!!!! Sunset by the river is an experience to just open your mouth(eyes) and watch. Kayak on the river is also another fun activity. Don’t go during the busy periods, do a weekday visit, you’ll thank me later and use this review as your reference, insist on a discount. 😄 Through me 3 friends have already visited the place. It’s a must visit location.

Had their breakfast buffet which had quite a variety. Great stop on our way to Ho to fill our belly. The environment is very serene, quiet and clean.

I visited for lunch and a stroll. The grounds are beautiful. There was a live band near the pool and restaurant, and the music added to the atmosphere. Our food was delicious, although it took over an hour to arrive. To avoid the long wait, I recommend asking the staff for a list of food items that won’t take so long (if you’re hungry and not keen on waiting). Before or after your meal, you can walk to the pier and take a boat ride on the river. Beautiful views.

Lovely lovely facility!! As close to nature as you can get away from the hassles of town!! I thought the staff waiting at tables were too fast in clearing up used plates and at some point it was getting on my nerves. However when I went to another hotel in Accra immediately after leaving the Royal Senchi I appreciated the professionalism of the staff at Royal Senchi. Kudos to them as they have been well trained. They had a lovely touch of leaving a Royal Senchi branded chocolate bar on my bed each day. Had a lovely time at the Royal Senchi and would recommend it any day to friends

Great place, expensive costs to pay for maintenance, need more activities and food choices. Air conditioning in rooms are an issue if you are used to foreign standards of comfort. Need to work on staff addressing needs of customers over arbitrary needs of management. No clear reason for stuff that makes no sense. Like I was on the driving range and the bar in view with no customers and 2 bartenders weren't allowed to bring me a drink menu. Other simple incidents that make me want to drive to coconut nut Grove resort next time.

First time visiting this resort and couldn’t ask for better. Much relaxing, good food. Only con is the food wait times for ordering. Usually was 45-1hr in length to wait unless you got the buffet. Would recommend.

The service is exceptional right from the main gate. What they give you is an experience. Their facility is wheelchair accessible. Their garlic bread is sensational and affordable at GHc 30 as at March 2022. They have peppered peanuts they also serve as a free snack and they taste great and fresh. Only try them if you like pepper. The whole ambience is really nice and relaxing. The cost of their rooms are on the higher side so be sure to check their website to confirm and book if you intend to spend the night. One very minor thing I noticed which is there were no houseflies! I got to enjoy my meal in peace without fighting flies. I'm not sure if it's their doing but whatever it is, it's nice.

Senchi does give a truly Royal experience.The Royal Honeymoon package is the best.My husband and I had a very memorable experience.We got much much more than we paid for. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Such a lovely destination.Beautiful place.We loved the natural feel of the place-,buildings,trees, water etc.The architecture and engineering is fantastic! Our ferry ride was pleasant and refreshing. Food is just so delicious.Lovely atmosphere all over.The jazzy music ...aaaah lovely.We are thankful for a truly pleasant stay. Can't wait to get back soonest!

Truly a very nice location in the middle of nowhere. Lush greenery, the ability to tour the lake and see the private islands, you may rent the boat for yourself and friends and enjoy some truly unique moments. You can eat local food as well as enjoy international food, with amazing chefs. Indoor buffet or outside by the pool. The rooms feel unique, its not the Big City finish, but definitely you feel the luxury and the care with the small details. A place to visit whenever you get the chance, it is worth the detour

Senchi is good. Really good. Yes it’s quite “expensive” but there’s a lot of things to give you a good experience. The river activities, nice pool. Breakfast buffet options. Dedicated staff members. All in all a good place for a getaway, especially a romantic one. Some more activities on a Friday night would be nice though.

Nice resort, the scenery is beautiful and the rooms are also nice with awesome view. There also a swimming pool at the resort. They facilities are very nice. During my stay at dinner time the food took too long to be served, other than that its a very nice place near the Volta river.

