I bet you that there are only few places in Accra to get such kind of presentation. The pricing is moderate per mid-class income earner. There is enough parking space and disability friendly. I am very picky when it comes to food so I never tried the food here, but coming from Abidjan and visiting friends in Accra, it seems like this spot is where folks get food after the club. My friend loves the waakye (made out of rice, black beans, spaghetti, and a boiled egg) from here. I love the way the dish is served in a banana leaf. We came in around 4:00 am and we got the food in few minutes. Service was excellent.

Best night waakye in the city. Location is perfect ! Good vibe. Anytime you are out late, and want to eat or something to wake-up to eat after your night out without stepping out of the house, Rockstone's waakye is the perfect meal. Would recommend this place for anyone. You will love the food and the packaging.

Some of the best wakye you can find in town! Decent portions with the right flavor in the gravy and the shito

This is one of the true, "local" food eateries in town. The food is authentic and overcooked. The red meat is over-cooked because I believe it's kept warm all day, thus still cooking. They should cook some every couple of hours to make it fresher. But this place could be a must visit for foreigners looking for real Ghanaian food. But they will have to start making it fresh again. I recently returned, and the food was horrible. The food taste and felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for two days. I will not return.

Worth all the hype. A little tiny bit on the pricey side but it’s Accra- as expected. The waakye got all juices and flavors working on it. It was sooo good. I highly recommend this to all Waakye lovers in town It’s 40gh and 45gh cedis Btw they move to the Ghana tourism authority which is a 5 min walk from the current location

First of all the food is too delicious to be cheap 🤩😱. I bought a whole meal for Ghc 45 with the combination of “waakye, one egg, fish, veggie, and fried plantain”. However, the restroom can be better than it is. The ambiance is not the best but great location. The food is GOOD! Cheers

Came back after a year, this time at night and the place was quite different. What a night it was - Just Music is one great stuff. The music, the food, the cocktails, the people was on point. You're bound to make new friends. I'd love to go back again.

Overall the waakye is good and shito also good and spicy. My only concern is the shito has too many visible hard seeds in them. It won’t hurt to grind everything properly because 1 in 50 people consuming it might end up with appendicitis. If it’s smooth, it’s safe for everyone even kids. Please consider it.

Rooftop open bar. Swing through, from 6pm daily to wait out Accra traffic times. Best place to be on a Friday night. Good Food, Music, People. Warm presence of Owners. Good priced drinks. Great place to be! Afterwerk!

Amazing experience. It is rare to find a spot anywhere in the world that brings class and comfort together so well. The atmosphere is polished but the vibe is so homey you feel like you are hanging with family. Everything was perfect; the food, music, and fellow patrons. But perhaps the highlight of the night was meeting the owner Reggie Rockstone, the God father of Hiplife. #icon. He was just was cool and classy as Rockstone's Office. This place is perfect for a date or just hanging with friends.

The waakye was goooood. It tasted authentic and local. Well done to the team. My only gripe is that the pieces of meat were quite small and t was quite expensive. But otherwise the quality was there. Great job!

The front desk personnel need serious training in Customer service- they're plain rude and always have a scowl. You try to even prompt them to at least smile and they look at you like ' just place your order and get out'. I called to order food and the guy who picked up sounded so disinterested. All his answers to my questions were 'errr, I don't know'. I therefore decided to drive there and place the order and again, the rude lady was there.( Somehow, she's d one I always met when i go there in person) I placed my order, made payment and she said it'd take 20 minutes so i told her I'd wait in the car. After about 30 minutes, I'd still not received my food so I called and the disinterested guy picked up. I registered my displeasure by telling him the food had delayed and that as I'd meetings, I'll be grateful if they could please hurry up. He retorted by telling me ' Eiii Madam, we also have things to do here so your food isn't ready' I then heard him ask the rude lady 'if my order was ready as I was complaining that it had delayed'. The lady then blurts out 'na )no, )ba ha time b€n a )b€ ma pressure? To wit ' what time did I even show up there to come and put pressure on them? Hmm After a few minutes, the disinterested guy ( fair in complexion) shows up with my food. I'm so so so disappointed... Will I come back? For now, nahhh. I'm done... UPDATE I’m truly humbled by the fact that Reggie, Zilla [co-owners) and Francis (the Manager) reached out. I totally appreciate the gesture; I pray your business grows from strength to strength. As agreed, I’ll definitely come back. God bless you all.

