Visited the cafe on a sunny day and defo recommend a cup of Joe on a good day. The pancakes weren’t incredible but they definitely know how to cook their bacon. Avoid the scrambled eggs - I don’t actually know what was happening there. The food was average but I’m definitely tempted to come back and try some more to see if it’s worth the hype.

A great place to grab some brunch. Great coffee, great food and big portions. The food can take a while but that's because it is always busy and the food is definitely worth the wait.

Have been ordering from these guys on Uber Eats for a while - this morning I ordered a breakfast sandwich which was said to be a choice between bacon and sausage with fried eggs and chutney on white farmhouse bread. I received just bacon in toasted sliced bread with a big salad. Tried to call the cafe but the number is disconnected.

Nice cafe near Victoria Park in a quiet neighborhood. It was quite busy around 2pm on a Saturday. There are seats inside and outside. You will need to order at the counter, and they will bring you the food. The presentation of the food looks beautiful, they also taste very good, with very reasonable price. I would recommend. We tried the full English breakfast, loved the portobello mushroom. Eggs benedict with ham was up to standard, came with fruit. The Nutella pancake was stunning, good portion. We enjoyed the meal very much.

Best place in this area for breakfast. Generous and tasty portions, proper coffees and lots of choices. During weekends it gets quite busy, but worths the wait. Thank me later! x

Had a brunch there for first time, the staff was really nice and friendly, the cafe is cozy and quiet and the food was really good, we had three plates, falafel wrap, Mediterranean breakfast and chocolate waffle, they all were good but the waffle was so delicious. This cafe was worth the visit and will visit it again

Food in the UK isn’t exactly known to be amazingly good… but there, I can say it was really good! Both my Latte and my Breakfast were great. Those pancakes with fruits were soooo satisfying! The passionfruit is an amazing idea! Cute little place far from the tourists. 👌🏼👌🏼

I've been going to Zealand Cafe for brunch for more than a year now and I have to say that the experience has been superb every single time. The people that run it are really lovely and the food is not only really well presented it tastes amazing! Also they have a big and very complete menu where with some very healthy options so you don't have to feel guilty about eating such good food.

I love this place. I was studying abroad at Queen Mary for 4 months and I went here at least 11 times after finding it my first weekend. Every time someone came to visit me (4x) I showed them this little gem. Very aesthetically cute cafe, nice music, good wifi, and GREAT food. The coffees and teas in particular stand out but it all stands out. It is also plated beautifully.

Very cute, and cosy place to dine in for brunch, lunch and breakfast Halal, vegan and vegetarian options as well. We were happy about our dishes and its affordable prices, that’s one of the reason the place is busy but the wait is not long. In addition they have an area where you can sit and do your work on your laptop while having something. We were very satisfied. Only cons: the coffee is not good.

I had a wonderful brunch at this lovely place! The Zealand breakfast I ordered was absolutely delicious, and the fruits and fresh orange juice were incredibly sweet and tasty. The staff was friendly and the service was fast, making it a highly recommended spot!

Currently sat enjoying a plain, black coffee admiring the decor. Polite young lady behind the counter. An array of small bites to eat (no idea what they are, but look freshly made). Whitney Houston on the speakers 🤷🏻‍♂️ Very pleasant!

The coffee was disgusting. This is the first time I’ve despised any coffee this much. It was lukewarm and extremely bitter, almost sour. Clearly they’ve burned it. They also closed 30 minutes before they were supposed to and didn’t tell us when we sat down. Who’s gonna just sit there with their laptops ready to work for 30 minutes? Bad coffee bad service, it’s a good thing I didn’t eat there, waste of money. My instant coffee at home would have tasted better.

I ordered Waffle Breakfast Sandwich ( 2 fried eggs, cheddar cheese, 2 slices crispy bacon, syrup and fruit) . The collaboration between sweet and salty was delicious and in perfect harmony! Fruit and bacon & eggs is an unexpected combination but highly recommended!

