Probably the best coffee place in London. Havent been to all of them but know the taste of a good coffee. Costs around 4 pound a coffee. Strongly recommend the chicken sandwich.

Excellent artesian coffee bar, tucked away in the alleys between Blackfriars and City Thameslink (Ludgate Hill exit). Small interior with limited seating but the coffee is sublime - strong, perfectly roasted and smooth. Friendly staff - definitely worth going out of your way to find!

Lovely little coffee shop tucked behind St Paul's. The coffee is quite earthy with a bold flavour - the perfect punch when you want to savour your sips. There aren't many seats, so this is not a cafe for long meetings or working. It's better suited for conversation. Service is quick and efficient, so no stress if you're in a hurry. This place has you covered!

An amazing Coffee shop tucked away from the main road, with a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere inside the shop. Coffee art was outstanding and left fellow coffee drinkers amazed! The coffee was also incredibly delicious and left me wanting more, I will definitely be returning here again with friends and colleagues.

Excellent customer service and even better coffee. My flat white was perfectly extracted with spectacular milk. I was initially hesitant about the espresso ice cream, but it is ver pleasant to round out the pallet on a hot day.

Remember visiting here years ago when they were new and the coffee was fantastic. Recently visited a couple of times. Coffee has been excellent 💯. Speciality and looks great too. Customer service is excellent. This particular branch is fairly small. They informed that the others are larger. Enjoy ☕️

Alchemy by name coffee wizardry is there game ✨️ ☕️ I've visited many coffee houses in London and this numbers over 100+. Alchemy is truly the first coffee place that truley wows me from staff to product, from the moment I entered I was greeted by the friendliest batistas, my almond croissant was served on a warm plate, which was delicious not overly sweet just the right amount of almond topping and filling. My coffee was the show stopper , the art 🎨 was awesome 👌 and the first for myself. The cappuccino itself wasn't just pretty it tasted smooth and delicious. And it didn't take long round if applause to the batista Its a wonderful surprise in life when you get alot more than you expected and Alchemy cafe is 100% magical.

Just wow. The barista is an artist making the most special drinks. My latte was beyond delicious. Their Earl Grey Hot chocolate was so unique and special, we loved it. Their baked goods are outstanding. Rosemary Millionaire Bar tastes like a million bucks!

This is my favorite coffee place in the world period. I am surprised it is 4.6 and not 5.0. I not only stop here every time I visit London but I also buy espresso and filter coffee bags from them for my home brewing. It is a gym of a place. Other than coffee try their millionaire’s shortbread

Simply the best in town: perfect coffee, amazing team, hidden-gem atmosphere. PS Lemon cake is a must try with any coffee you prefer.

Stopped in for a coffee and was not disappointed. It was very welcoming. The coffee and banana bread were delicious.

Can't comment on the coffee shop as such but I just tried my first batch of coffee ordered from Alchemy's roastery and it was delicious. Sweet, fruity, very tasty light roasted Kenyan beans. Customer service was above and beyond excellent. Look forward to dealing with them again and hopefully get to one of the coffee shops next time I'm in London.

Well located and decent coffee (but only decent - nothing more). Staff frequently more absorbed in their own conversations than focusing on the coffee or acknowledging customers. Place is nice but a lot less than it could be because of the staff attitude.

Good coffee in a cute little cafe at the intersection of several small lanes between St Paul's and Blackfriars

Excellent coffee, nice to have a choice of beans. Friendly service to and a bit of effort was made with the drink. Nice swan

Excellent coffee. I really liked the fact that they had two coffee blends to choose from. One blend was quite bright with fruity and slightly acidic notes, another was more rounded with nutty and chocolate notes. The service was very friendly and there were a number of sweets on offer that I will definitely be back to try.

Delicious flat white and a tasty ham & cheese croissant. Friendly service, and a good place to chill.

Amazing coffee and wonderful staff but I have put a low rating for Atmosphere as their air con unit is more for a bedroom than a commercial space (with hot coffee and dishwashers running constantly it’s unbearable to be in there).

Local go-to for a coterie of coffee craft cultists. A snuggle setting with well versed, articulate and efficient staff serving a range of beans, brews and techniques with purpose and panache. Also a pastry/cake complement + cheese/meat boards at reasonable prices. Attuned and adept and bean around here awhile.

Great selection of cakes and the banana cake was especially yummy. Coffee, needless to say, was very good. They had special San Sebastián filters when I went and it was really good!

Alchemy is a great great coffee shop - amazing coffee, fantastic team and nice atmosphere. It not only operates a small number of cafes but also roasts its own coffees. One of the best in London!

Best coffee in town and served with a smile. The cake and cookie selection is always super. My only advice is to switch from sugar to honey for the Anzac cookies, because the at rate I'm going through them, I expect to develop type 1 diabetes within weeks. Great job guys, you always start my mornings in the best way.

Great study spot. Coffee is good! Feels very pretentious and fancy. I came here wearing bright red lipstick feeling all the vibes.

I have been wanting to visit Alchemy for a couple of years now. I have had them on my list since summer 2020 when I happened to walk past while they were closed. I was finally back in London this week, and was so excited to finally check them out and also brought along friends. There were 4 of us and we all got drinks and a couple of pastries. the flat white I ordered was decent and the young lady who took our order and served us was amazing. The other couple of drinks and pastries didn’t taste very fresh. However, the reason why this place isn’t getting 5 starts from me, is actually because of a gentleman who works there but was not on the clock yet. He had arrived well after we placed our order and we were waiting for 2 additional seats to open up next to the 2 we already were sitting on. A man was getting out of his seat and we were clearing standing there waiting, and suddenly, this employee, swoops in and takes that seat before we had a chance to put our drinks down. Not only was this employee sitting in the customer seating area, he continued to get up and make himself drinks behind the counter and go into a back room and come back to sit next to us and began eating a bowl of noodles. And he even rudely, asked us to move over even tho, we were all there before he got there and he took the seat from us which we were waiting for. It left such a negative feeling for me and my friends and we quickly finished our drinks and left. I will never return to this cafe again and I am so disappointed that a place which I have been wanting to visit for so long, would have an employee treat us with such disrespect. I would recommend just ordering your drink to go if you have no other option in the vicinity.

Really friendly and charming local cafe. Large selection of freshly roasted coffee beans, mostly single origin. Choice of farms rotates pretty regularly with the staff on hand very knowledgeable and able to support and guide your choices. Staff were great and willing to pull some trial shots of espresso for me to try out their various beans. I just drank their espresso, but I was impressed and will come back again.

Was very much looking forward to visiting, in fact had planned my day around it as while it's not my local area, I specifically took the time to visit after hearing excellent reviews of both the venue and the coffee. It was full but not overly busy when we arrived, all good, ordered a coffee - looked around for sweetener but there was nothing. Went back to the counter and asked where the sugar was, response from the Barista was "we don't think it needs sugar". While that may be the case, I'm the one drinking it so the choice of whether i sweeten the coffee should be mine - massively disappointed since i was guilty of over-hyping the venue in my mind and was very much looking forward to the experience - I'll stick to Monmouth Coffee.
