I’ve been here more than once and I’m still willing to go again. I love the environment and breath of fresh air over here. It’s so relaxing. I’ve been fortunate to see elephants and other animals every time. The best time to go on the safari drive is early in the morning before breakfast. That’s when most of the animals come out to find food, especially if it rained the day before.

Highly recommend this tourist destination in Mole, Larabanga Ghana. Very professional staff, tour guides and park rangers for the Safari experience!! Flying in from accra to tamale and then driving to Mole will be your best bet.

We paid 46cedis to enter the park. Jeep safari costs 400 cedis, and it has 8 seats. You can share the costs of the jeep. The more passengers, the less you pay. We only saw cantaloupe, one big savanna elephant, baboons from far view. We took the tour for two hours from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. It was okay, but we didn't see much of the wild animals.

It was my first safari ever and the pricing is very affordable for both Ghanaians and foreigners. I opted in for the drive safari with others (the cost is split) and we drove around for 2.5 hours. We didn't get to see much at all and no elephants unfortunately because it is dry season, so I have to come back! I did get to see antelopes and baboons though. However it was a great experience overall. -Christina Jane, Travel Lifestyle Blogger: beingchristinajane.com

Organisation could be better, took about an hour to get us a safari truck and ranger. Nothing much to see apart from antelopes and elephants(this may be due to the season). If you must visit, then sometime around may and June would be ideal

We got to see some of the game reserves but due to weather conditions most of the animals were in hibernation. The mole resort was great. Views and food. And some bamboos coming around looks fun.

This in my opinion is the best park in Ghana. Nice and well educated tour guides. The thrill of being one with nature is golden. I'm certainly going back some day for the night Safari.

This is an incredible place. Plenty of wildlife all around. Beautiful comfortable accommodation. Lovely infinity pool area. Guides are very knowledgeable and go to a lot of trouble to point out all the amazing creatures. Can highly recommend this Park.

I payed 46cedis entrance. Then for a two hours jeep safari we were 5 people so we shared the 400cedis price, paying 80 cedis each. This is a bargain price for a safari. The guide was good and this is considered the best NP of Ghana. In Ghana though the wildlife is not so evident as in east and south Africa. We saw elephants, antelopes, phacocherus birds and some monkeys.

Our visit to Mole National Park was a fantastic experience. We had the privilege of observing magnificent giant elephants, playful olive baboons, warthogs, and graceful antelopes. However, we encountered some challenges with Tsetse flies and were unfortunately bitten multiple times. It was somewhat disappointing because we believe that better information about the Tsetse fly outbreak before our trip would have allowed us to prepare more effectively. Additionally, it would have been helpful if the safari had offered insect repellent, even for purchase, considering the potential consequences of the bites. Despite this, it was a memorable journey, although my wife and I did fall ill afterward due to the numerous Tsetse fly bites.

This is an absolutely amazing place, Mole National Park is beautifully situated in the north of the county and it captures everything you'd expect of Ghana and West Africa. The staff cater for all, there are safari walks, drives and night one to choose from. I'd do all 3 however my favourite was the walk, it's well worth getting up for. Top tips 1. Always lock your door or you might find a baboon in your room. 2. Book / order your food well in advance (its tasty) 3. Club lager is the best beer and very cheap too! The sun set is spectacular with a beer in hand! You won't be disappointed.

