Immediately into entering the restaurant, we were greeted with energy and enthusiasm. Very friendly people right off the back and made us feel comfortable and welcome. We sat down and looked at the very extensive menu. Luckily, we sound a dish for two that had an array of different dishes to be able to try a few different things. It was served with African bread, chicken, plantains, jollof rice, spinach, and cabbage. What an amazing dish! Everything was so flavorful, perfect cooked and piping hot. I was blown away by the quality and quantity. It was a perfect introduction into a cuisine I've never had. It was so good. I can't wait to go back. The wait staff was extremely friendly and tentative. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great meal from great people.

Theodora and Sylvester’s restaurant was the perfect way to end my vacation. They were warm and welcoming, and made you feel like you were family. It was my first time trying West African cuisine, and it was spectacular. I could taste the time and dedication they put into their food. I wish they had a location in Minnesota. I’d go at least once a week!

I had the cabbage stew with jollof rice with no heat (spice). I loved the fact that they asked whether I wanted it spicy or not. The food was delicious and fulfilling, even with us ordering from the lunch menu. We were a party of 12, and felt very accommodated and comfortable. They welcomed us like family and overall had a great time. The restaurant/bathroom was clean and I loved the decor. I am definitely returning to try much much more on the menu…oh and the prices are good. It’s worth it and you get excellent service. I wish them well !!!

The wait was long so initially I was feeling some type of way. It was a live music night and I was looking forward to that. Everything changed when we received our food. Wow! So authentic and rich in African flavors. We weren’t even upset about the service anymore. It’s a beautiful place with 2 different dining options. The owners clearly take pride in what they do. Easily 5 star based on food alone. We plan on returning when it is less busy. Highly recommend if you’re craving some good African food

My favorite local spot to eat. The food is always amazing and the family who runs the place are always super friendly, nice, and helpful. The goat is always cooked perfectly, the plantains are some of the best I've had in the area, and everything is always delicious. Never disappoints!

I’m all for supporting black businesses and they seem to be a lovely family but this is beyond my comprehension. I’m not even gonna talk about the little amount of food for that price, but the fact that I put in 2 different orders and it was placed in one exasperates me. Now I have to split this into two before eating. My sister actually accused me of eating mine before getting home because she didn’t believe me. It didn’t make sense to here. I don’t know…I’m just speechless

Incredible experience! Everything fully exceeded our expectations - the service and the food were excellent. You are rewarded with an open mind to the location, etc.. Try something new - all our dishes were delicious and unique. The owners/staff will have you smiling within minutes, and the food will have you wanting more... just be careful, you may leave stuffed! We'll be back for sure.

Amazing experience! Spacious atmosphere, family owned vibe. Amazing selection of fufu, not only in Denver but in the U.S.! The food was top notch. Amazing spicy jolaf rice. The oxtail was great. Loved the casava fufu and spinach, perfect spice level. We tried so many things on the menu, the goat, the lamb, the okra, all of it was delicious!! We had four different kinds of fufu and all of them were amazing. The owner was so gracious so personal, so friendly, so helpful and handmade everything. It was a 10/10 experience for us and we most definitely would go back every time we were in Denver!!
