This place is a gem in Liverpool. We were in town for 3 days and came back twice. The food is high quality and the coffee fantastic. Check this one out if youโ€™re a tourist visiting Penny Lane (just around the corner) or as a local.

A gem of a coffee shop, enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast and coffee but wish I had room for a sweet treat because they looked amazing. Will be visiting again soon.

Third visit to this Cafe and quickly becoming my favourite! It has a lovely laid back atmosphere, good to visit alone, with friends, with children and there's lots of floor space so fine for prams. Its disabled friendly and has an easy access door and disabled loo.Its dog friendly too yaay!๐Ÿ• There's something for everyone on the menu and I love that there's lots of options for VEGANS. I had a delicious red pepper soup today, with soft granary bread and dairy free spread, and a soya coffee.Staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you, they seem to enjoy working here which adds to the atmosphere.

Consistently fantastic food and service the produce is first class and staff lovely. Correction, January 2024, noticed the bacon has dropped substantially in quality, customers notice these things, please correct it.

OMG, brought two cakes from the shop this morning and they are amazing, I had the lemon and raspberry and another tart type with pistachios and both are equally delicious. The cappuccino and hot chocolate were good, but the cakes are ๐Ÿ˜‹

Fantastic place! I'm not sure how they do it, but their breakfast sandwiches are out of this world. Plus, they open at 8am, so it's the perfect place to catch up on emails and start the day off right!

Think it does the best flat white out of all coffee shops. Great sausage and egg on a bun too. Can take your dog in also. Wish I had these guys on my door step.

Could this be the new Bold St Coffee ? I really like my coffee so always use independent coffee shops where I can. Allerton road is now becoming the new Bold St crossed with Lark Lane for food and drink. Bean There really do make the best coffee in Liverpool now. That title was held by Bold St Coffee for years. Bean There weโ€™re there for the community during the Pandemic and even made food parcels for Kids. The team are great always polite and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Itโ€™s our first call for coffee now. Fantastic coffee shop.

I go here pretty much everyday. It's the best coffee I have found in Liverpool. The staff are both extremely friendly and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to coffee. You can buy coffee to go and it's delicious or coffee beans to take home which the staff will kindly grind for you to your specifications. Lovely place!

I only visited for the first time today with a friend, they recommended. I really loved the vibe. It brought back memories of my day's spent down in Covent Garden, Neils Yard. Really hip, trendy, chilled vibe. Great tasting coffee, I didn't know they did food so would love to try that sometime. Very popular place indeed.

Incredibly friendly people and food so wonderful I made sure to visit twice on my trip to Liverpool. The vegetarian sausage roll with cauliflower and the plant ball toastie are some of the best things Iโ€™ve eaten in recent memory and the coffee is excellent as well. The sausage roll was for takeaway and they very kindly put a condiment in a container so I could easily have everything for my picnic.

Used to enjoy it here as they serve decent coffee and have a nice selection of cakes, lovely sausage rolls but prices have increased (understand this is everywhere) but inside is grubby now and staff really not interested in keeping on top of cleanliness, toilet was dirty too. General service was poor, staff chatting with each other, ignoring customers and generally unwelcoming. Unlikely to return after recent visit and it was cold too, not enjoyable.

We've ordered milkshakes for kids and we were very surprised when we payed ยฃ10 โ€” ยฃ5 each. We've received glass of milk with cheap ice creams, with a little bit syrop. Serious??๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฉ ยฃ5 for milk with ice cream? ๐Ÿ˜ณWhere is the cram on the top? Chocolate powder etc.. Where is some extras? Usually I pay "2.50 - 3.60" for really nice and tasty, massive, big, delicious milkshake, but this... What was that?๐Ÿ˜’ It's really joke... We were so confused. So expensive. Joke, joke, joke!! ๐Ÿ˜ฃ Never before I didn't see that. Don't waste your money. And toilet... ๐Ÿฅด Disgusting. I didn't make a photo - better for you. Brrrrr ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Absolutely gorgeous! Christmas vegan baguette was delicious, as was the cappuccino I had afterwards. I also bought a bag of coffee as a present and the staff were really helpful and ground it for me. I'm very pleased that this is now my new local coffee shop๐Ÿ˜Š

Walked in and was immediately drawn to the pastries and cakes - they looked fantastic. Didnโ€™t get acknowledged but that type of thing doesnโ€™t really bother me (first bad review Iโ€™ve ever left!). Bit of a mopey atmosphere in there, which I found a bit weird. Got the avocado on toast which was ยฃ7 (see pic). Felt overpriced for what you can get elsewhere in the area (Rose Lane shop), toast was burnt (could actually smell from where we were sitting) but topping was very nice. Seen them bringing out sausage rolls and looked unreal, so we agreed to get one on the way out. Stood there with my wife, holding my 8 month old whilst 4 people were behind the counter having a conversation. A minute passed and we just decided to leave as was a bit awkward. Baked goods looked great, nice coffee but what we ordered felt overpriced and service was really bad.

I go most days just stop for a cake . Food is great but the staff are miserable. In fact one girl was actually quite rude . I asked her if she could cut a cake in half she looked at me like Iโ€™d asked her to cut her throat

Popped in for an Americano and an Iced oat milk matcha latte to go. Two people serving were friendly, had the gift of the gab promoting their fab baked goods but weren't pushy, which I appreciate a lot. They did have a wonderful looking selection but we just stuck with the drinks. Next time, though :)

If you've come on the Beatles tourist trail up to Penny Lane, or if you're just a Liverpool 15 local, this stunning coffee shop is really not to be missed. Had the best prepared coffee I've had this side of Seattle and they have some really stunning home-made cakes (and even rainbow ice cream, you can charm the kids with) You can catch up with work or other stuff with the free wifi (seemed to be plenty of fashionable people doing that) - or just stare out of the window at the 'shelter in the middle of the roundabout' (even if that place is abandoned at the moment) and watch the world go by. Oh, and lovely people to. This is one of my random finds that really has most impressed me in years.....

It's not for everyone. Food was good but to expensive for my taser. It was all organic and free range which made us to pay ยฃ50 for a breakfast for 4 people. If you don't mind paying extra then govfpte it. Food was realy good, just to expensive.

I used to really like this place but itโ€™s really gone downhill since changing management a couple of years ago. Itโ€™s a common experience to be ignored when trying to order at the counter, even when there are 4 or 5 staff members behind it. The service is slow and feckless, and they donโ€™t keep on top of basic things like wiping down tables after use. I donโ€™t know how itโ€™s viable to have so many staff on and get so little done. If they donโ€™t shape up I can see them closing within a couple of years. Itโ€™s a shame, because the coffee and food are very good.

Lovely cafe but really could do with a good clean - I don't know if it's in process of renovation but some of the tablets were really grim and unclean. Such a shame as if it was cleaner would definitely come more often!

This has been our local (although 6 miles away) now for many years. We love this place and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. The food is to die for, and it's the only place we can really get our coffee fix. We also re-homed a dog recently and have been bringing her with us, and she has a great time being fussed over by the staff. I'd definitely recommend the ham hock & cheese toastie, the full English breakfast and the breakfast buns. Used to be the House Hash but it's way too spicy for me now. My only negative is the toilets. Often they are quite yucky with urine on the floor/seat, so maybe they just need checking a bit more often! Also a tad on the pricey side, but you definitely get what you pay for!
