Went for a quick lunch. Have heard mixed review about this restaurant. It has very nice decor with natural daylight. Some creative dishes and quite a good collection of wines. Ordered the set lunch and turned out to be better than I thought, great flavours with fresh ingredients and some twists. I enjoyed them, however the services are subpar. One of the managers was quite rude. She’s not professional and even said to me that, “I am explaining to you, this was…” It definitely didn’t make me feel welcome or worth a second visit.

Great atmosphere but there was a crab shell in my crab crumpet this morning. Server was not attentive, we had finish the entire meal and while he was clearing the plate I told him about the incident, he was rather unapologetic. I wanted to order another portion of scrambled eggs. but couldn't get his attention. We had to get his colleague who was plating the table beside us to get him to come over for an additional order.

Absolutely loved it! I would say it was the most delicious food what I’ve ever had! Service - amazing! Place is so stylish and cool. I’m not that posh person who can let myself to visit places like this too often. But it 100% must have place in central London! Stuff are so nice and polite and you feel comfortable in there. Highly highly recommend to visit it!

We had the set lunch and it was wonderful. The venue is beautifully decorated and you can’t hear any noise from the street outside. Only slight criticism is the wine prices which in my opinion have quite a high markup (starting at around £50 a bottle). Overall a great lunch experience, thank you!

We had the lunchtime set menu with wine pairing at Hide to celebrate my husband’s birthday! The staff and service is excellent and the food was amazing… the bread and mushroom broth before the menu even started was amazing and I could’ve happily had 5 courses of that :-) I really enjoyed the squid ink battered spring onion - it was delicious! The restaurant itself is beautiful and it’s a great location in central london looking out over Green Park!

Lovely dining experience. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and we both loved the food. Really creative and inventive. The acorn cake was an absolute highlight, it was quite wonderful. My only minor issues were that, despite being practically empty (it was a Tuesday lunch), it took quite a while to get any menus after being seated (over 10 minutes, at least) and then we also had to wait a similar amount of time to get the bill after dining. Not a huge issue. Delicious wine selection too, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful.

One of the top restaurants in London if you ask me. Unpretentious Michelin start level food; best scallops I have ever tried, the octopus was incredible, and the food in general was excellent. Its the first restaurant where we’ve been offered alcohol free champagne and wine, which is a plus. The service is attentive and friendly, thank you Chloe & team for the recommendations!

Staff were friendly and attentive. The quality of the food was great. For nibbles and starters, we thought the Nest egg was nice but it didn’t ‘wow’ us (especially at £9 an egg). The bread basket and soft shell crab were delicious, as were the olives. The charcuterie board isn’t worth ordering, couldn’t taste anything from the meat. The truffle pasta was amazing. For mains, we had duck and the trio of lobster. I couldn’t fault the duck. It was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The steamed bun surprised me too, full of meat and very enjoyable. My husband had the lobster dishes, which he said were nice but were probably style and presentation over substance, and didn’t match with the price. Overall a lovely meal. The venue is nice with slightly lower than ground level with full glass walls. My only criticism of this is that we were by a window near the back bar, and didn’t find looking at huge bins very pleasant! Not sure I would return, as for £250+ we’ve had better experiences elsewhere.

Really loved our dinner experience at Hide. The atmosphere was great, the food was impeccable and the service was excellent. Specially the sommelier who was just outstanding. The flavours were so fresh and complex, it was like taking a food journey. Highly recommend visiting and highly recommend signature acorn cake. A perfect date night destination

Great experience overall. We decided to return and have the early set menu as we had only had the upstairs tasting menu before. While the selection was limited (as with any set menu) we found all the options really great. Service was prompt and the sommelier was very helpful with wines. The only let down was the cheese which 1) was served with rather bland and dry fruitcake and 2) we were not even asked about the choice of cheese. Overall a very good experience and great value.

Truly a great overall experience with unique dishes and wines in the tasting menu. The service and staff were friendly however, more than a few times it felt as though we were being handled by too many individuals and the flow from course to course or wine pairing was disjointed or delayed. Food was unique and delicious; presentation was beautiful and creative. Will definitely come back.

