Holy delicious!!! Being vegan or vegetarian in Athens isn’t nearly as hard as it was in Istanbul! Imagine my delight to find this restaurant!! It is just on the other side of a very busy and main street mall and has a small but amazing menu. I had the space gyro (by recommendation of the staff) and it was probably the best vegan food I have ever had. I have not eaten meat for the past three years now. My significant other (who is a meat eater) agreed it was delicious! This place is a must whether you are vegan or not! The staff was very courteous and they offer water for free. I had a lemonade which is home made and was also yummy. The prices were fair and we were very happy. Try the space gyro!!

OMG it was huge and the best vegan gyros I’ve had on my vegan gyros tour of Athens. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Saw the Space Gyros with the freshest side salad ever (size of the Acropolis!) Then the Big-Boss Burger which I would have tried after but I’m stuffed. Vegan beats has nailed vegan fast food. Would I recommend? I’d insist you go here is you’re after a gyros or burger. Would I return? Holy (happy) Cow, yes - like tomorrow.

Absolutely the best mushroom gyros I have ever had. The oyster mushrooms are seasoned very well and juicy. I would sear them a little longer for a small crunch. I would totally come back, if it was not my last day in Athens! I had a nice chat with the person, who works there and I hope they will introduce seitan to their menu, as it would be great meat replacement in pita, if seasoned well and I know they can cook! All is made fresh in place. I have visited a couple vegan/vegetarian places and this is my fav one! Highly recommended!! The food is amazing, and despite the fact that is fast food, everything is handmade (except cheese and bread), instead of meat substitute burgers and hot dogs, they use a lot of vegetables (smoked carrot as sausage, cauli flower for burger, sweet potato for burger, and so on), it is actually healthy! The prices are sooo cheap (for us)! Portions are huge, the carrot dog was giant! The snickers tarte was wonderful. That was our first night there, we will come back for sure. Incredible vegan street food! After arriving in Athens City Center from a neighboring island, I had three days worth of party time under my belt, and it wasn’t sythohol if you know what I’m saying. First thing I needed was something substantial, something fast, something that would help soak up the aftermath of all the fun I had. I craved a spicy minced Arabic pie, (something I’d never actually even had), and a gyros sandwich. I Googled vegan food, walked 5 minutes and found exactly what I was looking for! The lahmajoun is a crispy, flaky crust pie with the most incredible, spicy, flavorful minced soy filling. Reminiscent of Cardassian chorizo, spicy and smooth with just the perfect balance of onions and hummus. Boom! The space gyros sandwich was delicious as well, with a perfectly baked mushroom base, carnalities onions, cabbage, and their delicious beet house bbq. Forget about it!!! Top it off with a spiral cut skewered potato perfectly lightly fried drizzled with sauce and a couple of beers. I’m done. They did it! Belly full, comfort consumes me, party on. These folks were super friendly, very helpful and proud of their product, as well they should be. The environment is clean and bright, dining on the porch out back for people watching made for a gorgeous late lunch. Stop by immediately when it’s time for that street food fix, you won’t find better in Athens.

We were welcomed by super friendly staff, immediately making us feel comfortable. A sweet young lady behind the register even offered to speak to me in English, as my partner is Greek. We ordered two mushroom gyros, a black bean and mushroom burger, a lemonade, and spiral fries. Everything was amazing! The gyros were among the best I've ever had, regardless of them being vegan or not. Even my boyfriend enjoyed everything, although he is not a fan of mushrooms. The lemonade is, like previous people have mentioned in reviews, the best we've tried. We will definitely come back! And people, don't hesitate to eat here, vegan or not - this place is for everyone!

We found this gem and the owner and her staff were so friendly and accommodating! We had the Space Gyros, the spiral potatoes, pita with tzatziki and two refreshing lemonades. For dessert we went with the recommended Snickers tart which was divine! The owner gave me a helium heart balloon on our way out as she said my husband brought ‘positive energy’ as they were delivered when he went in! For vegans - this place is highly recommended!

We’re not full-time vegans but prefer to try great vegan when we get a chance. This was great fast food vegan food… we ordered one of each of the 4 main options and fries. In no particular order… the spiral fries were good but should have been fried longer as they weren’t crispy enough for our group, the Gyros Burger is good if you like mushrooms (just a little too much bun for us), Big Boss Burger is made with sweet potatoes and was excellent on all counts, Space Gyros is mainly mushrooms and is excellent as well, but the Lahmajoun wrap was the best of all 4. The homemade lemonade was tart but very flavourful. Service was awesome.

