We visited Pitch on Easter Day 2022 and had the most wonderful lunch. I left a glowing review. (Since removed by me) The food was exceptional and the service was truly outstanding. We were looked after by a wonderful chap who had previously been a teacher and he really really knew how to look after his customers. I couldn’t tell enough people how amazing the place was. Today, Easter 2023, one year on, and also my partner’s birthday, and I took my family back there with great excitement to celebrate the day. And I’m sad to say never again! I felt the need to apologise to my partner because it was so disappointing. Once I left I text the friends I previously recommended it to and told them not to bother. Service was half hearted and mediocre at best. Our waitress didn’t have much of an idea about the menu or drinks. A good manager trains their staff and makes sure they can answer basic questions about food being served that day. Most drinks we asked for were out of stock and the food was near inedible. We both ordered roast beef. Small portions (thank god) because it was tasteless.I requested for my beef to be well done but had to send it back as it was still pink. The photo shown is of well-done beef at my request. However, the carrot was cold, potatoes near burnt and small amount of broccoli cold too. My young son ordered sausage and chips. Somehow his chips were both completely burned and soggy at the same time. What on earth has happened in the space of a year to go from exceptional to completely unacceptable? Perhaps now that Kenny has had to close his other restaurant he might be able to get this back to what it once was. If not maybe we might see doors being closed here too.

I came here for my birthday meal and absolutely loved it. The service was flawless from start to finish: the staff were so friendly and welcoming which made the atmosphere relaxing, not often achieved in fine dining restaurants like this one. We were served by a lovely young woman who was attentive in just the right way - ensured our drinks were topped up and we had everything we needed but left us to it. The food was outstanding and lived up to our expectations. Don’t go here without trying the signature goat’s cheese doughnuts! The midweek set menu is also great value - £25 for three courses. There were lovely thoughtful touches like a card and a candle in the dessert, which I really appreciated. I’ll be back!

My husband I are real foodies but that has taken somewhat a back seat since our daughter was born I'm May 2021, naturally. This was our first lunch date out on our own since, and it was really lovely. I had the broccoli starter, stone bass main and banoffee dessert and it was delicious. The redaction of 1 star is because one of the clams in the fish dish was really gritty, so I didn't eat any more. I told the waitress, and would have expected a gesture of goodwill ina restaurant like this, even if it was only a free coffee, but there was no mention of it after I'd told her which was a shame. It didn't ruin our experience though and I'd still definitely recommend this restaurant to everybody. Very reasonably priced as well for the quality food you get.

Great restaurant. I think it is actually quite difficult to deliver such good food and look after the patrons, in such an easy going atmosphere. Pitch is not pretentious, we didn't feel uncomfortable, we felt looked after, in a friendly, fun atmosphere. The surroundings are classy and high quality, but not overbearing. We had a very relaxed evening, with great food and drink and left feeling full and happy. Perfect really. We will definitely be back.

The food was superb. Starters were perfect, delicious flavours and very good quality, mains excellent, desserts ok. Our main courses and plates could have been warmer and the staff a little more attentive as we had to get up a few times to get service during our meal, we weren't checked during courses only when being cleared but the staff were pleasant. I liked that we weren't rushed and there was a nice gap between courses. The dining area was spotlessly clean, nice atmospere too.

Absolutely amazing Sunday lunch. My other half had the sirloin beef and we have never had anything as good - he says it's the best Sunday lunch he has ever had. Service was impeccable, worth every penny!

Was OK, cocktail I had was delicious, but 2 steaks, 2 drink, and 2 side came to £116 so a little expensive, we also had to wait about 50/55 minutes for our food which is too long, bone marrow sauce I had with my steak also very tasty but my steak wasn't medium rare overall would give a 6/10

Fantastic lazy lunch outside at Pitch. Staff all lovely, couldn't do enough. Every dish - goats cheese doughnuts, hisbi cabbage with cafe de Paris butter, burrata with peach and hazelnuts, choc delice - all of it was outstanding and utterly delicious. Great wine selection too.

I was given a steak cooking lesson with Kenny as a present and I had a great time! Kenny made the evening relaxed and very enjoyable. I loved learning how to cook a lovely Rib Eye steak and Bearnaise Sauce, Kenny Tutt style! It didn’t disappoint! 🤤 Thanks Kenny and Harry!

Very good ambience with attentive staff and good choice of starters and mains, cocktails and wines. Fairly pricey but perfect for a special occasion or pleasant drink inside or out. Nice clean amenities and wallpaper, but feel service charge should be discretionary or 10% without including taxes and alcohol, ie food only. Excellent Maitre d' and chef, fresh fish and vegetables perfectly cooked and presented.

Yeah, this place is amazing. FANTASTIC food, great service (friendly, professional, but not distant) and relaxing place to be. We were upstairs which felt a little more chilled than the lower floor. The good though... Good grief.... Everything exceeded expectations (and i had high expectations). Loved every course. Will be going back.