Overall extremely pleasant experience. All staff were very welcoming. The decor was modern and sophisticated. Mouthwatering breakfast dishes and pretty good coffee. Hide Croque monsieur might be too much for one person as it is pretty filling. Fair price which is surprising given the prime location.

Overall, It was a one of the best breakfast experiences in London. Food was perfect and delicious, especially the truffle scrambled egg and the French toast, everything was beyond my expectations. The service was great and they were so friendly, their hospitality was great. Amazing place and well trained staff. I will definitely recommend it for everyone I know.

I visited Hide with my partner yesterday for lunch to celebrate our five year anniversary. Unfortunately it wasn't good enough overall for us to be able to recommend going. To be fair, the dishes I chose were delicious: the venison and chocolate pot. The oysters were great too. My partner loved his dessert: the acorn cake but found his octopus dish a bit of a mismatch of flavours. The main thing for us which let it down was the service - especially of a michelin star restaurant when paying that much for a great experience. Our sommelier was very friendly but our waitress wasn't. Unfortunately, a interaction with her every dish made us feel like unwelcome guests and an imposition to her. Especially compared with the other waitresses when we looked around. Also when we ordered our bottle of champagne it was served in the wine glasses that were already on the table instead of champagne glasses. Not sure if it was too much trouble to get the right glasses - we could see they had them. Such a shame as these are simple things which easily create a great memory.

Went for the 8 course tasting menu. Excellent food and service as you would expect. We had a great table for four in the corner by the window overlooking Green Park. My only regret is having a fairly huge lunch prior to this!

The atmosphere was okay, I liked the interior of the place which I find very unique. However, it took a very long time for the food to be served (long terms between the starter, main, and dessert) and something that we did not order was delivered to our table - which I suspect was a misunderstanding between me and the server (perfectly understandable). Seeing that we did not touch the dish, she promised it was on them (their mistake) but when we received the bill, the soft shell crab was sadly included. She did apologize, but I expected the service to be a bit more upscale :(

We had a beautiful breakfast at Michelin restaurant Hide, with the sun rising over Hyde Park. Everything tasted amazing. The kouigan amann and toasted brioche were a must and their selection of tea and coffee was fantastic! Couldn’t fault the service and prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go again!!

I truly like their interior design! Food quality great, service ok - is really depends who serves you, my feeling is not every staff has the same professionalism to provide the same standard of service to customers in this Michelin restaurant. We had a set lunch menu, 2 cocktails lovely, a side dish broccolis yummy, cake and cheese for dessert. Quite full after eating all of them. Ahh the last thing i want to share is the bread basket is NOT free lol which is unexpected. It cost £9 when i check the bill. To be honest, we don’t care about £9, we order a cocktail there already £16. We are all accustomed to receiving a free bread basket before you order food at fine dining place, right? I didn’t see any Michelin restaurants in hong kong, who doesn’t give a free breadbasket to customers. I only hoped the waiter would tell me that breadbasket cost £9 before they putting it on the table, at least I have a choice, I probably say ‘yes i want it please’. Is it the attitude problem, I don’t like any hidden cost, not honest to customers!

Champagne is served in wine glasses and when I brought that strange fact to the servers attention he said I was the first to bring this up and was stand offish about it. Then the server bought over a cocktail glass and offered to pour it in on the table. No thank you I will have it from the wine glass. The oysters were superb and brightened the mood. The nest egg is a delight. Everything else I ordered didn't hit the spot. Example the octopus was hard overdone and rubbery, a bit to burnt for my liking. I didn't even bring this up as I knew the staff would simply say it's meant to be like that. It was not welcoming. I also am not a big fan of the seating upstairs. It was really bright and I had to ask 2 to 3 times to move to ground floor where it was dimmer. The staff made that simple request really uncomfortable making me wait 15 minutes to see what they could do. It was very busy and other clients seemed happy at the venue, but for me personally do I expect better hospitality. I am sure you will like it, give it a try, but it's not for me.

