Really incredible place, and this review coming from a meat eater. I do like to eat vegan food from time to time, and the food selection here is great. Price of items very reasonable too, and the coffees were delicious. The spices and flavours were on point, and you do it like a tapas selection. But the portion sizes are really good as well, so I’d recommend two main plates and a side plate that would soon fill you up. Would recommend to everybody and shall be returning again. Thank you 👍🏻

The food was absolutely delicious! As well as the mock tails which were full of colour and taste. Staff were welcoming and keen to get us a table which was appreciated, especially as we didn’t have a booking. My only gripes is that we were way too full because we ordered to much and we explained it was our first time so it would have been nice to have a bit more ordering guidance. Will definitely be back tho! Stunning vegan cheese cake.

This is an absolutely fantastic restaurant, and the perfect place for a vegan. Firstly, the service is absolutely excellent. They are polite, kind and very attentive. The food itself is also absolutely lovely, and there is a wide range of different tapas options. The drinks are also absolutely lovely, and I’d recommend the cocktails here which are first class. There is also a lovely vibe, and the prices are fairly reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

A lovely place with friendly staff. I’m not a vegan, went with two friends who are and loved all the food. We ordered small plates to share: tostadas, lentil pancakes, Arancini, bao buns and quesadilla. Arancinis were a bit on the heavy side but other than that everything was super tasty. We had lemonades to drink: strawberry and basil and blackberry and mint. Both delicious and so rich that we kept adding water to them and they lasted till the end of the meal. We finished off with a strawberry tart, which my friends liked and I wasn’t too impressed but this might be because I’m not even a vegetarian. Anyway, this place is not very cheap but definitely worth visiting.

It's rare to go to a restaurant and want to try literally everything on the menu! My family and I went here during September for an early Sunday lunch. All the covid stuff was well organised and there was plenty of space between tables Friendly, attentive service, too! From the brunch menu, I ordered the buffalo cauliflower burrito. Seriously great flavours in this thing - even if the cauli was a little too crunchy for my taste. In truth the highlight of the dish was a small bowl of well-seasoned beans with homemade tortilla chips. Delicious! Everyone else at the table enjoyed their dishes - most opted for the breakfast plate. The tofu 'bacon' is a game changer! Some ordered 'tapas' dishes and I'd love to come back one evening and work through the list. Overall, it makes me sad that I live over two hours away from here. This is exactly the kind of place to bring sceptical omnis to show them how good vegan food can be.

Great menu! Love that I can go into a restaurant and be spoilt for choice! The quesadillas were so tasty!! The staff were very attentive and helpful. The ambiance was good, but it was very warm inside due to weather and the A/C only helped a little. Apart from this, for vegan food choices, staff and ambiance this place is worth a visit.

Food: …well it was so good I basically ate it before I remembered to take a photo, oops!! Amazing gluten free options, all clearly marked on the menu. Dog friendly: not only were my two boys fussed over so much by staff, they had their own water dish - and even a blanket! They had such a great time and were treated like actual princes. Thank you!

I am currently on holiday in South Norfolk, roughly an equal distance away from both Norwich and Southwold. Out of the two destinations, did I choose to visit Norwich based on the many vegan options available there? Yes; yes, I did. The Tipsy Vegan was a great restaurant to stop for lunch after some sightseeing. I enjoyed every small plate I ordered, in particular the bao buns. Mac and cheese with added 'chorizo' was a dreamy side too. I'd love to come back here one day.

We loved this place! I'm vegetarian and it was so nice to look at a menu and know I could eat everything. The service was really good, thanks to Emily our waitress, and it had a cosy atmosphere. The kind of place you could spend in for hours just ordering small plates and enjoying the vibes. We'll be back!

What a great place!! I'm a veggie rather than vegan but on a recent day trip to Norwich I looked this place up & wanted to try it out. It really is fabulous food! Who needs meat - the flavours are amazing and great portions. Will definitely revisit next time we're in Norwich. I encourage anyone - meat eaters, veggies and everyone else to try this place!

Wow, were do I start, my partner and I just had the BEST vegan meal ever! We went for the tapas menu, the venue was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a very good choices of drinks too.i would highly recommend a visit, the music was excellent, it was a lovely experience, 🙏

Appetizers, Small Plates and Sides, plus desserts and cocktails - both alcoholic and low- or non-alcoholic drinks. Five dishes were plenty for the two of us. We especially liked the Cajun cauliflower tacos, Hungarian ragout and the broccoli with miso sauce. Lots more dishes to try.

there on the off chance on Sunday for lunch. Staff were great in trying to find us a table. Food is spot on, my first choice wasn't available - which was lucky as the chickpea fritter (see pic) was ay yummy substitute. You don't need to be vegan to enjoy this great food, with great staff in a great environment. Would be worth booking to make sure you get into this little gem.

It was absolutely delightful to be there at The Tipsy Vegan and their curated new menu made me wonder why I haven’t become vegan yet. From Pistachio flavour infused old fashioned cocktail to buffalo cauliflower tacos or vegan bacon arancini and lemon and ginger cheesecake, there was nothing you can possibly not like! Despite being a hard core non vegetarian, I thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks here and would highly recommend their entire menu!

