One of the most beautiful waterfalls I’ve visited so far. It’s easily accessed with a token and the view is amazing.

Would have given it a 5 star if there were outlined directional maps to the place. The countless times we had to stop and ask natives for directions to the place. That notwithstanding, we had a great time going back to nature. The 30-minute walk from the car park to the waterfall itself was so refreshing..Least we got to exercise he lazy bones lol 😂... Though we didn't do the major hiking, our little hike through the rocks to the waterfall was out of the world..And the waterfall experience was clandestine..I virtually had to force the kids to pause the swims because we had to go to our next destination. We had a great time..The swimming was quite refreshing..This time around , I didn't have to be chasing the kids round the water cos this water was still and not too much of a danger as compared to the beach.. I could go on and on, but hey, make sure to pack your lunch when taking the trip cos trust me, it will really come in handy 😀 and don't go chasing the waterfall 😀 Adieu!!

Chenku Waterfall in Ghana is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates visitors with its beauty and serene ambiance. Tucked away in the lush landscapes of Ghana, this hidden gem offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The journey to Chenku Waterfall is an adventure in itself, as it takes you through picturesque trails that wind through dense forests and babbling brooks. The anticipation builds as you approach the waterfall, and the sight that greets you is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The cascade of water plunges down from a towering height, creating a mesmerizing display of nature's power and grace. The surroundings of Chenku Waterfall are equally enchanting. The area is rich in biodiversity, with vibrant flora and fauna that add to the overall charm of the place. The soothing sound of water crashing against rocks creates a tranquil atmosphere, inviting visitors to unwind and connect with nature. Many find the waterfall's pool perfect for a refreshing swim, making it an ideal spot to cool off on a hot day. One of the best aspects of Chenku Waterfall is its relatively untouched state. Unlike more commercialized attractions, this waterfall retains its natural allure, allowing visitors to experience its beauty in a more authentic way. However, this also means that the site lacks extensive facilities, so visitors should come prepared with essentials such as water, snacks, and proper footwear for the hike. In conclusion, Chenku Waterfall in Ghana offers an unforgettable journey into the heart of nature's splendor. Its remote location and unspoiled beauty make it a haven for adventure enthusiasts and those seeking solace amidst breathtaking landscapes. Whether you're a nature lover, a photographer, or simply looking for a serene escape, Chenku Waterfall will leave you with lasting memories of its awe-inspiring grandeur.

The far, good road to the place but I didn’t like the walk from where we parked to the waterfalls. Entry fee is very affordable and I really had great fun. I think the ministry of Tourism should consider doing something about this place because people do visit the place.

The place is awesome but yet not popular. Aside from the waterfall, there is nothing there. You have to carry your own food there. There is no food court there. No drink joint, nothing.

The place really needs to be developed and taking proper care of.

With the money they take from visitors they can upgrade the road leading to the fall as well as the environment around. Nonetheless it’s a cool place.

For tourist attraction site like Chenku Waterfalls, I expected more. There were no Sign Boards erected to direct tourists to the site from the main road. Some of the rocks at the waterfall need to be moved to create more swimmable space for people

It was crowded on a Sunday, I don’t know if it’s like that always. Not bad.... and oh check out for those motor riders on the way to the water fall, they are pretty reckless 😒

It’s a nice place and has to be really taken off. I hated the fact that the guys there were smoking and some were aggressive. Someone wanted to take my bag and asked me to pay his gang after paying for my ticket. You guys should find a way to stop all of them boys from visiting the falls. There should be security over there. I visited there today 5-10-2021.

The scenery is tranquil. A good getaway from the heat of the city. The inhabitants of the town tend to bath in the water. A fee of 2GH is charged for Ghanaians and 5GH for foreigners. One pays 3GH on holidays.Visited the place on Saturday afternoon and there were not many people there. There is no restaurant in the neighbouring area hence its advisable to bring snacks if you plan to stay long. At the Ghanata jucntion, rode on a motor to the place. MTN network does not work at the falls, unless one comes out to the entrance. Tigo works fine. There are few benches for one to sit on. The water is a little bit sandy. There is not much to watch or do at the place.

It is a cool place to be, especially Not on holidays. I suggest the place will be developed well for recreational purposes and also help in generating revenues.

Its is located in Dodowa forest ,and one thing I know about this waterfall is that the more you shout the more the water comes out from the rock such wonderful to be there.

Chenku Waterfalls is an absolute wonder! While the journey to the falls may be a bit of a trek, it's an integral part of the overall experience, adding an adventurous touch to the visit. The beauty of the falls and the surrounding landscape make every step of the journey worthwhile. A true gem for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a bit of adventure in a breathtaking setting! 🌿🏞️

We went on Sunday, late afternoon time. The place is clean and scenic. It was great and relaxing. Definitely recommend a picnic date or family fun time here. There's a gate fee to those that don't go with a guide or local. I also wouldn't recommend going on Sundays, bc of the type of people that attend. Next time we'll go earlier on a Saturday and with a group so that we can all safely hike to the other waterfall.

The falls wasn't as big as I was hoping. It's not possible for diving u will hit your head or body parts on rocks. The water feels good tho. The way to find it is already difficult and you will drive pass the sign that shows u how to turn in the direction of the falls. Drove past it twice. I wish the people of Ghana WILL STOP litter so much. All the beaches and water spot I've been to was filled with bottles and Black plastic bags. The President or Tourism Minister needs to ban plastic bags and or fine individuals for this kind of behavior. My biggest turn off visiting my ancestral home n possibly my new home.

A nice waterfall. However the hike to the waterfall needs some work to give directions and also some form of security. Be weary of the guys on motorcycles whilst walking on the path to the waterfall.

  • 3/5 Alex M. 1 year ago on Google
The biggest disadvantage about the place is the boys smoking weed around there. Just makes the place feeling less safe.

To reach waterfall you have to walk alot that makes you tired.....and the roads are not good...the way is also bit confusing because there is no sign board...sometimes you will find unwanted people that make you little scary.....apart from that place is beautiful and ok..