The parking lot to the front lobby entrance is an eyeful. The gardens are manicured to perfection, beautiful trees, shrubs, bush and flowers everywhere . The lobby leads to the pool and restaurant area where all the senses are ignited. The sites, sounds, aromas and elegant decor surround you in luxurious essentials. Great food too, WOW!

This hotel is unfortunately totally overpriced. We are used to the typical more or less low standard in West Africa and it is very sad to see that Ghana is somehow not able to do things better for the many tourists. Therefore it was interesting to check out the only 4 star hotel in Ghana. But this hotel is everything but a 4 star hotel. It is far away from being 4 star. The receptionists were not really nice or supportive. The restaurant is more a canteen than a 4 star restaurant. The food of the buffet in the evening was always cold (still!...check out the previous ratings). The service is poor all the time. My wife had to wave for 30 min at the pool to get the attention of the service staff of the bar to order drinks but everyone was playing with their phones. The umbrellas at the pool were all broken same as the wood surrounding the pool where rusty nails are coming out and one could easily get a cut from the sharp edges of the woods (see my pictures). Even I could have made a foam for a cappuccino that it thicker than what you get served there. And regarding the rooms, it is really annoying to not have a proper separation between the toilet and the rest of the room. We also tried the massage at the spa which were an equally disappointing experience.

Lovely environment, I love greenery so I was happy to see that. The boat ride was amazing. Did not have the chance to sleep there nor eat their food but I believe it is good judging from the people I saw there.

We visited there and really loved the environment, very serene, kids playground, boat cruise 🚢, good food 🥘 etc. their buffet was good too. Visit there for a treat of a lifetime.

Recently had a day excursion and want to give a shout-out to Kenneth, the supervisor, and Enock, my boat excursions captain. I pre-booked, and Kenneth went above and beyond his duty to ensure our snacks were pre-ordered and a relaxation area reserved for us after the boat cruise. Priscilla at the reception warmly welcomed us. Overall, a fantastic experience with an excellent team.

This is an amazing place to lodge. One thing I love most is their food. It is on point at all times, whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or when it comes to the type of food. They are tasty and enjoyable. The hotel attendants are very friendly and ready to assist, I love their positive disposition and the smile on all their faces when attending to you. Another exiting thing to look at for is the activities you can enjoy when you lodge at Royal synching Hotel, the swimming pool is clean and nice with the depths of 5mter as the deepest part of the pool which I consider okay. Tennis is available, table tennis and other interesting games you can play, another one is the interesting boat ride. You should not miss it. It is for 120 Ghs per head, and it is worth every penny. Most people will be interested in their wonderful scenery, which is good for pictures. So I recommend this place as a nice place and a one-stop for vacation centre.

Stopped by to have lunch and have a look at the place during another day trip to the Akosombo area. I visited the area a few days ago and had to come back since the hills, trees, water, and nature are so much nicer than Accra. Cleaner air too. The resort is large, but the pool seems to be smaller than the one at La Palm in Accra. The outdoor dining seating area was nice enough, but I couldn't see the Volta River. The outdoor seating at Mekandi resort on the other side of the river has a much better view and more wind to keep cool. The Red Red was delicious and so was the cheesy bread. A friend said that his stew was good. The table service was adequate. The roads to/from the resort were in horrendous condition, but a side benefit of the poor roads was a slower drive that enabled us to soak up greenery.

Lovely out of city Located luxury. The Lands are enormous and the screenery, is out of this world. Enjoyed every moment of being there. So many fun things to do as well, fantastic boat ride to see the Volta Lake and the bridge. Simply stunning.

Exceptionally crafted holiday resort that is worth its cost. Luxury, executive, comfort well blended to give you value for your money. Welcoming staff at your service always. The breakfast and dinner buffet offers enough of blended local and inter-contitenantal menus. Hang on, a well stocked mini fridge in the rooms with assorted drinks including beer, wine come as complimentary, a rare service you will find in the Industry. Facilities include indoor gym that offers ample space to play table tennis, the ever welcoming swimming pool that overloooks the Volta river is grand, clean and have life guards around. That sense of appreciation for the hotel manager to come around to interact with guests making sure all is fine and to get direct unadulterated feedback. Kudos! What I can guarantee is that the resort managers are ready to meeting your needs; the fine amiable Marketing Manager Mr. Emmanuel Mensah will always work out something for you when contacted. A 5 star recommendation!