Went here for a Sunday dinner. From start to finish had a fabulous time. Decor is tasteful, service is excellent and food is next level…amazing! We’ve been a few times and it’s always just been perfect. A charm of Worthing. Two seating areas (upstairs or downstairs)…downstairs I’d say more vibrant, and upstairs a more relaxed feel. Priced well for the quality food you receive. The waiters/waitresses all thrive on a positive energy and always offer their honest review on different menu choices. Front of house manager always offers a warm welcome. It’s fair to say they don’t hold back on quality each time we go in… which is why it’ll always be a first choice restaurant for us. Also been reliably informed that the tips/service charges go to all staff fairly within. We will be back soon!

By far the best dining experience I've had in a long while, up there with the best ever. Arriving into the foyer of the restaurant, which is light and airy and looks fresh and inviting, to being shown to a comfortable table placed just far enough from other tables so conversations aren't overheard. Emily, our waitress, greeted us and asked about allergies ( none) and then brought over a drinks menu and food menu. We wanted a Sherry aperitif to start, we couldn't find it on the menu but Emily recommended one for us, it was delicious. When it came to ordering food, we wanted a couple of light bits to share as starters, we went for the padron peppers, which come with a unique white bean hummus, that pairs perfectly, we also had the goats cheese donuts and they even gave us an extra one as there were four of us eating. These are a must, in my opinion, well balanced flavour and one of the best starts to a meal I've had. Although as they are rich, I'd recommend sharing. On to mains, I went with three small plates, one each from land, sea and earth. Lamb, crab, and vegetable arancini, this was perfect for me as I love having a selection of foods to try. They were all so delicious, but the arancini is hands down one of the best things I've ever eaten in a restaurant, I'd come back just for these. Others in our party had large plates, steak, and pork chop, all outstanding, and there wasn't a single thing left on any plate by the time we'd finished. This was all washed down with a delicious red wine. We were all too full for dessert, however the chef did send down a Barrata with peach compote that we all tasted, this is a potential new starter for the restaurant and like everything else we ate, it's delicious! The whole experience, from entering, to the tasteful, relaxed decor, to the outstanding food and fantastic service from Emily it puts Pitch at the top of the restaurant list for me. It's very difficult to get everything just right, and I'd say Pitch has done just that. It was just the perfect way to celebrate my Dad's birthday, and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Worthing.

Well what an excellent meal experience. My Wife booked a birthday lunch and we opted for the 3 course lunch menu. My pork kebabs were spicy and special, my Wife's fish cakes were delicious, fishy and piping hot. My Minute Steak cooked beautifully, tender, tasty and delicious with chips. My Wife's Vegetarian Risotto creamy and flavoursome. We both finished with the Affagato, a hot espresso coffee poured over clotted cream ice cream. The quality of food, service excellence and relaxing ambience make Pitch a must go to venue.

Absolutely amazing food, couldn't fault it. Service however lacked slightly, waited ages for a menu and someone to take a drinks order and again for dessert. It was a shame but wouldn't stop me going back.

Pitch made us feel so special when we came to eat. Due to dietary issues, they created a menu just for us and the meal was excellent. Catered completely for low fodMap, dairy and gluten free and the staff were attentive, relaxed and friendly. We had a fantastic night and have no issues today. Good to be back supporting local businesses after the past few months. This restaurant, as ever, served fabulous food, with friendly and attentive service. Restaurant was busy, with perfect socially distanced measures in place. Love this place and can't wait to go back.

Been to Pitch 3 times can't fault it . The food is very very good service very good staff very helpful and nice. Can't wait to go again.

We thought this place is a coffee shop since they have a sign outside the shop and it said ' But first coffee..'. So, we expected nice cup of coffee and a piece of cake. Apparently that is restaurant and have a food smell. ( I like coffee smell in the coffee shop) We met heavy rain at that time and we didn't want to out again. Anyway coffee itself not really bad and they have some different type of piece of cake with icecream and that cost £9!! Main menu price were around £18 though. So expensive what it was. So we didn't order. I think whatever that is a fancy a piece of cake it should be like £6ish or less. And they should change the outside sign so it is clearer for customers.

The Sunday roast was cold , the roast potatoes were rock hard and the rest of the vegs were over cooked. There was a very poor selection of deserts. The service was very good. I don't think the judges on master chief would have been impressed.

It was our first visit to this new restaurant and i was absolutely wonderful. The interior is quite stylish. There was not much to choose from on the menu tho, but despite that the food was very well cooked.

We had a wonderful experience, even during these strange times the staff were amazing and the food was extraordinary as were the cocktails and wines👍👍 Thank you, we will be back.

It was nice. I had the pork cheek for starter and Guinea fowl for main. I wasn't blown away, but that maybe down to misjudging my order.