Friends gave us a gift of a meal at HIDE, and this place did not disappoint! Very expensive, but the food is incredibly creative and flavorful, and the staff was friendly and attentive (just enough without being intrusive). The restaurant is gorgeous, and the views out over Piccadilly Street and Green Park are a great bonus. Definitely a special occasion restaurant, highly recommended!!!

WOW! We had an amazing experience. From the service to the food every aspect was thought of. Highly recommend trying their set lunch menu. They accommodate dietary restrictions which was so nice; the cherry on top is their meat is Halal. Thank you for a wonderful lunch date.

Really enjoyed the food that we ordered, I would say the menu could be a little better with not many choices of meat on order but thr quality was spot on Service was a little slow but for sure I would return, as you expect from any london restaurant it cost around £300 for the two of us that was with one starter and 3 glasses of wine and two mains. Soft shell crab was pretty good and I would recommend it Atmosphere was a little dead but but that was OK as we didn't want a crazy night out

Always the most exquisite meals, with world-class service and sommeliers. Spend a lot of money and treat yourself! Highly recommend the tasting menu, or dishes below Breakfast favourites: Burnt pecan croissant and crumpet with crab Dinner: Chicken liver parfait, crab tempura, roast chicken

Excellent food, delicious cocktails. All ordered was beyond expectation. The downside was that they seem to be in a hurry , we were about to finish our starters and the waiter was already asking if the plates could be taken away then again I was still chewing the last bit of my main and the waiter took the plates of the table. The reservation of the table is for 2 hours and we left the place within 1 and a half so I couldn't understand their hurry.

Arguably one of the best restaurants in London. From the home made bread (which is divine) to the fresh oysters, incredible charcuterie (goose is mind blowing), gorgeous burratta to the mains of octopus and iberico pork and dessert of chef’s signature acorn cake. Everything is absolutely fantastic, beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are attentive and friendly, caring without being invasive. I couldn’t recommend this place more. I honestly don’t know how to compliment this place further, it was sublime. Thank you for an amazing meal and an amazing experience that will stick in the mind for years to come. Simply perfection. Ollie Dabbous, you should be very proud and I wish you luck in the years to come.

We had the taster menu, and everything tasted great. However, we found the lettuce stems on ice rather odd (see picture 2 behind the main plate). The service was great, but the atmosphere could be improved. Given these prices, the restaurant felt too casual (except for the stairs). Perhaps a nice table cloth would have created a more classy atmosphere. Although we appreciated the cookies they gave us for takeaway at the end, they had a very dry and almost inedible core/filling.

Location is good, very well designed. Service is perhaps the best part. It’s rather difficult to hear the person you have in front, very close tables and no intimacy. Food is less elaborate thank it sounds, and prices are quite high for the plate itself, yet you pay the area and the space.

I've been Hide twice for my partner's birthday and weekday breakfast. _ DINNER AT HIDE When we went to the Hide for the first time for my partner's birthday, we impressed from their creativity, not only the presentation but also taste was fabulous. Our mouth were so pleasant and busy to find so many flavour, and the sommelier served fantastic glasses of wine which were fabulously paired with each course menu. And the chef gifted a card for my partner and birthday dessert made perfect day. _ BREAKFAST AT HIDE From the first great dinner experience, we visited again for breakfast. Overall, it was great but not the best place for breakfast due to there were lack of option for vegan diet. However, my partner loved his dish that was egg florentine. But I can't give less than 4 stars because the presentation was absolutely gorgeous as we expected and my partner satisfied of what he got. I wish they have more vegan options, maybe better coffee and some view can be improve,

Delightful food in a nice setting. Staff were really friendly and it didn't feel pretentious at all. The tomato and basil starter was delightful, you can tell the ingredients are exceptionally good quality. I ordered the courgette main (as an alternative to my usually meat laden dishes!) and was slightly disappointed by the lack of flavour. I'd definitely return to sample their other dishes though!

Came here with some friends. Went for the 3 course dinner special. Macareel for starters, Veel for the main and a lemon cake for dessert. The portions was too generous. Already felt full from the starter and a bit of bread. Everything was very tasty, especially the mussels sauce. The mood lighting was very nice.

