I love this place! My third visit to Republic reminded me to leave a review as it’s one of the first places I go when in Ghana. Service is always excellent and the food is delicious. The yam chips here are 10/10 and only on par with Prisons. Drinks are amazing and I just discovered they were all made with akpeteshie! The more you know. Location is always a vibe and there’s something about sitting on plastic chairs in the middle of an Oxford street side street enjoying life.

Republic was marvellous! Their MC, Bobby J, is amazing 😎. So much fun!! The atmosphere is always electric, people are relaxed and ready to dance at the drop of a beat... always a lively night out. 🥳 Food is reasonably priced and the cocktails 🍹🧉are out of this world!! I don’t know of the usual mood here, but the place was quite boring and the music being played was not impressive at all. My friends and I spent less than 30 minutes there. I don’t know exactly what they should do, but they should improve on the location and music. The place seems cool though.

For a taste of local music, drinks and street foods in n the heart of one Accra's busiest local districts -- Osu. We ordered the house specialty drink and enjoyed the outdoors. Keep in mind, all of Ghana's restaurants have a local pace. Get there early for a seat when you there is live music. It gets quite busy.

This is such a great bar. It was such an original experience from the ambience to the music to the shots (which are locally made and pack quite a punch). I loved it.

The environment was cool. But the MC and the DJ that manage the Karaoke nights have corrupted minds. I specifically went there for the karaoke. I was the 5th on the list, I never passed after 2hours. Great bar, open and well placed in Osu, the most popular touristy type neighborhood. Try kokroko(cocktail) which is really great and well made, it is my all time favorite here! Their food is spicy(read peppery and extremely hot) for non Ghanaians. The karaoke on Tuesday and shows on Wednesdays are worth it. You shall find locals, tourists and everyone here and the vibe is always popping

Good down to earth place to hang around. Atmosphere is like a bygone era, with vintage items like Gramophone, Radio, Telephone and many others displayed casually. They have their own local drinks and service is also good.

Was here for Karoke Tuesday. Nice crowd, mixed with locals and foreigners. The food was tasty however, the liquor was questionable. (I didn't feel it was orginal, ordered two drinks and they both tasted funny). Would return again but would drink b4 I arrive.

Had the famous Kokroko drink, loved it. Beautiful ambience, you may just run into Reggie Rockson like my friends and I did! Had yam chips , chicken wings and pork chops, best pork chops I've had in a long time. Very affordable too.

Was here recently on a Saturday night. Drinks were fairly priced. I sampled the ginger shot, coconut shot, and one other before doubling down on the ginger shot (10ghc), I believe my wife had the Kokroko frozen drink (10ghc). The eatery which is right next door has very fair prices as well but we didn't eat anything. The DJ (Michael) surprisingly played a massive Calypso and Soca set. Which was a big plus for my wife and I as she is Trinidadian 🇹🇹. The music also caught the ears of another table which was comprised of Jamaican and Haitian people from Brooklyn, NYC. The lot of us bonded via the tunes and ended up dancing and signing the night away.

THE PLACE to be, when in Accra. A really nice place to shed away your stress and worries after a busy week. A nice joint to visit, especially on Friday nights. Hang out with your friends, sit in the open, order a drink with some munchies, and sink into the ambiance to bring in the weekend.

Been passing through once in awhile for about 5/6years but this experience’s different, a waitress served ‘kokrooko’ drink (their known-for drink) in a coffee cup🤦‍♂️ told her to change and she ignored, also I ordered for small cup & she brought large. She deliberately avoided me not to give me my balance and pretended she didn’t see me when I was leaving lmao. And the washroom is not tidy.

This restaurant usually come alive in the night time. It’s mostly a sit out because it’s more like an open space. I frequent this bar while in Ghana because it was affordable and a really cool place to just sit, listen to good music, eat good food, meet and interact with new people and just enjoy the fresh night air. I highly recommend

The best thing I had at this spot was their Sorrel/Hibiscus (Zobo) drink. The jollof rice was too spicy, i could hardly eat half the plate of rice I ordered as it had lots of pepper. The goat meat was well spiced and delicious. The chicken was disappointing. There’s a wait time between 30minutes-above to get your food ready/served. This may be because I visited at a peak period (December). I rate their service poorly because I lost an item while at this spot and sent them a WhatsApp message just to ask if it was by any chance found. The least they could have done was to at least acknowledge the message, out of courtesy. I guess that’s too much a thing to ask these days.