Best waakye I have ever had in accra, the flavours reminds me of waakye we used to buy from kumasi zongo. I'll highly recommend. However, am just given 4 stars as food was not warm very dissapointing, I complained thinking there was a microwave but nothing! Strange as food was being kept warm in a big pot. Anyway it didn't take the typical waakye flavour away. The environmental is nice and clean with great ambiance, will return but earlier to get fresh waakye served.

Had high hopes this waakye was no better than Legon night market. The waakye took 45 mins to come out was luke warm and unappealing. The wait time coupled with the flies and the heat from the doors being propped open made this such an unpleasant overpriced experience.

I've bought food from Rockz so many times and honestly the food is worth the price. It's value for money. The waakye is delicious and they are very generous with the portion size. I was always picking up from their old location at cantonment, but I hear they've opened a new spot which I'm yet to visit. The food is really worth it.

Aftawerk is a nice place to book for waakye. The shito is very nice and a plate comes at 20 cedis and 25 cedis. You don't have to come here very hungry expecting your food very snappi. The customer service isn't encouraging from my experience. My table had to wait for long minutes before we could get anything extra. From extra shito to extra refills and even tissue. Afterwerk is the right venue to meet some of Ghana music celebrities.

Rice and beans (waakye), had my meal out side. The mixed flavors and textures is the bomb. Well cooked rice and beans, excellent seasoned stew, crunchy veggies and just right soaked gari accompanied with fried plantains topped with a boiled egg served in authentic leaves on a plate. Shito (pepper) on the side. My my my! Rockz Waakye ROCKS!! Your pick of drinks.

The best waakye in Accra, open 24 hours Friday through Sunday. They could be charging 50+ but its only 30 and definitely worth it. Reggie is one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet and always a fun educational experience talking to the hiplife originator.

Had early Saturday morning waakye here with the family. Very pleasant atmosphere, lovely vibe. Some of the ladies could do with training in customer care (they need to be a bit more courteous and warm) and politeness. Otherwise not bad at all.

For someone who does not like Waakye and decided to try it for the first time, disappointed is an understatement. I ordered this food on Glovo due to the rates it had. The food was terrible! The waakye was watery, almost like soft eba, the fish was so small and tasted bad as well.for that salad I won’t even go there, the evidence is in the picture.I believe they can do better , because this actually one of the worse food I have ordered online. I almost forgot , thanks for giving me that burnt offering as plantain.

  • 4/5 gigi s. 1 year ago on Google
The food here is amazing, and so is the vibe. The only downside I can say is that the waakyee is expensive paaaaa. Especially for locals. 40gh for just waakye no meat or eggs hmmm. Other than that Rockz is the best !!!

  • 5/5 Divine s. 1 year ago on Google
Rockz waakye is one of the best waakye you can get in accra. The food is always on point and hasn't disappointed even for a single day. The customer service is also very good whether its buying directly or ordering via phone. There is a huge parking area and the place is very lively depending on the hours of the day. Anyone who wants to dine in also has a very nice area for you to sit and enjoy your waakye. I will recommend it to anyone who needs to enjoy waakye in accra and its environs. Good job rockz waakye keep it up as always.

It didn't live up to the hype. I sat at the roof top and the place needs some tender care, such as cleaning ,it 's dusty all over. I expected more for an establishment at that location, but was disappointed.

Very nice Waakye! My absolute favourite. But 3 star because they have never answered my call since they moved to their new location. As I type this out, I’m sitting here waiting for 4 packs . Been here for over 15 min. All because I was unable to get a hold of someone to pre-order and I’m late for an appointment
