OK to decent coffee shop, I didn't try the coffee, I came to have full English breakfast. There are not many parking spaces, so arrive early, you may get blocked in but the staff are aware of this. The breakfast was OK, it was above greasy spoon cafe quality but there was no baked beans, or black pudding. It was OK, the sourdough bread was nice though. The pancakes were good, as was the milkshake. On the first floor there is a shop selling clothes, kids books, toys crafts etc.

Had a delicious iced latte with coconut milk and my niece had a really great biscoff milkshake. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and the service was very fast. Upstairs is a little shop with some interesting bits, I bought some local beers and some hot sauce. They sell cute home stuff coasters, ornaments etc

Not sure I should be telling anyone how good they are. Maybe the best places should be kept secret.

Delighted to find this open with obvious Covid restrictions. Yesterday was their first day fully opened. Delicious take out coffee served by delightful Bath student. Savoury scones delicious. Cakes looked fantastic. Shall be looking forward to a return when next in Stroud area. Spotless. Highly recommended.

This afternoon tea was the best I've ever had & at a very reasonable price. Booked for all my girl friends & it was just absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough to describe how pleased it am. Fantastic service by Nicky & all round a brilliant afternoon. Will definitely be going again. Thank you to all the team.

Lovely place for afternoon tea with lots of cakes and treats to try. The portion sizes for the sandwiches per person was small but due to the amount of scones and sweet treats we weren't able to finish the whole tower. Some of the cakes with jam felt too sweet for my liking but tasty nonetheless. I especially enjoyed the raspberry tartlet and both sweet and savory scones. Cute crockery and very traditional tea party feel. The group loved it and especially enjoyed the aesthetics of the cafe.

I needed somewhere to base myself between work appointments so visited this cafe this morning. It is a lovely friendly place, staff are welcoming and the tea and coffee is great… as for the cherry and almond cake- what can I say? I took some home with me… too delicious!

Great cafe and great food - when it's available! We rocked up at lunchtime and was told the chef was on his/her lunch break so the menu choice was somewhat limited. That said my New York Salt Beef sandwich was pretty lush so I'd still go back - hopefully when the chef isn't on a lunch break 😂 The pic is the view from the car park across the road.

I arrived here at 10:30, with a shocking hangover. Had eggs Benedict with salmon, extra sausages. The food was exceptional and the waitresses were attentive, pleasant and even asked if I was feeling better. I actually ended up spending 4 hours here having tea, cake and lunch throughout as it was such a lovely experience. Not a bad word to say about it. It does get busy at lunchtime! Keep it up. I’ll be back!

My absolute favourite place that I can always depend on having a nice time at. The food is homemade and delicious, and the cakes are lovely too. A real hidden gem and worth the visit! As they have cute shop upstairs and a homely atmosphere

Nice ice cream and coffee here. Toilets available and clean. Sanitizer available. Good system for waiting in place. Only mild issue was they seemed a bit slow as I think they were processing all orders in strict sequential order, meaning my order of a tea and a coffee waited behind some big meals etc. I didnt mind too much though as it was nice and a a good place to stop.

The Lavender Bakehouse is a very popular place to go and grab something and drink. Great place if you want coffee and cake especially if you are doing lots of walking around in the Cotswold. The staff are great and friendly. You can even bring your dogs in as well as long as they are well behaved. Parking can be a bit tight but if you block someone in, just let them know at the desk. If you are in the area, you have to visit this place.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, the staff were so friendly and helpful! The establishment is so cute, warm and welcoming! Highly recommend popping in for breakfast or lunch and getting one of their yummy sourdough toasted sandwiches and a hot chocolate from these hard working ladies. Thanks for having our troup of crazy kids!

This cafe is a really relaxing, friendly place to sit. We popped in on our way along the canal tow path with our little dog for a coffee and found the atmosphere to be warm and inviting. Being so close to Stroud, we thought there might be more options for vegans - if there were we would definitely be back!

