Stumbled across this place when I was craving coffee and a late breakfast, and I was so happy I did! Staff were super-welcoming, and I had a coffee and a breakfast panini in front of me within a couple of minutes of arriving. The panini was excellent: perfectly crispy bacon with eggs and spring onions on a lovely piece of seeded bread. They clearly take coffee seriously, which is a big plus for me. I had my standard black americano, but I noticed they offered more niche options like cortado. Kids are well catered-for, and the whole place was spotless, including the bathrooms. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you check this place out.

Lovely cafe/community hub/space which does a bit of everything. Ordered a cappuccino, latte and babychino which were all quite good (a bit cold if I had to be critical) and a tea cake. The menu seemed well priced and the plates that others were eating looked good. Perhaps the biggest draw card was film that was playing for the kids and the play space which had plenty of toys for young ones. All of this makes it a perfect place for having a coffee and some peace and quiet (well as much as you can)

Fab coffee and food in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. I visited this week the food and coffee are good quality and value for money. I had the Brie bacon and chicken baguette it was tasty and portions are generous. They have a lot of choice of teas as well as coffee. Everything is well presented and the staff are friendly and helpful. The kids area is cute too with a little play kitchen and toys to keep them amused while you can relax.

We pop in for lunch after my daughter’s Spanish class on Thursday mornings, and it’s such a lovely atmosphere to decompress in before heading home with a toddler and newborn. The staff are lovely (they even give my two year old extra chocolate on her babyccino), and the prices for food and coffee are reasonable for a maternity leave budget. There is a small play area with lots of books my daughter loves to play in as well. A hidden gem.

I always love a visit to Fresh Ground. Such a calm atmosphere, great coffee and always guaranteed a smile from the staff.

Check it out! Gem of a local cafe that’s affordable, friendly and warm. It’s run by lovely people from the church and has a great menu with everything you could want, homemade cakes and a nice little play area for the kids. My kids and wife love it!

The best coffee in Eltham I'm a Costa regular, I've tried 1st coffee, Delicio, Ziyafet, Rixos and the Tudor Barnes coffee and this place serves the best tasting coffee for me. If you like a reassuringly strong tasting, yet smooth latte, this is the place! The best coffee place if with kids as has a play area too.

I like this place, the coffee is good and the staff are friendly. It’s handy to have the play area but it feels like it needs a good clean and maybe change of toys! Not that my daughter is worried, she had lots of fun!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Royal Wedding Afternoon Tea. Thank you! The sandwiches, cakes and scones were delicious and the peppermint tea and coffee kept on coming. We were made to feel welcome and very well looked after. I'd give the toilets 5 stars too!

Great cafe, especially for children. A nice little children's area with toys, books and a blackboard. They also offer children's lunches and snacks at a very reasonable price. There's also a room next to the cafe where my eldest did archery which he really enjoyed. I booked this in advance online and it was very reasonably priced. I had a panini, smoothie and toasted tea cake which were all very tasty. Overall, I was very impressed with Fresh Ground and the staff there.

Always friendly staff and the kids activities are great. Food and coffee are delicious. Lovely place for young families.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would ⭐️ We have been coming to Freshground Coffee House for over 4 years now, the staff are all lovely and you really feel a warm welcome every time you visit. John and Janna are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, they are always giving 110% to the business, coming up with new ideas, menus, activities. I cannot fault the food and refreshments, the kids love the picnic boxes and they are great value! The kids area is great with games, books and toys for all ages, we love the activities arranged during the holidays: Cinema, Lego Clubs, Slime/Messy Play, Arts and Crafts, Making Chocolate Treats 😋 We look forward to visiting again soon 🤩

Hi I have been attending Fresh Ground Coffee House at Eltham for a number of years now. I would recommend this place as the service is good, very friendly and always with a smile. And a relaxed atmosphere. And the Coffee is brill 👍🏻

We love coming here every Friday! The food is so good and such a reasonable price, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s perfect if you have young children and want to pop in somewhere they are made to feel relaxed and wanted but also if you are just wanting to meet friends for a quick coffee in a relaxed environment. I can highly recommend giving this place a try!

Lovely little cafe with some very nice food. Ordered the baby chino and smashed avocado for my granddaughter and coffee with egg and bacon on toast for myself, served by very friendly staff. Very reasonably priced and tasty too. I recommend a visit.