Welcome Welcome to Mole National Park (pronounced ‘Moh-lay’), the nature lover’s treasure trove! Located within the Savannaland Tourism Destination Area, Mole is Ghana’s first, largest and most prestigious protected area. The Park is managed mainly for its outstanding natural, physical, historical and cultural values. It covers an area of 4,577 km2 of fairly undisturbed Guinea savannah in the northern part of Ghana. Mole is rich in biodiversity and home to some 742 vascular plant species, over 90 mammal species including 5 primatespecies, of which species of conservation and tourist interest include Elephant, Buffalo, Kob, Western Hartebeest, Roan Antelope, Defassa Waterbuck, Oribi, Bohor Reedbuck and Red-flanked Duiker. Rare and endangered species include the Yellow-backed Duiker, Black and White Colobus Monkey, Leopard and Lion. The Park is also home to 334 bird species, 33 reptiles, 9 amphibian species, and some 120 butterfly species. The Park has the most viable elephant population in Ghana, and as such, is a hotspot for elephant conservation. It is also said that the Park has a unique breed of elephant, which are not hostile, not aggressive or insecure, compared to other elephant populations in the rest of Africa. Mole is one of seven National Parks in Ghana. The other wildlife estates include six Resource Reserves, two wildlife sanctuaries, one Strict Nature Reserve and five Ramsar sites, managed by the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission of Ghana. The Park’s mission is to sustainably manage the wildlife resources of Mole National Park, increase revenue, and generate economic activities around the Park with a view to contribute towards local socio-economic development. Effective law enforcement and protection of the Park is ensured through the establishment of the range system, and collaboration with fringe communities. Today, Mole National Park is inscribed on UNESCO’s Tentative List of World Heritage Properties in 2000 and is working and striving to achieve World Heritage Site status soon. The Park is accessible by road. It also has an airstrip, which is out of use. Mole shares its borders with 33 fringe communities in two of Ghana’s regions: the Northern Region and the Upper West Region. In addition to savouring the precious flora and fauna through game viewing, bird watching, informative walks and camping, visitors to the Park can also visit some of the neighbouring communities, and experience their rich cultural heritage, architecture and traditional livelihood activities, among others. Nearby tourist attractions include Bui National Park, Gbele Resource Reserve, Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary, Paga Crocodile Pond, Paga Pio’s Palace, Wa Naa’s Palace, Pikworo Slave Camp, Sirigu (for its architecture and exterior décor), Ancient Mosques (particularly Larabanga, Bole and Nakose), the Kraal buildings, Nalerigu Defense Wall, Gwollu Defence Wall, Navrongo Cathedral, and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, also at Navrongo. There is also the Tamale Centre for National Culture, Larabanga Mystery Stone, Wuling Mushroom Rock, and Daboya Smock Village.

Ussher Fort is a fort in Accra, Ghana. It was built by the Dutch in 1649 as Fort Crèvecœur, and is a day's march from Elmina and to the east of Accra on a rocky point between two lagoons. It was one of three forts that Europeans built in the region during the middle of the 17th century.

Mole National Park is one of the largest natural park in the world. It consist of wild and domestic animals. The park is natural in the sense that, all the wild animals there have not been trained so therefore the live in their natural way that makes it beautiful. There are a lot of mammals, birds, reptile and many kinds of species of trees. Go and experience the wonderful work of our creator. The reception is awesome, thanks.

Mole National park is a very interesting place to visit in the Savanna region of Ghana. It was my first time seeing an elephant and the experience was awesome! A jeep for a tour will cost you around 400 cedis (depending on the time you’re seeing this review) and each jeep has about 8 seats so you can split the cost. It’s an experience you wouldn’t want to miss when you visit Ghana and especially the Savanna region.

I recently visited the National park and had an incredible experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to see some of the park's most iconic animals up close, 😌( the elephants). I was able to watch a family of elephants. I particularly enjoyed wandering through the park Throughout my visit, I was impressed by the park. The staff were knowledgeable about the animals and their habitat Had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves animals or enjoys spending time in nature. I can't wait to go back and visit again! The only downside would be the afternoon sun So, you could try going in the morning 😅 Or enjoy your dose of sunlight.

Visited Mole National Park Sept 2019! Not a good place if you have allergies! Staff have no idea what an allergy is. A member of my team had a near death experience due to nuts being in their chicken seasoning. Management did not deal with this situation in a professional manner and didn't want to log this incident. Had no running water at night therefore had to flush toilet with buckets of water left in the bathroom! Chair covers in the earing areas were dirty and greasy and one could smell the toilet nearby (stones throw away). Most you'll see in safari are elephants/antelopes/deets. Dont expect much when visiting this place! Prices are extortionate for tourists so I advice you to do your homework.