Very lovely cafe on Roman road. The service was quite quick. the workers were lovely but non responsive at times. The food was absolutely amazing. This is definitely a good environment to study as well: there are plenty outlets and the tables are sturdy and large enough to hold a laptop and book if necessary. EDIT: one day after eating at this place I suffered from the worst possible stomach pains, vomiting and bowel issues. I am positive that I got food poisoning from here. A shame, as the food was very tasty, but I question the hygiene of the food preparation.

Cozy little café offering the most delicious brunch. It gets super busy on weekends, but it's worth the wait.

Got brunch here with a friend, great vibes in a cute cafe The food was good value and tasty, albeit a bit novel to serve savoury and sweet food on the same plate (which I didn’t really mind but I can see how it wouldn’t be for everyone) Beware that there is a sign saying no laptops so it’s more of a socialise with friends kind of cafe

Managed to enjoy some autumn sunshine and sat outside. Really good service and lovely food. Had avocado toast that came with a really delicious salad. Have been before and always enjoy it. It's definitely good value for money as well.

Very slow surly service and the waitress was leaning over us clearing and wiping the table while some of our party were still eating she had to be asked twice to stop. Food was mostly nice although scrambled egg on toast was very expensive for the amount of egg you get and they charged £3 extra for the smallest amount of smoked salmon then add tonns of mad fruit salad that you didn't order, I think they think it makes the food look better and justifies the expense? I would rather have a little more scrambled with my scrambled egg than half a passion fruit and melon. Plenty of better cafes on the Roman road.

Very tasty food and I love the side salad that accompanies my eggs on toast. One of the most refreshing breakfasts I've had - such a great start to the day!

Popped in on a sunny Saturday for a latte - nice and only £2.80 for a small which wasn’t that small in my opinion. Lots of breakfast and lunch choices too, with halal options which should be standard for the area in my opinion.

I visited this cafe for the first time today. It was half way home for me and I was feeling tired after a fall. Needed a pick me up to get home. I also am a pensionner. I couldn't remember the difference between a mocha and machiato, therefore presenting signs of stupidity to the young, 5' 4" man or thereabouts, serving me. But, ho ho, not stupid enough to not spot he tried to short change me. I do not like dishonesty, that is why I am posting this. Also the staff are a pretty miserable bunch. Why? Why try to cheat? Does he do it often I wonder. The food at the next table looked good, but 20p is 20p He knew what he was doing!

This place does the BEST food at GREAT prices! I've kept coming back and I'm never disappointed. Great service and wonderful music is played through the speakers also. 10/10 :)

This place is fine but not amazing. You pay before you eat at the till. Quite a rushed stressy atmosphere amplified by loud pop music. Staff are not rude but lack hospitality either. No smiles, no asking how the food is. Bent over us as we were eating to sort out the table which was odd. Defo not terrible but lacks relaxing brunch vibe!

The food was okay, service from a particular waitress could have been better but overall was okay.

Good food and decent coffee, the pastry (almond wrap) was a bit dry. Veggie breakfast was tasty but I only got two pieces of falafel and very small toastie portion which is not great.

I have been to this cafe and continue to visit often, especially for a cup of coffee to work during weekdays but the two times i went here for breakfast i was really disappointed. first time we got a waffle to share and it did take quite a while to come out and it tastes okay but it was a little too hard for me. I prefer a softer waffle. Second time we ordered a shakshuka and a farmers breakfast and the eggs were unfortunately just not doing it for us. Mine were really raw (i don't mean the yolk- i like a runny yolk but when the white of a poached egg is completely translucent then it's clearly raw still). The poached eggs also have a tendency to taste vinegary. The staff are really lovely though! And for a hot drink it is a great cafe! Just maybe not such great breakfast. The pancakes were delicious though if it were cheaper maybe it would be worth it.

Good coffee, and the largest, most excellent Apple Danish that I've ever clapped eyes upon. Larger almost hidden seating area at the back.