I went to Vegan Beat Athens tonight and the food was absolutely delicious! I had the space gyro which was very flavorful and seasoned so well, the homemade lemonade was perfect and I enjoyed the key lime pie. Other than the amazing food, the staff was very friendly. Amazing vegan food with incredibly friendly staff,good prices and a nice range of salad with the meal. Instead of cups they did spiralized deep fried potato, which was really refreshing as it wasn't as heavy as chips. I also had a turmeric, ginger lemonade which was fantastic flavour wise.

This place is truly incredible! It deserves the rating it has. We got a gyros burger and gyros in pita bread and the homemade lemonade. Everything was tasty, from the filling, the gyros to the dips and potatoes! The staff was just so friendly and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere in this place is very enjoyable. I believe the prices could be even higher for the quality of the food here. Also the homemade lemonade is basically to die for. Best vegan food in Athens!!! We had one of our best lunch/ dinner in town (we went twice as it was so tasty!). We recommend the space Gyros which was honestly amazing, full of flavour and crazily cheap for the quality. We also really enjoyed the spiral potato with its creamy homemade sauce. We also tried the lamajun which was very good as well but for us the best was the space Gyros. In addition to this, the staff is really friendly, and nice (they even served us 30’ after the closure as we really wanted to eat to their place again). Even if you have to wait, do it because it’s worth it ! Nothing else to add 10/10

A delicious vegan restaurant in Athens. My husband and I love exploring vegan restaurants and Vegan Beat was by far one of the tastiest places we have visited. We visited this place with 2 of our friends and ordered all the main courses available-burgers,gyros and wrap along with homemade lemonade. Such a variety of flavours and very affordable. Had a hearty meal . And to top it, the restaurant offers warm and friendly service. Definitely recommend this place at Athens if you like vegan food.

Husband and I were SO IMPRESSED by food, (eventhough we are not vegans) that we came back 3 times and had almost everything of the menu (space gyro, tzatziki with pida, caesar salad, fried potato, both burgers). Food is on another level, so interesting, delicious and the price is totally fine. Whole experience is awesome - staff so welcoming, restaurant spotless, food delicious. Highly recommend!

I had the Greek Dakos salad and loved it. Lots of fresh tomatoes, olives and awesome vegan feta mousse. I also had the Space Gyros. It may be a personal preference thing but I found it very heavy Maybe that’s what a Gyros is supposed to be though? The service and seating were simple and fine.

We had a long hot walk before we took a lunch break here, which was a most welcomed rest stop. They had one of the best vegan burgers I have ever had and the lemonade was amazing. They had quite a big outdoor seating area with a roof and fans but it's still too hot and bright for us that day. It got pretty busy for lunch. A couple of their customers took two tables for themselves when they could have shared one. Of course, I don't blame the café for their customers' behaviour. Just want people to be aware that if the seats are full, you should make some room for others if you can...

Wow what a vegan haven! This place is so good. My fav’s were the Greek salad - not sure how they make that vegan feta but it’s delicious and the potato. The sauce on the potato is perfection. Beyond the food the service is amazing. Great outdoor seating with a fan under a tent to keep you cool.

We saw a video about this place & had to eat there . The food is made fresh and with love ! Tried three different entrees, and all were excellent . Seating was on the front patio with picnic tables and shade . Fans and portable A/C units were in use.

I ordered a salad with cauliflower nuggets and when the meal was ready was told that two cauliflower were burnt and I get them later. But then I got more and salad to go with it. The entire staff was super friendly and the food was unbelievably delicious! Is one of the top five vegan restaurants I have ever visited. They even gave me a pen later on. Recommendation! This was one of the first vegan spots I learned about when looking up videos on where to eat vegan in Athens, and it did not disappoint. Flavorful and portions that will NOT leave you hungry. The staff are so kind and there was not a recommendation they made, that I didn't enjoy. I can not recommend this place enough. In a place full of 10's, they dialed it up to 11.

I had the most delicious, healthy, and delightful meal at Vegan Beat. I ordered the veggie tortilla wrap, which came with a huge arugula salad with apple vinaigrette, and the green detox juice. And Vasiliki, who took my order, went out of her way to write down recommendations of places to visit while I’m in Athens. It was a great start to my trip!
