It was lovely stay in this hotel.. 2 minutes from the airport, nice room with all amenities needed, staff were very responsive and helpful. One of my friends lost her Bose headphones, they found it and kept it, they hand it to me when I ask about it two weeks after (that was surprising and amazing) Hotel is nice with good buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool is nice and the sitting area around it is nice and clean. I really enjoy my stay.. I’ll be back ;-)

This is a place to be, starting from the entrance, there comes the feelings of what you are about to experience, smart dressed security guards on suits, I will proudly say that it is one of the most safest hotel in Ghana, the home of foreigners, the aviation &co. No doubt because of the closeness to the Airport, and it's peaceful and conducive environment.

Asides the proximity to the airport, I don’t think there’s anything special about this hotel. After spending four nights at Movenpick Hotel, I moved here thinking I would have another great experience. Despite being pricier than Movenpick Hotel, I wasn’t impressed. The first thing that put me off was the tattered leather chairs at the lobby, I honestly expected more from a hotel like this. Another thing I noticed the first night I came, I called the front desk continuously and there was no pickup. The rooms are cool but then it’s as it should be. The pool didn’t stand out for me, it felt like a basic house swimming pool. Asides these, every other thing is cool.

The stay was very pleasant and the buffet food was good. Not great, but good. IF YOU NEED A AIRPORT SHUTTLE:: Tell five people and ensure they actually called the driver. It DOES NOT run on the hour as advertised. I thought about less stars, but it was very comfortable there, shuttle notwithstanding.

The reception (excellent customer services) we got here coupled with the ambience of the place was just amazingly awesome. Everyone makes you feel at home- from the young men at the door to the beautiful souls at the reception/bar/restaurant, to the room keepers. Amazing service all round.

It was a business meeting at one of the Halls so I didn't really get to explore the hotel. The interior is great. The ambience is world class, and the service is average. They would however have to boost their physical security, especially at the entrance. Services could also be topnotched to match the ambience.

Beautiful hotel but still lucks some key element. for example the staffs are all mostly moody as if their are not well paid. With the Marriot reputation of keeping their workers happy, for some funny reasons the Ghana branch is filled with sad bitter worker.

It's always amazing hanging out there. When time is a priority, it's a perfect convenience for international visitors. It's a walking distance from both international and local airport in Accra. I love the ambience and I enjoy the free WiFi available for all guests.

Everything goes fine and well except the concierge employees when you ask them for something especially females they would be answering you no I don't know. Which is not good at all time, try to say no with smile and try to have a welcoming face especially when you work at the main gate of entrance in the hotel Thank you .

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The stay was great. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is a great place to relax and enjoy your day and the hotel restaurant is perfect. Had the breakfast and dinner buffet in the hotel, the food was amazing and the service with great. Gablah the restaurant manager was super, he came to check on the experience and how everything is going. Keep it up.

The location was the most ideal thing about this place, it’s a short 10 min walk from the airport or a few mins shuttle bus if you can get one. Sadly the rooms feel a bit unloved, bathrooms especially. They have mould and damp issues arising from the fact they have no ventilation. Our shower had no shower trim along the glass panel which meant our floor was flooded. If you’re just staying one night you can easily venture to the nearby Burger King or Pizza Hut for some familiarity but beware of the young guys who will be friendly and want things from you! The biggest failure for this place was we asked for a late check out from 2 people on different occasions, literally even just 30 or 60 mins more but they said no. It was quite frustrating - especially when you ended up seeing people being checked in early! Lack of consistency all round which was a shame.

The hotel is convenient to the airport and many local attractions. The lobby restaurant is nice . I had a wonderful day. The staff was amazing. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to many sites by car. We were helped many times over by staff who served with great cheer.Looking forward to to our next visit.

Accra Marriott Hotel is an absolute gem! As a young explorer, I'm always on the hunt for unique experiences, and this place exceeded my expectations. The customer service was on point, with a friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The architecture? A total feast for the eyes! Bold and creative, it sets the mood for an unforgettable evening. The food was scrumptious, and the ambiance was just right. Even though I didn't stay overnight, this place left a lasting impression, and I'm already planning my next visit!