We booked HIDE for a small wedding lunch which was nothing short of excellent. The food was incredible, wine was amazing, but above all, the hospitality of the staff was just remarkable. From the day we were corresponding with the staff on the arrangements right to the end of the wedding lunch, the staff members were always so attentive to our needs. We would like to thank HIDE for making our special occasion extra special.

  • 5/5 Gilles H. 3 years ago on Google
No nonsense quality cuisine. Everything was very good, in manageable quantity, focusing on a few quality ingredients. You'll find a fair bit of seaweed, mushrooms, nuts, sous-vide cooking and occasional smokey flavours, all used in a way that compliments the main ingredients. In what must have been five courses I didn't see foam once which is a relief. I was invited to a tasting menu so can't comment on prices or a la carte choices. Service and decor were perfect as you'd expect.

Great food and epicurean experience. We booked the private dining room. (the reading room) which I would highly recommend for intimacy and celebrating a special event. The flatbread to ‘graze’ with black truffle and stacciatella was fantastic. Highly recommend going to Hide solely for this dish. The starters of Jerusalem artichoke agnolotti was excellent with subtle flavours. Favourite mains was the barbecued octopus and the duck with Ras el hanout. Warm acorn cake and madeleines were a great ending to a lovely meal. Highly recommend it!

I was quite disappointed with the service despite seeing many waiting staff and hosts running around, we were forgotten most of the time. They only gave us the food menu and left. We had to ask many times for drinks, and we didnt take any chances after this and ordered all at once. They forgot to serve us the wine prior to main course as we wnated to change from white with starters and red with main. It completely messed up our experience and it was disppointing for being such a top tier restaurant . The food was very delicious but it was shadowed by the lack of attention to our table.

We came to have a drink with friends, the atmosphere is subdued, the descent of the stairs makes me think of the Fibonacci suite. Beautiful spirits list and impressive wine list perhaps a little expensive at the level of wine prices per glass £50 for a glass of white chassagne so I had a beer and my friends had cocktails but this is only my personal opinion. However I loved the place and would come back occasionally for dinner.

TOTALLY LOVE IT! I had an amazing lunch at Hide. First of all, I love the name of the restaurant. It's like a secret place and you don't want anyone knowing it and as much as I would like to keep this restaurant to myself, I think they deserve the recognition. On a side note, I really wished I had spoken to the chef. Staff service, just as you walk into the door, was already impeccable. I was ushered to my table, and as I arrived, someone had already pulled the chair for me, and offered a smaller folding chair for my jacket to sit on (perhaps meant for bags, but I didn't have one). Minute details, people! It was a phenomenal five-course lunch and still have me thinking as of writing. Each bite was flavourful, my personal favourite were the egg nest and poached tamarillo, even the selection of breads were symphonic. It was such a calm and unrushed gastronomic spectacle with a complimentary overlooking view of the park and the busy street from (Above). Trying to take advantage of the spare time, I was able to sit for a drink at their underground bar with a special tour to their wine cellar. Perhaps their eight-course menu will be worth coming back.

I love HIDE, they have never disappointed. Food is phenomenal, drinks always topped up. Service is attentive and prompt. Took my mum for her birthday and they presented her with a little Canelé, candle and card. Thanks guys, great as ever

Had the 8 course tasting menu with the classic wine pairing and additional cheese course. Food was exquisitely presented with exceptional flavours and textures, all perfectly rounded off with individual wine pairings per dish, including a wine pairing tailored to your personal cheese selections. A definite dining experience.

The most incredible restaurant with amazing food. Everything was a 10/10. Highly recommended the crab starter and steak meal which is portioned per person.

Delicious food, beautiful interior, from the starters to the main dish it was perfectly presented. It was so good that I've just wished the portions were a little bigger 🙈

We came here for their lunch tasting menu. The food was amazing and the service was great. The only thing I would say is that given I don’t drink wine the cocktail menu was a little disappointing. But would recommend this restaurant to foodies or someone wanting to eat at a star restaurant that has a lunch deal.