The vibe here is super chill. You don't need to be in heels or anything; you'd actually be more comfortable in flats or slippers. The food is great and the drinks are even better. Ask for the kokroko (it has alcohol, but there's a virgin option). It's a good rendezvous before you step to the club or on your way home from the club. Definitely not meant for convo cos the music is pretty loud but not deafening, unless you're trying not to hear your date lol.

It features both an indoor and outdoor seating area, crowd at night tend to spill onto the streets posing a difficulty in free flow of traffic. There’s an area indoor where you can pay a token and paint while you chill with friends. You should try the popular in-house drink Kokoroko which is about 10cedis if I remember clearly. There’s also a variety of finger foods to choose from N.B: G This establishment sells pork so I’m not sure if their food is completely halal

Cool place, I loved their music and I like that chairs and tables are outside for people to sit and look at the streets. I feel the waitresses have an attitude, I think some aren’t happy with their work. For instance, waitresses just want to get over serving you and go back to their phones. I have been there 3 times now and am never impressed by their services. The food and drinks are good and I can’t over look that however I wish they would improve their customer service.

I've heard of republic bar and grill long time ago but never crossed my mind to swing by till some few days ago. I must say, the vibe you catch there is unbeatable. Anytime u feel like sipping on some drinks and getting soaked by some live band music, think about the republic.

Am very disappointed to find out they colour their food.i was looking forward to a good meal and not coloured foods.please ask your client if they want coloured food or natural. I just wasted my money.

Went on a Tuesday- Karaoke night! Host/MC was wonderful! The highly recommended kokroko cocktail is 10/10. The ginger shot is definitely worth the try for the kick. Seating is outside the bar - limited. Would definitely recommend arriving early for seats!

Never wanted to go here because it always seemed touristy. It definitely caters to plenty of expats. The Wòezɔ drink (pronounced way-zo meaning, welcome in the Eʋe language) and the curry goat dish on menu were a phenomenal mix! I went on a Thursday night and it was mellow without being crowded. I will definitely return.

I love republic with all of me. I’ve been coming for years and the consistency is on point with customer service and drinks but the bathroom tonight was unacceptable. It smelled like urine and there was a flood in the middle of the hall before you get to the bathroom. It was just disgusting! I will support republic because i love the vibe. Hope they fix their bathroom. This is all out of love. I will continue to support them.

Republic bar has a great atmosphere. It has a small inside space but it's more of an outdoor venue featuring a DJ playing AfroBeats. Try a large "local favorite" and one of their shots. Warning it packs a punch 😂 the booze is local so make sure to try even if you don't drink often. How often do you get local hard liquor and not the same old booze?

Lively place, I love their drinks and have yet to taste the food. Service is smooth as well as ambiance. On their website and social media you are always up to date to their current event programme, which varies from live music to karaoke to guest DJs or sip and paint events. It is popular by locals as well as tourists/expats and sometimes you meet celebrities there on their visit in Accra. It is located in walking distance by the side entrance of Oxfordstreet Mall. Make sure you also try their signature drink "the Kokroko cocktail" I'm looking forward to visiting more often this year still.

Listen, this is a must visit location!!! Try the KOKOROKO… but be careful it will sneak up on you in a wonderful way. The atmosphere here really takes form at night with street side outdoor seating that will almost certainly be sprinkled with personalities from around the globe… food is delicious but the street tilapia on the corner about <100 meters away is also spectacular. This is the place to sink into the Accra vibe and experience why so many people are choosing this as one of their favorite stops on their journey to Ghana!

Went out for drinks - the energy was awesome, good music and good drinks. Would highly recommend trying the palm wine for tourists, ended up being my favorite. The staff is nice and welcoming. The area seemed a bit sketchy though, it did not feel comfortable walking around to get there, so make sure the uber drops you off at the exact place.

Drinks were good. That Akpeteshie is strong! Tasty food. We were just stopping in because I heard about it before I got to Ghana. We ate, had one drink, and we were good. I'd go again. I'm not a big drinker, but if you are, GO!