I had lunch with my family at Marriot Accra and was amazed at the variety of foods available. I was especially happy with the wide array of local Ghanaian cuisine displayed in authentic traditional cookware. Most importantly the food tasted exactly like they were supposed to. Kudos to the chefs. Don't get me started on the protein choices and desert 😋. Overall we had a great time and will definitely recommend 👌🏽. The only down sides are the price and that awful carpeting which gave that area a 60's/70's vibe😄

Close to Accra Airport, a decent place. Thought I have not stayed there, went to meet someone...Used their cafe. Service was good. Location, about 400 meters from Accra Airport. I have been to 20+ Marriott properties, this one is not as luxurious as others. It could be better.

Plush hotel in Ghana! I have never been to the room, but I am told they meet standards. I have been here for a buffet, awards event, and wedding The staff are not the most welcoming staff for a place of high standards. The place is nice and the food is good 👍. A good location in the city center.

I give their kitchen all the accolades. So many options for the buffet. They respond instantly to room requests and that was very professional. My only issue was the dirty swimming pool.

I stayed for 6 days and 5 nights for a Business trip. I was a tad concerned about my first trip to Africa, but the hotel, starting with the prompt shuttle service alleviated all my concerns. Hotel staff were excellent, food and service was excellent and easy access to a western style mall in walking distance to get supplies/snacks. The executive lounge was top notch also. This will be the only hotel I use for future trips to Accra.

Don’t stay here!!!!!!. Movenpick Hotel is even much better, cleaner and has fresh air in the building. You can open hotel windows but you must sign a safety form. The food is perfect too and staff are nice and welcoming. The pool is perfect and there is so much outdoor space to relax and get some sun. The BAD 1. Air quality: Indoor air quality isn’t good! Everywhere in the hotel, including the rooms have a moldy smell. The smell itself isn’t welcoming at all. Stay away from this hotel if you have respiratory issues or just don’t like a dirty hotel. 2. Be warned: If you have respiratory issues or other similar health problems, please AVOID staying at this hotel! You will only get sick and sicker! Like I said, the air quality is not good! I had to wear my mask all the time, I was waking up with red and itchy eyes, and I was sneezing a lot. I didn’t last, I had to cut my stay short. 3. Toilets with not air ventilation or fan: The bedroom toilets don’t have a ventilation system. No fan at all. The smell from everything you do in that toilet will spread to the bedroom area. There isn’t a tight closed door. The rooms get super moist due to lack of ventilation. It’s not a pleasant stay at all. 4. Shower: The shower wasn’t well designed. Water from the shower will flood your toilet floor if you aren’t careful. 5. The carpets in the rooms are smelly, dump, and just too old. The furniture in the rooms are just dirty. I didn’t feel comfortable sitting on the couches or placing my things on the tables in there. It’s just nasty. Even a dirty person wouldn’t stay here. 6. Windows. You can’t open the windows in the hotel room,so there isn’t any fresh air. The windows are always locked. I felt like I was suffocating. I couldn’t breath well. 7. Laundry is extremely expensive….find somewhere else to do it or bring enough clean clothes 8. The women staff at the front desk were extremely rude to me. I didn’t appreciate it at all. The Good 1. The food was perfect 2. Perfect location

Great place to stay for your business or official projects. So close to the airport and convenient to travel. However, their beds or mattresses were old and uncomfortable for me. Must try breakfast coconut drink and near KFC, BK, and grocery market. For my second stay, next room was noisy.

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The service is really good, everyone is helpful and nice. The location it can be bad or good. It's very close to the airport. So it depends a lot on what exactly you need: to be in the city or just a night to sleep and places to do business.

Marriot is so close to the airport. Rooms are super tidy and comfy. Great place to meet for meetings, with free WiFi. There is a weekly seafood buffet as well, which is to die for (hopefully still happens). Over great experiences 😌 👌

It's strategically located close to the airport. The building is an edifice full of beautiful artworks. Staff are dedicated and professional. Rooms are spacious and welcoming with all essentials to make your stay memorable. Their food is great, I learned they employed some of the best chef. Food is usually buffet with refill been done regularly. In all, I enjoyed my stay.