Great experience! The food is great, really loved the design of the restaurant, and the wine menu is absolutely exhaustive. The staff are all super friendly too 🙂

A la carte and wine pairing was fantastic. Wonderful cocktails at bar downstairs and great attentive service and knowledge. It's not cheap, the main are about £40 each, and its easy to rack up the costs. However, the overall experience and food was fantastic. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

Absolutely blown away. Eaten at a lot of very good places but this was without doubt the best food I've ever eaten. The service was also incredible. I see a second star on the horizon

On this occasion we are upstairs and opted for the tasting menu. As always the Tasting Menu was exceptional and the service excelled in every way. We selected some fine wines which were promptly brought down from Heddonism just up the road. Yet another of our favourite Michelin dining experiences and truly deserving of a five star review.

Spectacular service with eye to detail, extremely personalized without broadcasting the Michelin placement. Extraordinary quality to the food with great presentation, on an exciting journey with layers of flavor pallets Personally, dinned at Above Hide which is the second floor and only offers tasting menu between 5-7 courses. 7 course priced at £149 per person

Above the Hide. Tried goose for the first time and it’s good. Love the Dover sole. It comes with truffle which brings the taste up and at the same time it’s very tender and rich! Unique taste

We had the set lunch and it was wonderful. The venue is beautifully decorated and you can’t hear any noise from the street outside. Only slight criticism is the wine prices which in my opinion have quite a high markup (starting at around £50 a bottle). Overall a great lunch experience, thank you!

The quality of the food makes the visit worthwhile! However, the service is lackluster. I still recommend coming but be mentally prepared for below par service. The ambiance and decoration are incredible and warm. Food is outstanding, very unique and delicious!!!

Enigma is the best way to describe the entire experience. I’ve never loved British food and I was hoping to at least appreciate it after the meal. The experience didn’t move the needle much for me. I was surprised by the flavors but disappointed by the preparation. For example, the squid had a lot of amazing elements surrounding it but the squid itself was tough and rubbery. The highlights were the bread and the desert.

Food and service are very good, but not mind blowing. Octopus was well cooked but the flavours were on the boring side. Fresh baked madeleines were a highlight. The vibe is enjoyable but may be over done for some tastes. In my opinion the atmosphere is more suited for a swish dinner with drinks than for brunch (we’ve tried both - had dinner with friends on this visit).

Very nice place to go for a casual breakfast, nice menu, even though I could not find any special, seems to be the only not exciting spot of the place, and take the London style with it, in a big city, where every single place offers the same thing. Food was lovely, service nice, kind and professional. Nice atmosphere, especially the table in front of the park upstairs. Definitely a place where I will go back for another occasion (went there for an anniversary), or a casual breakfast with friends.

Took my Husband here for his 40th Birthday and we had an incredible experience. We spent over three hours here, enjoying the tasting menu, one vegan and one standard, and all the dishes tasted exquisite. Everything was beautifully presented and the timing for the tasting menu was perfect. The setting and design of the restaurant is beautiful. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. My only slight disappointment was when I had first booked the restaurant (three weeks prior) the tasting menu was £145 per person, but changed to £160 a few days prior. Plus with the 15% service charge, that increase ended up costing me quite a bit more than initially anticipated, despite me booking at the lower price. I did enquire about this via email but no one replied to me.

Food like never tasted before . The curation of the menu was amazing, styling them with utmost perfection. We went with the ala carte option for breakfast and had the best version of English breakfast. Small details like the bread and the butter were top notch .Also the oyster caviar combination is a must try. The ambience and the service add a great value to the place .

An easy 5 out of 5: probably the best restaurant I've been to. Both flavour and presentation of the food are superb and thought through. The staff are very diverse, attentive and polite. Hide is definitely worth a visit

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch on Valentine’s Day and we had the best time ❤️ the food was out of this world and we are STILL talking about the bread and whipped butter. The staff were incredibly sweet and attentive, the restaurant itself was beautiful, everything was just perfect and we can’t wait to go back.