Been here a couple of times. First on Sat 29th April and the food and customer service were excellent. Visited here again with two friends at 7pm on Monday 21st August and was very disappointed. They weren't busy but took 25mins to bring 3 lemonade based drinks to our table. My food arrived at 8:10pm with my friends meals both arriving around 8:30pm, with no apology for the delay. I had to approach a waitress for further drinks and again when we were interested in ordering a dessert. At no point were we asked if everything was okay with our meal. We appeared to be an inconvenience as they turned the lights off in the main part of the restaurant at 9pm. The only time we were finally approached is when they wanted us to leave and the bill was swiftly offered. It's disappointing that the customer service has gone so drastically downhill from our our initial visit in April, when they were fully booked on a Saturday evening.

We went in for a birthday meal, and it was absolutely awesome. Food was delicious and fresh, portions were definitely big enough (and a half size / half price option for my little boy was very handy, too) and we all loved it. The staff was welcoming, our waitress was very polite and helpful and she kindly offered a colouring book and pens for my son,which made the whole visit much more enjoyable. It was definitely worth driving for 1 hour to get there, and we definitely are coming back.

Tipsy is always our go-to on a Friday night when we treat ourselves to a meal out. It’s hands-down the best exclusively vegan restaurant in Norwich and as a vegan couple, it never lets us down on its delicious variety of dishes, fantastic and accommodating customer service from the lovely staff and a super cool vibe and atmosphere to just enjoy great food and company. Their alcohol-free cocktails are so good too and I never feel like I’m missing out! Shout outs to the arancini, sharing board platter and the burrito dish - they are definitely must-haves :)

Had a great meal here on Sunday, cocktails were super boozy and tasty, the food was fantastic and I'd been keen to try the juicy marbles steak for ages, the waitress was lovely, reasonably priced dinner and the decor was great. Only critique was that we were some of the only diners which dimmed the atmosphere a little bit but that's a sign of the times! Would definitely recommend for very good vegan food.

Good quite cosy feel. Food was good , only if the portion size were bigger!. Service was good. Centrally located. No parking facility and have to park in the multi storey car park. This is a Vegan resuturant and the quality of food was excellent.

Amazing food. Delightful staff. Lovely restaurant. My daughter and I would recommend this place to everyone. Had a sharer for starters and 4 tapas style dished. The alcoholic watermelon 🍉 cocktail went down well with the food, which my daughter had to try. Lovely restrooms with cacti from the same shop we had just been shopping in!

What a wonderful evening. Firstly they squeezed us in on a Friday evening with 2hrs notice, and even offered us a free round of drinks as our table was ready about 2 minutes late! Service was incredible all evening and the food is something else. Can't recommend highly enough.

Lots to love, nice decor, friendly staff, and the social distancing screens actually give it a lovely "booths" atmosphere. To be honest the menu feels like it's catering too much to former meat eaters who miss it, and I'd rather see more identifiable things (seeds, nuts, veg, fruit) and subtlety, and less TVP and fewer strong flavours and fried things, but that being said, it was a nice meal and I love the "small plates" style that allows for variety. The cocktails were great fun and the dessert very nice indeed. Fair value too.

Came for my Nephew's birthday...he's vegan, we're not, so some of the family were a little concerned...but how wrong they were. This was not only some of the best food I've eaten out recently, but for everyone eating it was a revelation! I've eaten at a couple of vegan restaurants, but this was on another level. Thanks to the chefs and the staff for making it such a lovely meal...will be back....to eat more food!

Simply put, the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to. Not only was the food amazing (patatas bravas, croquettes and mac & cheese highly recommended), the staff was kind and attentive (thanks Will), and the decor and music was on point. You'd be a fool not to drop by!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The whole menu is vegan and you're asked when ordering if you have any allergies that the chef should know about. The side of fries was massive and I would recommend getting that alongside two of the small dishes 🍟 stylish decor and good vibes 💕

Great service, cocktails and and especially important, great food. We're not vegan but our friends are vegan foodies. As we all loved the food and the staff were all friendly and helpful, it's an easy 5 star for this great little restaurant. Definitely try it whether you are vegan or not, as it is so good.

We thought we would give this restaurant a go as my daughter is vegan. The menu is fairly limited but we each chose a different dish so we could share. The chips and sweet potato burgers are tasty. The mocktails are also quite nice. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The bill came to around £65 which seemed a bit pricey as the portions were quite small but we all enjoyed the experience, even the meat eaters amongst us.

A gem in the city! The food was tasty and the portions were generous, the concept of dishes to share is a real plus. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere will make you feel good. We’ll certainly go again when we come back to Norwich!

We came here on a Sunday and had their roast. It was a really great meal, my partner has their gluten free roast and it was as good as my mushroom wellington. I really enjoyed a cherry Bakewell dessert too. The interior is nicely decorated, very pleasant to sit in. The staff were friendly and helpful too, happy to help us.