Overall, not bad. The location is close to the airport which is nice. The pool was warm and very nice, and big enough to swim laps in. The on-site restaurant wasn't great for dinner, but the bar area has decent finger-foods. Breakfast was very good, tons of options and their coffee was fantastic. There is a small mall with a grocery store, and several restaurants within walking distance. We had no issues walking there, just be careful of the traffic. Fitness center is lacking; they have a couple of treadmills and bikes, a few weight machines, and some free weights. Random free weights were missing, and out of 3 weight machines there was only one weight rack pin (so you couldn't use the other machines without swapping it over). They did screw up charging my credit card initially. Instead of placing an incidental hold, they charged $2500 USD immediately at check in. When checking out, they were supposed to refund the difference. The refund never showed up on my card, so it took a few emails to get it resolved. The room overall was pretty good. My shower drained very slow initially, and they fixed it once I mentioned it to them. The bed was very comfortable. There was no hot water in the shower; several of us had this same problem, and when we told the front desk they told us that's the way it is. At the hottest setting, it was lukewarm; not a problem when you come in from outside and you're hot and sweaty, but it sucked in the morning when the AC was on.

Top location but overpriced looking at the state of interior of the hotel and the services you get. The bar has only 2 local beers, waiters are slow in bringing the orders, rest rooms out dated.. not worth calling it a 5 star hotel. Location is good but not worth 400$ a night. For that money you can stay in very nice other places in Accra.

I didn't appreciate that I was asked to provide my credit card to hold for payment when I checked in, with out being informed that when it is released that it will take 14 days. And it took two days to get response from the team. Quite an annoying experience.

My room needed maintenance. The AC sound was unbearable and at the same time you can not turn it off. rooms need renovation as they are not at all Mariott standard. the shower too old and drain not working well. i was not able to sleep for 3 consecutive days. i asked to change room but instead they have set my AC to 17duing the day so i came at evening to enter a freezer. i guess they misunderstood the issue i had.

This was one of the best Marriott properties I have stayed in West Africa. Where they stand out is customer service. Everyone makes you feel very welcome and constantly check on you to ensure you don't need anything. I received a nice email prior to arrival from Ms. Claudia (Guest Experience Supervisor). Although I didn't get early check since I arrived prior to check in time, I was allowed to hang out in the lounge and Ms. Claudia came in to personally welcome me. The room was very clean and compares to any Marriott worldwide. The breakfast was great and the atmosphere was relaxing and classy. I would definitely stay here anytime I come to Accra.

It was 3 night stay for me, but a beautiful experience, The design and architecture of the hotel beautiful got lost staring. I loved the buffet food, crazy human I’m lol. The helpfulness of their staff and i couldn’t get town to swim at their pool since is closes at 7pm and I had to register my dinner whenever I brought food to my room. The follow the covid protocol well and have sanitizers and a temperature screening as you get into the hotel

The family went over for Saturday buffet lunch. It closes at 3pm, we got there after 1:30pm. It cost GHC115 per head (Nov 2021) which includes a soft drink/water. They give you a list of soft drinks included in the meal. Pay close attention because anything else could set you back 25-30GHC. Our children under 5 had complementary meals. We had a high chair brought to the table and, upon request, I got a plastic spoon and a foil bowl(only unbreakable dish they had) that I could use with my baby. Nice salad bar and there was some soup but I didn't check it out. Wide range (fish, local dishes, oriental) but not too many options with the main meals. Dessert was nice, I went twice. Food never seemed to run out and a hostess came round for last call AFTER 3pm. Covid-19 protocols in place: plastic gloves(provided) and nose masks required for serving yourself (around the food). Try it if you can, you shouldn't regret it

An ultra modern hotel in Accra and very close to the Kotoka International Airport (1 min. drive from the Airport)

  • 4/5 Squirrely 2 years ago on Google
The food is delicious and they take food safety seriously. The bartenders are friendly and make great drinks. The pool is very relaxing and they take great care to keep it clean and maintained at the proper temperatures and chlorine levels. While the outdoor patio area abuts a busy road, it's not too obtrusive thanks to the perimeter wall. The room are very nice and clean and include a mini fridge and lock box. The hotels conveniently located next to the airport and a block away from a small shopping mall. Despite being near the airport I never heard a single plane during my stay here even while lounging outside. My reason for only giving four stars is the quality of the gym. It's small enough to get crowded with two people doing weight training and two of the cable machines were missing pins rendering them unusable. Additionally, the laminate flooring seems to have water damage and was buckling which makes for a trip hazard in certain areas.