We take our son in here for coffee or a milkshake and cake or a bacon roll. Smashing little cafè, attentive and helpful staff. Food is very good and the cakes are wonderful. On a Saturday morning phone ahead of your visit and reserve a table. Upstairs is a cookware, clothing and card shop, a great diversion after brunch. Our son has learning difficulties and just loves the cafè and upstairs shop where he is treated with a lot of kindness. He loves the shop owners dog Betsy, she is quite a character...as is the owner.

Incredible array of cakes, huge slice with a pot of tea, just perfect. I chose the gluten free option, which was a moist blueberry sponge, one of the best gluten free cakes I've had. Great service with a smile. You'll need to reserve a table at lunchtime.

Great menu choice, although dissapointed my Turkish eggs were hugely under cooked with Raw gloopy egg whites. Slow to clear tables. Friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit .

Lovely. Great service and delicious food. I had a take away bacon sammich (good bacon and thick soft bread), hot chocolate and a big wedge of coffee cake all for a tenner.

Great little Cafe. Super friendly and helpful staff. We popped in for lunch and we got some sandwiches for the adults, and kids meal for the little ones. Portions were huge, and quality was great. The kids meals were sensational, sandwich, crisps, drink, fruit and a cookie. Our kids loved them!

Me and my dad stopped here today when passing through on our motorbikes. It was a great little pit stop. We only ordered a cup of tea and to our surprise we were given a free shortbread finger. It was delicious. I will definitely be coming back again. The whole place looked super clean and had great social distance measures in place. If you want to sit in I would advice you book, it seems a popular place.

Ordered afternoon tea and continental platter for my daughter-in-laws Birthday From ordering to delivery was so easy and very professional. The presentation of the food was amazing. And the afternoon tea & platter was just so delicious. Would definitely order again and definitely recommend.

Friendly staff, the carrot cake is the best cake I have had and probably one of the best that I ever tried and I have tried a lot. I didnt like the last few cakes that I had there though-not a scratch on the carrot cake

This is the place, you should definitely to visit, if you are after good coffee or tea cup or full English breakfast. Good selection of tarts and ice cream. It's preferable to book in advance, as sometimes all tables are accommodated.

We did a breakfast here and it was surprised by the portions. Great taste and great ambience. Perfect morning breakfast spot. When ordering coffee. I would recommend going for extra shot of coffee. If you like your coffee strong like me. Enjoy!

Delightful quirky dining spot . Good covid precautions by staff. Less so by customers. Food was excellent would recommend. Perhaps free refill on pots of tea as ordered 2 got 1 and ran out . Other than that it would have got five stars . Booking essential.

Good food, and a nice outdoor space too. Busy, but with good parking. We stopped off here after a walk along the old canal. You can go all the way to the Daneway from here, which is another recommend place to stop.

We were welcomed by the friendliest member of staff, her name was Christine. We will remember our visit purely because of her, nothing was too much trouble. Other staff members could learn to be more inviting. A smile costs nothing. The food was ok.

My family and I came this morning hoping to have a nice breakfast together. None of the food was very warm, but the dish my mum ordered included poached eggs, and when they came stone cold she asked for them to be heated up. She also pointed out that her tomatoes were completely raw and was told that they were not supposed to be cooked, despite the menu literally saying ‘roasted vine tomatoes’. We were very disappointed by the service we received after that; the member of staff who brought the plate back over threw it down in front of my mum and walked off without saying anything. I don’t usually write reviews, but as somebody who has worked in customer service I was appalled by this. It was not only immature, but also made my mum feel really uncomfortable for making a very reasonable and presumably quite common request. When we went to pay at the counter, my mum asked for this staff member’s name as she was planning on complaining to the manager about her service. The two members of staff on the till were both very unfriendly towards us. They told us she was ‘out the back’, then backtracked and said they didn’t know who it was, before telling us her name. My mum chose not to complain in the end, however I’ve decided to leave a review because it upset me to see my mum upset when she was excited to treat us to a nice breakfast out, and I don’t feel customers paying a lot of money for your food should be made to feel like this just for making a simple request. An unpleasant experience overall.