Definitely in my top 10 fav vegan restaurants! The staff were friendly, welcoming and quick with service. Everything we ordered on the menu was delicious! They also have a wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. I’m usually funny about tapas portions but they were generous and very filling. My favourite was the Mac and cheese, coconut crispy tofu and the parm and herb chips! I would happily have ordered everything on the menu. Can’t wait to visit again.

I love to go to a fully vegan restaurant, it makes it so easy! The wait staff are lovely, cocktails are delicious and the food is great too! One thing I miss being vegan is a nibbles board and they do a great one! Their Mac and cheese is pretty good too! Deffo worth a go!

Great food, lovely cocktails and soft drinks. The atmosphere and staff were amazing too. We turned up late for our reservation accidentally but the manager was really accomodating and we enjoyed our meal and drinks with no issues or time constraints. Will definitely visit again when we are in town. Wonderful.

Catered to my toddlers dietary requirements today and were so helpful. He had the quesadilla and plain chips and he loved it. Makes dining out a pleasure and not something to stress about.

The charcuterie sharing platter was a lovely start to our light lunch. The portions were generous and consisted of some very tasty morsels. The pickled grapes were a very pleasant surprise. We shared the burrito which I'd swapped out the chips for potato wedges with parmesan grated over. This was enough to fill us both up but if you're ravenous or have a large appetite then this is certainly a lunch for one. All in all our meal was very tasty and well presented. The service was good although there was quite a significant wait for it to be brought out to us.

Such a delicious spot for vegans, a truly incredible array of meals. The tapas options are a great idea, giving you the chance to try lots of different plant based alternatives. Such a treat for both vegans and non vegans!

Really impressive vegan spot in Norwich. I wanted everything on the menu! The hot cheese dish with pita to dip was GLORIOUS. The Arancini were a joy. I had the steak as a main and found the accompanying potatoes disappointing (hard, dry and bland) but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt as everything else was so good. Really liked their exciting selection of non alcoholic cocktails and enjoyed the one I chose. Hope to be able to return and try their other options sometime!

There is so much excitement behind the doors. Also, TipsyVegan have just signed up for Norwich Eats the local food ordering firm based in Norwich. Local all the way!

Tasty food, friendly service - it‘s all vegan but my meat-eating companion was equally happy with his food. You may need to reserve on a Friday or Saturday night though they managed to squeeze us in without a reservation.

We love The Tipsy Vegan. Our daughter is vegan, so it's a great place to go for a family meal where she can have a wide range of options yet the rest of us can enjoy all the food too. We've tried other vegan restaurants in Norwich and further afield, but none come close to The Tipsy Vegan for the combination of great service, lovely atmosphere, and really tasty food. We just celebrated my wife's birthday there and had the Christmas menu. Every dish was delicious, as were the cocktails. I had the Massaman pie....a proper pie, with tasty filling and great pastry top and bottom. The food has all been created on site (not bought in) and prepared with a passion for delivering a great customer experience. We'll be back very soon.

I came here for my birthday meal back in September, and have been before. they have set up the restaurant perfectly to adhere to covid restrictions, the process of ordering & receiving table service works brilliantly, the staff are all so kind and welcoming, and the food is cooked to perfection.

We tried to go for dinner on Friday night but having not booked they could not fit us in right away. We didn't have time to wait but having looked at the menu we didn't want to miss out, so we booked for brunch the next morning. Arrived at 11 on Saturday when it was much quieter and we probably didn't need to have booked. Brunch menu itself only had two choices but the main menu was also available so no problem there. Main menu had plenty of choice and was well labelled so my friend who is gluten free could easily choose. I had the pecan pancakes whilst my friend had beetroot burger and we shared a side of the mac and cheese. Everything delicious and very nourishing for the morning after the night out before! Service very friendly.

We came in for dinner on Friday night and although I rarely leave reviews I wanted to highlight how amazing both the service and food were at The Tipsy Vegan. Staff were really helpful and accommodating when booking over email, and our experience was the perfect balance of friendly and relaxing whilst also being super-efficient with social distancing and COVID-related hygiene measures. The food was delicious, the cocktails were amazing, and the staff and atmosphere were really lovely. The Bao buns and the Coconut Tofu bites were the highlight! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when we are next in the area!

Absolutely delicious! The menu is a good size with a range of different options. We had 2 mains, and a few tapas on the side. The food was flavourful and the perfect sized portions. The tipsy vegan is very mindful of the restrictions and makes you feel safe. We will be recommending this to all our friends.

OMG........ first time here this evening booked the table for some where different to go for me and my friend who is vegetarian. And WOW it was absolutely amazing. I've never been to a vegan restaurant before, but I will definitely be coming back and will be recommending it to all of my friends. The food was fantastic and so were the staff. With all that is going on in the world with Covid atm it's so nice to be able to go out to a Fantastic restaurant and know that the staff are looking out for your safety and that the food is amazing too...

Utterly brilliant food that happens to be vegan. The Philadelphia cheese steak and the jackfruit shawarma are a must. Both completely delicious and packed full of flavour. Incredibly yummy.