Very nice hotel but due to it being not far from a night club that plays really loud music till early hours in the morning. Really didn't get a good sleep for the 1500ghs that I paid for the room. Wrote this review at near 01:30 while waiting for the music to stop with earplugs in. The 4:30 get up in the morning will be a struggle. Called the reception to let them know but was not helpful at all.

I stay at this property often while in Accra. Customer service for the most part with the service workers is good. However the MANAGEMENT are horrible. I had to chase them for 4 weeks to be exact regarding a simple inquiry on a refund. I received a call back after a week and half, that they hadn’t even processed the refund, no reason why and there was no apology. I don’t think I’ll ever stay here again, this has left a horrible taste in my mouth. Def not American customer service standards!

We haven’t stayed at the hotel but been to the buffet several times. It’s good! Pricey of course because it’s an American hotel downtown but they have a nice salad bar, international and local foods, and a dessert bar with lots of variety. Cocktails are not strong or worth the price (65+gh). I’ve even asked for an extra shot (25gh) and still barely taste any alcohol and feel no effects. Won’t order one again.

This was my 3rd time staying here and my last. Unfortunately with bad management the service levels have drastically changed for the worse at this Marriott property. I practically bragged to all of my friends about this location and was so disappointed in the lack of customer service this time around. Beginning at the front desk ambassador Brenda never emailing me back about the free shuttle pickup at the airport, to not answering the phone upon arrival they constantly overpromised and underdelivered for much more than better hotels in the area. Food and beverage service was horrible this year, and still waiting for refunds for the breakfast and lunch service from the manager Gladys, too bad she is out of office until January 27th. Out of simple food items brought me plain untoasted bread as a continental breakfast after not answering the phone all morning, no menu in the room to order, brought me spaghetti instead of penne, ran out of lobster and charged the same price for shrimp, and always in a hurry to get me to pay but took forever to even bring me the order I am paying for. Clearly the priorities here are mixed up, where they only care about money now and not the actual food or drink coming out almost 45mins later. Do not bother ordering from the bar either, and the wait staff Hammond harassed me in my room and would not leave my bedroom until after calling and stopping by the front desk to settle the balance which should have been applied when I checked in initially with my American Express. The Marriott mobile app is not helpful either, there is a lack of communication between everyone. I received late checkout as an Elite Marriott member but got two follow up calls asking when I was leaving on the last day of my stay, just left a bad taste in my mouth. They ran out of everything and no one on the At Your Service line was actually available. If they provided the standard things like robes and clothes iron upfront, maybe I wouldnt need to call and bother them to ask for everything, they made it seem like an inconvenience instead of proactively having these items for guests in the rooms. I now know to stay somewhere else like the Kempinski next time.

Beautiful hotel but the rooms are becoming not very clean already. I'll suggest the housekeeping supervisor pay attention to details to the cleaning especially the bathrooms. Receptionists are very helpful and polite and Benjamin at the concierge desk is beyond amazing.

Definitely maintains the Marriot Brand, we use as a transit hotel due to proximity to airport. Would recommend it for a longer stay.. Staff are professional and pay attention to detail. Love the breakfast buffet

Tried Sunday Buffet here! Great ambience and lovely live band playing while you enjoy your meal. The food was great and the wine! Heavenly sweet! The only thing I didn’t like is there’s no one to actually welcome you in or open doors for you.

Exquisite professional hotel services offered here. Restaurant here is also just as good with very tasty options. Rooms are clean and presentable. You wouldn't go wrong visiting this hotel

Rooms are great but some have a smell to them. The on site restaurant is ok and slightly more expensive then it should be. I would walk over to the mall for some drink vs the hotel. The service is slow a d not fast at all. Staff is nervous and tend to be afraid of western guess. The front desk and other are great.

Grouper fish meal is great and tasty. Service was pleasant and came with a smile. Kudos to Bridget, she’s been helpful.