You can't go up north and not visit Mole national park. The land size is huge, breathtaking with so much wildlife. The entry fee is reasonable but strongly suggests you go with cars such as a pickup, tundra, 4x4 etc so you don't have to rent a jeep for the safari.

(Translated by Google) It is quite good, it is not very big but it is worth it, the hotel is good, it does not come out too badly priced. The restaurant has four things and they are not very tasty. The safari by car is a joke, if you stay at the hotel they tell you to leave at 7 in the morning and the best time to see the elephants is around 9, you choose the time to go, the next day we returned to take another three-hour safari because according to them there was a different route and they had us walking around and we did not see a single bug, nor landscape nor anything (Original) Esta bastante bien, no es muy grande pero merece la pena , el hotel esta bien, no sale muy mal de precio .

This is a national treasure that belongs to the whole world. The wildlife in this park are free and majestic, exuding Nature's awesomeness in all its beauty. Put it on your destination next time you visit Ghana. The on site accommodations are not 5-star but they keep you close to Nature and caress you with authenticity.

The game rangers will accompany you on a walking or driving safari. Our ranger was great and very knowledgeable on all the wildlife large and small. He pointed out elephant and hyena tracks. Colorful birds and so forth. While it was the raining season are ability to travel the park was limited. I would suggest the zaina lodge vehicles for tours.

The game warden was very resourceful and knowledgeable. To have a great experience I'd recommend a drive through with the safari jeep. Charges are on hourly basis and quite affordable. Got the chance to see some animals for the first time in my life 😂 Worthwhile and a great experience

It’s best to go during the dry season because per what the tour guide said, most of the animals only come out during the dry season.

Taxi from Larabanga to the park: 40-50 cedis. Entrance to the park 46 cedis (prices on their website are not updated). Safaris are from 7:00-9:00, 11:00-13:00, 15:30-17:30 or the night safari 19:00-21:00. For walking safari you only pay 12 cedis per hour per person (so 24 cedis in total), for jeep safari you rent the car for 200 cedis per hour (so 400 for the 2 hours, you can’t do less). You can share the jeep with 7, so at the end the price is reasonable. Maybe I was unlucky, I don’t know, but in the 2 hours we didn’t see much, just 1 elephant, some monkeys and some antelopes. Other people told me as well they didn’t see much. Some guys went camping for 2 nights in the park and saw nothing. From the swimming pool of the motel you can actually see more, as elephants go to the pool below to drink.. but of course they are very far. I don’t understand why we didn’t go there with the jeep since apparently elephants are always there. Tbh I was very disappointed and wouldn’t go back again.

Mole National Park 🏞️ is the biggest protected area in Ghana 🇬🇭 with a total land area of 4577km2. It is home to various wildlife species and a perfect spot for research, vacation, and other activities. For the best experience visit the park and have your own story to tell. The park has a souvenir shop that will help leave with a memory and experience of what the park has to offer.

Services weren't good, lack of water pressure, hardly had anything we could order from their menu. As far as the Safari, you mostly saw antelope. We were told the night Safari were best after the fact. Our tour group left after one night.

Ghana’s biggest wild life sanctuary. Located at mole. Mole is a name of the River that flow through the parc. Wild animals are their main attraction. They have special cars and trucks to visit inside the forest. After we pay the drivers carry us to the forest inside. Elephant, deers are their attraction. They have the hotel facility to stay. They will make arrangements if we need to visit the near village, the village they keep as the tradition life style. But it seems they are not following the traditional life there but for the tourist purpose they are acting like the traditional life.

The furthest south of Ghana’s last six historic mud mosques of Sudano-Sahelian architecture. Also notable because it has the highest towers of the group. Origin and age are unknown, but it was probably 19th century. Mosque is beautiful but is at a very crowded intersection and VRA decided to install a transformer next to it and run dozens of ugly wires around.