Incredible place with excellence at all levels. We went as a group of 4 people booking 3 rooms. Everything was exceptional. The service, food, location, room Will definitely be going time again and plan to stay late longer. There was a fabulous boat trip on the river accessible from the resort. The grounds and rooms were extremely clean and well kept. Just Brilliant!

One of the best resorts in Ghana and around. Rooms are good with nice river view. Pool is good. They have nice restaurants and child play options. Ferry round to Volta River is a magnificent. Only area of improvement is their restaurants. Many of the Items mentioned in menu are not available. During breakfast time, they don't serve food items near the pool area as staff is busy, which is a big limitation here. Else i would have definitely given 5 starts.

The Royal Senchi has my heart ❤️ Just from seeing the pictures and reviews online, I was really looking forward to staying at the Royal Senchi for the weekend and they did not disappoint! We loved everything about the place from the moment we got there. The professional welcome at reception made a great first impression. They say in business that you have 7 seconds to make a good first impression and at Royal Senchi they definetly succeeded in this. The customer service was top class 👏🏿 👌🏿. The porter Bernard Owusu Ansah who took our bags to our room was so polite, professional, very knowledgeable and helpful. All the waitresses that served us in the restaurant were wonderful, I can't remember all of their names, only Esther, but with all of them, their customer service was 5 star 💫. The food was great, from breakfast through to dinner. The pool was nice and clean. The whole ambience of the place is so welcoming and relaxing. The man who took us for the boat ride was so knowledgeable and friendly, he took great pictures of us as we approached the Adomi bridge, and he answered our many questions, it was a great boat tour! Unfortunately the only thing that wasn't so good was the massage in the spa. The massage was quite painful for the both of us. I had to ask the masseuse to calm down a bit because it was very painful, even though she reduced the pressure, the massage still wasn't relaxing at all and I was happy when it was over. I usually love massages, but this was just uncomfortable. They also didn't give us guidance such as to drink lots of water after because of the release of toxins, which I'm used to hearing either before or after a massage. Apart from the massage, everything else was almost perfect. I would recommend The Royal Senchi to everyone. We'll definetly be back for another weekend getaway. The Royal Senchi is the ultimate haven for relaxation, peace and tranquility 💎.

Everything 5 stars. Just one thing. Normally You should take a shower before enter the swimming pool. But I saw 3 times, some of the woman in the swimming pool with clothes, normal clothes. Skirt, t-shirt etc (also underwear). So it’s very dangerous issue for our children

Vast landscaping with so much activities to do: from playing gulf to water sports and boat ride to amazing live band performances? I love the fact that i am presented with the option of sitting inside the restuarant or outside to have a view of the greenery and pools whilst eating My first kayaking experience was here and it was so much fun...coming from one who is so scared of water?? The rooms are just amazing. I love the welcome chocolate bars as well and the fact that the room opens to balcony which gives a great view of the volta lake. When in and around the Akosombo area, don't miss a chance at Royal Senchi...whether for food, water sports or drink just to indulge??

This is a really nice hotel. Excellent staff and service. Beautiful, serene atmosphere. Expertly designed rooms with a unique African vibe. Open buffet was really good, although the selection of dishes was a little limited, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Overall this is a first class hotel, with everything going for it. Highly recommended.

We were at The Royal Senchi for their Saturday buffet and boat rides on the Volta Lake. The Royal Senchi is a welcoming haven stretching across several acres of land. Their structures are built with earth materials and roofed with thatch, giving the place a cool ambience and an Afrocentric vibe. Some of the hotel rooms have views of the Volta Lake. From the hotel, you can go on the boat ride on the Lake Volta, going below the Adomi Bridge and circling the islands within the lake. Go for a day's getaway, enjoy their brunch and take a boat ride. That makes for an amazing experience at a reasonable cost.
